Generative AI (GAI) has emerged as a significant advancement in artificial intelligence, renowned for its language and image generation capabilities. This paper presents "AIGenerated Everything" (AIGX), a concept that extends GAI beyond mere content creation to real-time adaptation and control across diverse technological domains. In networking, AIGX collaborates closely with physical, data link, network, and application layers to enhance real-time network management that responds to various system and service settings as well as application and user requirements. Networks, in return, serve as crucial components in further AIGX capability optimization through the AIGX lifecycle, i.e., data collection, distributed pre-training, and rapid decision-making, thereby establishing a mutually enhancing interplay. Moreover, we offer an in-depth case study focused on power allocation to illustrate the interdependence between AIGX and networking systems. Through this exploration, the article analyzes the significant role of GAI for networking, clarifies the ways networks augment AIGX functionalities, and underscores the virtuous interactive cycle they form. This article paves the way for subsequent future research aimed at fully unlocking the potential of GAI and networks. © 2023, CC BY.

The Dual Fluid reactor (DFR) is a fast reactor concept proposed by the Institute of Solid-state- and Nuclear physics (IFK) in Berlin. The design of DFR aims to combine the Gen-IV Molten Salt reactor (MSR) and the Liquid-Metal Cooled reactor (SFR, LFR), which means that the molten-salt fuel is no more used as coolant while the heat is removed in a separate loop by liquid lead, to improve these two concepts. Without control rods, DFR is given hope to react and take steps to the change of operation conditions automatically by its inertial negative temperature feedback. Since fuel and coolant are both liquid, the circulation speed of each liquid is considered capable to adjust operational parameters for DFR. The original design of a 3000MWth (Wang, 2017) and a downscaled version of 500MWth (He, 2016) were analyzed in the aspects of reactor physics and thermal-hydraulics. For the practical purpose, this paper has proposed a small modular version of the DFR, which has power output of 2MWth. The reactor with such power level is expected in various applications. Therefore, it is necessary to perform the more explicit analysis on the design than the previous ones. The analysis focuses on the neutronic calculations with the default fuel salt of U-Pu mixture under steady state conditions. Copyright © 2018-2019 by JSME

The magnetic and magnetocaloric properties were studied in a stuffed honeycomb polycrystalline antiferromagnet GdInO3. The onset temperature of antiferromagnetic ordering was observed at ~ 2.1 K. Negligible thermal and magnetic hysteresis suggest a reversible magnetocaloric effect (MCE) in the GdInO3 compound. In the magnetic field changes of 0–50 kOe and 0–70 kOe, the maximum magnetic entropy change values are 9.65 J/kg K and 18.37 J/kg K, respectively, near the liquid helium temperature, with the corresponding relative cooling power values of 115.01 J/kg and 211.31 J/kg. The MCE investigation of the polycrystalline GdInO3 serves to illuminate more exotic properties in this frustrated stuffed honeycomb magnetic system. © 2021, CC BY.

Non-reciprocity of energy transfer derived from cubic stiffness-induced nonlinear phenomena

Introducing purely nonlinear elastic elements can induce rich dynamic behaviors, such as bifurcations, jumps and isolated resonance curves, to linear systems. Therefore, these elements are suitable for constructing strong non-reciprocity of vibration energy transfer. First, the energy transfer along reciprocal directions in a three-degree-of-freedom system is investigated, where three oscillators are connected by cubic springs. The semi-analytical solutions of the system are obtained using the complexification-averaging method and the least squares method. The results are compared against numerical solutions obtained by the Runge-Kutta method. The excitation amplitude range that produces strong non-reciprocity of vibration energy is analyzed. The jump phenomenon under combined excitation is investigated, and a trigger method for constructing non-reciprocity using an impulse is proposed. Then, an oscillator chain with cubic stiffness and scaling parameters is embedded into a multi-degree-of-freedom linear oscillator system to further explore the effect of cubic stiffness. Energy transfer along two directions is compared by exciting the leftmost oscillator and the rightmost oscillator. Moreover, the trigger effect of the impulse on non-reciprocity is demonstrated. The results show significant differences in vibration energy transfer within three distinct frequency bands. The critical points between reciprocal and non-reciprocal states are obtained, and the three stages of reciprocity related to excitation amplitude are analyzed. Lastly, the modulation effect of the cubic stiffness on non-reciprocity is conducted by comparing the energy of the output oscillator. © 2025 The Authors

Chlorophyll is a critical indicator of marine primary productivity and is essential in assessing aquatic ecosystem health. To address the limitations of current prediction models regarding accuracy, mobility, and reliability, this study proposes a novel Transformer-LSTM-KOA model for Chlorophyll prediction. Leveraging remote sensing data from the South China Sea, the model synergistically integrates Transformer's global analytical capabilities via self-attention and multi-head attention mechanisms with LSTM's proficiency in capturing long-term dependencies through gated mechanisms. The Kepler Optimization Algorithm (KOA) is subsequently employed to systematically optimize both global and local model parameters, thereby enhancing adaptability and robustness across diverse prediction datasets. Experimental results demonstrate superior performance with MSE and MAE values of 0.00011 and 0.00685, respectively, outperforming benchmark models. This enhanced modeling framework provides crucial technical support for marine ecological forecasting and early warning systems.

We study a Shimura variety attached to a unitary similitude group of a skew-Hermitian form over a totally indefinite quaternion algebra over a totally real number field. We give a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of skew-Hermitian self-dual lattices. Under this condition we show that the superspecial locus in the fiber at p of the associated Shimura variety is non-empty. We also give an explicit formula for the number of irreducible components of the supersingular locus when p is odd and unramified in the quaternion algebra. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. Effects of Geometric Parameters on Performance of Rectangular Submerged Inlet for Aircraft

To improve the comfortability and safety of aircraft,the demand of rectangular submerged inlets(RSIs)with low resistance is proposed to increase the inlet flow rate of ram air. A theoretical model is built to numerically analyze the effects of geometric parameters on the inlet mass flow rate of RSIs. The geometric parameters in question here encompass the aspect ratio of 2—4,the ramp angle of 6°—7°,the characteristic parameter of the throat of 0.20 —0.30,the ramp length of 939—1 337 mm,and the cone angle of 0° —3°. Simulation results demonstrate that the mass flow rate(MFR)is positively correlated with the aspect ratio,ramp angle,ramp length,and cone angle,and negatively correlated with characteristic parameter of the throat. Within the range of the geometric parameters considered,the RSI with the aspect ratio of 3,the ramp angle of 6°,the characteristic parameter of the throat of 0.20,the ramp length of 1 337 mm,and the cone angle of 3° obtains the largest MFR value of about 2.251 kg/s.

Fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics of flying-wing finned tubes in high-altitude environments

High-altitude environments significantly influence the performance of flying-wing finned tube heat exchangers (FWFHEs); however, the specific variation patterns and the underlying mechanisms are poorly understood. To address this gap, this study systematically investigates the fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics, as well as the relevant mechanisms, of flying-wing finned tubes (FWFTs) under high-altitude conditions. The performance of the FWFHE was experimentally evaluated under simulated low-temperature ambient conditions corresponding to an altitude of 1000 m. The established simulation methodology was then validated using these experimental results. Following validation, numerical studies were conducted to examine the fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics of FWFTs over an altitude range of 0–5500 m, with inter-fin inlet air velocities from 6 to 12 m/s and Reynolds numbers ( Re ) between 1250 and 3000. The results indicate that, when the inter-fin inlet air velocity is held constant, the pressure drop, heat transfer rate, and convective heat transfer coefficient all decrease significantly with increasing altitude. Specifically, each parameter is reduced by approximately 5.5%, 5%, and 5% for every 500-m increase in altitude, respectively. Despite these dimensional changes, the primary dimensionless parameters—friction factor, corrected Nusselt number, and performance evaluation criterion—remain largely insensitive to altitude under constant Re conditions, indicating stable dimensionless fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics. This stability results from a compensatory mechanism: the increased airflow velocity needed to maintain constant Re counteracts the rise in kinematic viscosity at higher altitudes. To facilitate engineering calculations, altitude correction factors for pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient are proposed. To achieve highly sensitive characterization of internal material strain fields, this study proposes a digital image correlation strain field measurement method based on higher-order X-ray optical field *** method utilizes random gratings to modulate the X-ray optical field, extracts the information of higher-order field components during material deformation based on the discrepancy between the theoretical transmission model and the experimental measurement, and combines the extracted information with Digital Image Correlation (DIC) technology to achieve precise measurement of internal material strain *** to the experimental comparison and verification, the relative displacement difference between the deformation field distribution obtained by the proposed method and the results of the traditional absorption phase method in the non-boundary and stress concentration area proves that the correlation information of the higher order components can truly reflect the deformation characteristics of the ***, compared to traditional methods, this method demonstrates higher sensitivity in strain field characterization. Particularly in the measurement of shear strain at crack tips, its computational results align more closely with linear elastic fracture mechanics theoretical predictions, providing a novel experimental approach for studying material damage evolution and failure mechanisms. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

The configuration of a corium pool in the lower plenum of reactor vessel is very important for validity of maintaining reactor vessel integrity under IVRERVC (In-Vessel corium Retention through External reactor Vessel Cooling) condition. A method is designed to predict the configuration of corium pool for an Advanced China PWR, call ACP1000 after entire melt dropping into the lower plenum. It takes into account both thermo-chemical reaction of oxides and metals in corium and the influence of different paths of corium relocated from core region into the lower plenum. The reasons why a three-layer pool has not been observed in the MASCA and COSMOS tests are given by this method. The method is applied to investigate the corium configuration of ACP1000 after a hypothetical station blackout (SBO) accident. It is shown that the stratification of the corium pool is related to the relocation paths of the corium. In the case of downward relocation, a two-layer melt pool with a metal layer on the top is formed. For the sideward relocation, the configuration shows a stratified pool consisting of a dense metal layer on the bottom, an oxide layer in the middle and a light metal layer on the top. © 2018 American Nuclear Society.
