An improved method for calculating the inductance of the air-gap inductor is introduced. The existing calculation methods mainly focus on the air-gap fringing effect while ignoring the winding reluctance's influence. In some large-capacity occasions, since the winding of the inductor also has a large volume, the influence of the winding reluctance on the inductance value cannot be ignored. In this paper, the winding reluctance is calculated, and the total inductance is solved based on a magnetic reluctance model. The results show that the proposed method is effective. © 2020 IEEE.

The second generation medium voltage integrated power system (IPS) has a broad application prospect in future vessels. With the increase in the diversification of power-using equipment, the traditional unidirectional two-port converter could no longer meet the application requirements of the new generation IPS. Therefore, this paper discusses the application of MMC-based multi-port converter in vessel IPS by combining modular multilevel converter (MMC), dual active bridge (DAB) technology, and the input-series output-parallel concept. The converter can connect medium voltage DC bus, medium-voltage AC bus, and low-voltage DC power bus, and the introduction of DAB power channels can effectively suppress the inherent voltage fluctuation of MMC. The fundamental principle of the converter are introduced. A simple and feasible decoupling control method is proposed for the power channels composed of DAB. Finally, the function of the module multi-port converter and the feasibility of the control strategy are verified by simulation. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In response to the repeatable and high-reliability locking requirements of the motor mover in an underwater electromagnetic launching device, a passive mover locking device is designed, which is composed of several spring leaves and locking rings. The functions of unlocking and locking are realized by spring leafs bending deformation. Firstly, the key dimensions of the locking device are preliminarily determined by estimating the unlocking force and the locking force through the superposition method. Then, the working process of the locking device is analyzed by numerical simulation. The results show that the locking device meets the functional requirements and strength requirements, and the normal contact stiffness has little influence on the unlocking force, but a great influence on the contact pressure. The setting of the friction coefficient has a great influence on the unlocking force. Finally, the experimental verification of the unlocking process of the locking device is carried out, and the results show that the relative error between the test unlocking force and the numerical simulation results is 9.60%, indicating that the numerical simulation analysis is reasonable. After 400 unlocking tests, there is no obvious change in the unlocking force. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In order to overcome the large axial thrust generated by the working substance (steam or gas, etc) of turbomachinery, an asymmetric axial magnetic bearing (AAMB) is proposed. Firstly, the topology and features of the AAMB are introduced. The magnetic circuit model of the AAMB is established by the reluctance network method. Secondly, the constraints such as the load capacity and dimensions are considered. Then we take the shortest axial length as the optimization goal to design the AAMB, and the design scheme is obtained through genetic algorithm (GA). Finally, the supporting characteristics of the AAMB are verified by finite element method (FEM). The result shows that the overall axial length of the AAMB is less than 82.1 mm of that in the traditional design scheme. © 2022 IEEE.

Segment-powered linear motors(SLM) have high reliability, unbalanced operating data samples and few abnormal samples, making it difficult to detect anomalies through supervised classification models. Therefore, we propose an anomaly detection method based on the reconstruction model, which uses the difference between small reconstruction error of normal samples and large reconstruction error of abnormal samples to detect anomalies. Meanwhile, in order to make the reconstruction model better reconstruct the input samples, this paper introduces adversarial regularization to improve the training effect. The proposed model uses normal samples for training, and unknown state samples for testing. The anomaly score is obtained through the reconstruction error between the input sample and the reconstructed sample, so as to judge whether the input sample is abnormal. Experiments are carried out on the actual operation data of the SLM, which proves the effectiveness of the proposed method in the anomaly detection task of the SLM. © 2023 SPIE.

In this paper, a method for measuring electrical conductivity of the carbon fiber sleeve is introduced. Different from traditional method using the bar, the ring shaped specimen is adopted, where eddy current is induced and flows in the closed loop. An air-gapless reactor was designed, based on this, the reactor was given a sinusoidal excitation with a certain frequency and different amplitudes. By separating the joule loss from the measured total loss, the equivalent electrical conductivity along the circumferential direction can be computed according to the theoretical formula. The result is validated by a finite element model established in Ansoft/Maxwell 3D. © 2020 IEEE.

Considering the fluid nonlinearity, a calculation model based on quasi-linear solution of Westervelt's equation is proposed in this paper. A more accurate approximation of Rayleigh integral is derived and velocity distribution in parametric loudspeaker surface is fitting by a set of Gaussian functions. Gaussian beam expansion is used to simply five-fold integral in calculation difference-frequency wavefield. Spatial sound pressure distribution of an annular array composed of serval rigid disks are presented. It can be found that uniform distribution of difference-frequency wave in xoy-plane is realized by annular array. © 2023 SPIE.

The FPGA is widely used in the power electronics controller to provide real-time control and parallel computing. The robustness and develop efficiency of FPGA affect the safe operation and development period of power electronic equipment, respectively. The existing works mainly focus on the FPGA hardware architecture oriented to one or several power electronic equipment. To improve the flexibility and scalability of FPGA in power electronics controller, this paper presents a novel hardware architecture based on crossbar, which can decouple different FPGA function modules. The proposed hardware architecture can significantly improve the FPGA scalable and accelerate the development period of power electronic equipment. A verification platform is also designed with the proposed hardware architecture. The implementation results show that the presented hardware architecture based on crossbar achieves better scalability and can decouple different function modules design, compared with the existing works. © ACDC 2022. In order to deal with the computational complexity, model diversity, and lack of overall unification by the optimization strategy in the conventional time-domain piecewise analysis and optimization control of the dual-active bridge (DAB) converter, this paper has made a study of the DAB model and its optimization control in terms of frequency domain. First, a modulation method of phase-shift control is proposed so as to be convenient for the frequency-domain expression of DAB key electrical parameters. Then, the full-frequency-domain analytical expressions are deduced that refer to the primary and secondary voltages, leakage inductor current, active and reactive power, an analysis is made of the error and effectiveness of each parameter quantified by the fundamental frequency component, and a two-degree-of-freedom global optimization control strategy is proposed that makes the RMS of leakage inductor current minimal. Finally, the experimental verification is carried out. The result shows that the DAB model analysis and global optimization control method based on the frequency domain are feasible and effective. © 2023, Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Co., Ltd.

The cascaded H-bridges with carrier phase-shift SPWM can increase the equivalent switching frequency and improve the output voltage quality. When the cascaded H-bridges topology is applied to the line-frequency inverter power supply, the bulky magnetic components limit the power density of the power supply. This paper integrates the isolation transformers and filter inductors in the power supply, and develops an optimization design method of the transformer. Through integration and optimization design, the volume power density of the transformer is increased by 69.6%, and the weight power density is increased by 44.8%. © 2020 IEEE.
