A DSP/FPGA-based parallel architecture oriented to real-time image processing applications is presented. The architecture is structured with high performance DSPs interconnected by FPGA. Within FPGA a FIFO interconnection network and the specific data communication protocol are implemented, which interconnect 3 DSPs (TMS320C6414) effectively. The measured performances in the prototype with the proposed parallel architecture, including inter-DSP data communication performance and system computing capacity, show high data transfer bandwidth (up to 400 Mbytes/s) with low latency as well as high image processing performance, which achieve a good balance for parallel image processing

A genetic algorithm based optimization approach is proposed for constrained control allocation problem via adjusting the components of output vector and finding a proper vector in the attainable moment set (AMS) autonomously. The basic idea is to minimize the L 2 norm of error between the desired moment and attainable moment using the designing freedom provided by redundant control surfaces. With the constraints of control surfaces, in order to obtain desired performance of aircraft such as stability and maneuverability, the weights of different components are updated by the genetic algorithm, which makes the close-loop system self-adaptation. As a demonstration, application of the proposed approach to the designing of control system for a tailless fighter is discussed. The results show good closed loop performance and validate the proposed intelligent optimization approach of constrained control allocation for flight control

The characteristics and composing of fault diagnose intelligent agent technology is discussed. The intelligent agent model, and the structure of monitoring agent, analysis agent, diagnose agent of distributed fault diagnose is also discussed. What's more, the class definition of agent diagnose knowledge and the class definition of diagnose rules is expounded with examples. The tasks of fault diagnose system can be decomposed and assigned easily by the intelligent agent technology, and can improve the diagnose ability of distributed remote fault diagnose expert system, can settle well the inconsistency between the universality and adaptability of diagnose software.

A variety of problems in operations research, performance analysis, manufacturing, and communication networks, etc., can be modelled as discrete event systems with minimum and maximum constraints. When such systems require only maximum constraints (or dually, only minimum constraints), they can be studied using linear methods based on max-plus algebra. Systems with mixed constraints are called min-max systems in which rain, max and addition operations appear simultaneously. A significant amount of work on such systems can be seen in literature. In this paper we provide some new results with regard to the balance problem of min-max functions; these are the structure properties of min-max systems. We use these results in the structural stabilization. Our main results are two sufficient conditions for the balance and one sufficient condition for the structural stabilization. The block technique is used to analyse the structure of the systems. The proposed methods, based on directed graph and max-plus algebra are constructive in nature. We provide several examples to demonstrate how the methods work in practice.

To found the suitable models to describe the behavior of biochemistry systems, the dynamic epsiv-SVM method was proposed on the basis of SVM. Each training sample uses different error. The existed methods for selecting the parameters of SVM not only consume time, but also are difficult to find the optimal parameters. The optimal parameters were automatically decided by using multi-object genetic algorithm (MOGA). A new modeling method that combined MOGA with the dynamic epsiv-SVM was presented. The model for penicillin titer pre-estimate was developed by it in Matlab 6.5 with data collected from real plant. The model possesses the strong capability of fitting and generalization. Experiments show that the dynamic epsiv-SVM is superior to the standard SVM modeling method. MOGA is very feasible and efficient too

Brachytherapy is a minimally invasive interventional surgery used to treat prostate cancer. It is composed of three steps: dose pre-planning, implantation of radioactive seeds, and dose post-planning. In these procedures, it is crucial to determine the positions of needles and seeds, measure the volume of the prostate gland. Three-dimensional transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) imaging has been demonstrated to be a useful technique to perform such tasks. Compared to CT, MRI or X-ray imaging, US image suffers from low contrast, image speckle and shadows, making it challenging for segmentation of needles, the prostates and seeds in the 3D TRUS images. In this paper, we reviewed 3D TRUS image segmentation methods used in prostate brachytherapy including the segmentations of the needles, the prostate, as well as the seeds. Furthermore, some experimental results with agar phantom, turkey and chicken phantom, as well as the patient data are reported
