In the industrial production environment, the scarcity of defect samples and the high labor cost of labeling defect samples make supervised machine learning models difficult to implement. In addition, defect detection using deep learning models usually requires high computation cost and advanced hardware platform, which is not suitable for running on embedded platforms. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an unsupervised fabric defect detection method based on lightweight convolutional denoising auto-encoder(LCDAE). The LCDAE model is constructed by the bottleneck layer in MobileNetV3. Experimental results show that the method can effectively detect and localize defects with less computation and has the potential to perform defect detection on edge-embedded platforms. © 2022 ACM.

Zero-shot learning (ZSL) is an important but challenging task in computer vision that aims to identify unseen classes without matching training samples. Current cutting-edge ZSL methods based on locality focus on acquiring the explicit locality of distinguishing characteristics, which could face a lack of adequate supervision at the class attribute level. This paper introduces a novel approach called IAC, which aims to learn Implicit Attribute Composition for ZSL. This method is more comprehensive compared to attribute localization that solely focuses on class-level attribute supervision. IAC utilizes subspace representations that efficiently capture the inherent structure of high-dimensional image features. Then, we learn implicit attribute composition through subspace representation learning. The superiority of the proposed IAC compared to the state-of-the-art is demonstrated through sufficient experiments conducted on three commonly used ZSL datasets, CUB, SUN, and AwA2. © 2023 IEEE.

EEG signals are better able to show changes in human emotions. However, not all channels or spatial EEG signals are valid for emotion recognition. To capture the key effective features of EEG signals that are helpful for emotion recognition, we propose to use the channel space attention mechanism in EEG emotion recognition. We used channel attention to focus on the importance of different channel signals and spatial attention to focus on the importance of different brain regions. Experimental results show that the channel spatial attention mechanism achieves good performance and that it has significant benefits for EEG emotion recognition. © 2023 SPIE.

Mixture-of-Experts for Open Set Domain Adaptation: A Dual-space Detection Approach

Open Set Domain Adaptation (OSDA) copes with the distribution and label shifts between the source and target domains simultaneously, performing accurate classification for known classes while identifying unknown class samples in the target domain. Most existing OSDA approaches, depending on the final image feature space of deep models, require manually-tuned thresholds, and may easily misclassify unknown samples as known classes. Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) could be a remedy. Within an MoE, different experts handle distinct input features, producing unique expert routing patterns for various classes in a routing feature space. As a result, unknown class samples may display different expert routing patterns to known classes. This paper proposes Dual-space Detection, which exploits the inconsistencies between the image feature space and the routing feature space to detect unknown class samples without any threshold. A Graph Router is further introduced to better make use of the spatial information among the image patches. Experiments on three datasets validated the effectiveness and superiority of our approach. © 2020 IEEE.

Structure-free containment control for uncertain underactuated multiple Euler-Lagrange systems

This article studies the problem of structure-free distributed containment control for uncertain underactuated multiple Euler-Lagrange systems(MELSs) considering disturbances by using a layered approach. First, the second layer is the virtual layer constructed artificially for hierarchical control. We move all virtual nodes to the convex hull formed by leaders in the first layer by implementing containment control algorithms on all virtual nodes. Then, the third layer is the following layer, and we propose an adaptive robust tracking controller to ensure that each follower in the third layer tracks the corresponding virtual node in the second layer. So far, the underactuated MELSs can achieve containment control. Furthermore,through the theoretical derivation, sufficient conditions are obtained to achieve the objective of structure-free containment control. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed stratified structure-free containment control method is verified by a simulation example.

With the wide application of Quadrotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (QUAV) in military and civilian fields, its flight reliability problem has become a hot research topic. The propellers, which are the important components relating to the performance of QUAV, play a central role in safe flight. Traditional data-driven fault diagnosis methods of QUAV are based on Euclidean distance, which cannot effectively capture the interrelationship of multiple variables. In this paper, we treat the fault diagnosis of QUAV propeller as a node classification problem in non-Euclidean infinite dimensional space by introducing the method of Local-Global Attention-based Graph Neural Network (LGA-GNN). First, the graph topology is constructed using the KNN method based on the real flight log of the QUAV. Then, the local and global attention strategies are integrated to form a graph-based collaborative feature extraction model. Finally, a unified end-to-end fault diagnosis framework tailored for QUAV is proposed. In the experiment section, real flight data of QUAV with different propeller fault conditions are collected, and the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method are verified by comparing with other methods based on real data. © 2024 IEEE.

The two-cylinder model and the two-sphere model are two widely-used geometrical channel models that are both the generalizations of the two-ring model;however, a comparative study between them seems to be missing in literature. In this paper, under the background of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) air-to-air propagation modeling, similarities and differences between the two geometry-based stochastic models (GBSMs) are analyzed by reviewing their respective closed-form space-time correlation functions (ST-CFs). Notably, some interesting properties of the ST-CFs are analytically obtained, which reveals the behaviors of the ST-CF with respect to several UAV-related parameters, including the moving directions and the antenna orientations. © 2024 IEEE.

With the rapid advancements in space offensive and defensive countermeasure technologies, the scope of international confrontation has expanded beyond the traditional domains of sea, land, and air, reaching into the realm of space. In modern military warfare, the focus has shifted from solely physical and informational aspects to include the cognitive domain. Within this domain, intent recognition emerges as a crucial technology, offering tactical insights and decision-making guidance for future wars. This paper presents an intention recognition algorithm for space target behaviors, utilizing a long short-term memory (LSTM) network. By incorporating time series motion parameters and the relative relationships between enemy and friendly satellite, the algorithm identifies the tactical intentions behind space target orbital behaviors. Additionally, a space target attack and defense scenario simulation environment is established using MATLAB and C-W equations, enabling the creation of a dataset for space target recognition. Through the proposed method, the simulation effectively discerns the orbital behavior intentions of space targets, providing valuable guidance for battlefield decision-making. © 2023 IEEE.
