Global Convergence Guarantees of (A)GIST for a Family of Nonconvex Sparse Learning Problems

In recent years, most of the studies have shown that the generalized iterated shrinkage thresholdings (GISTs) have become the commonly used first-order optimization algorithms in sparse learning problems. The nonconvex relaxations of the \ell _{0} -norm usually achieve better performance than the convex case (e.g., \ell _{1} -norm) since the former can achieve a nearly unbiased solver. To increase the calculation efficiency, this work further provides an accelerated GIST version, that is, AGIST, through the extrapolation-based acceleration technique, which can contribute to reduce the number of iterations when solving a family of nonconvex sparse learning problems. Besides, we present the algorithmic analysis, including both local and global convergence guarantees, as well as other intermediate results for the GIST and AGIST, denoted as (A)GIST, by virtue of the Kurdyka-Lojasiewica (KL) property and some milder assumptions. Numerical experiments on both synthetic data and real-world databases can demonstrate that the convergence results of objective function accord to the theoretical properties and nonconvex sparse learning methods can achieve superior performance over some convex ones. © 2013 IEEE.

Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging based on compressed sensing (CS) theory can recover complete information from limited ISAR echo signals and reduce the imaging cost of ISAR. The traditional Smooth L0 norm (SL0) algorithm can effectively solve the problem of ISAR signal recovery in the case of high SNR. However, there are usually strong noise and clutter in radar imaging, which greatly reduces the quality of ISAR signal recovery. On the basis of the traditional SL0 algorithm, this paper introduces the dictionary optimization process and proposes the dictionary optimization SL0 algorithm (DO-SL0). By optimizing the dictionary to adapt to the characteristics of the target signal, the performance of signal recovery is improved, the quality of sparse signal recovery under low SNR environment is improved while the cost is controlled, and the ISAR imaging results are effectively improved. In this paper, image entropy (ENT) is used to evaluate and compare ISAR images in low SNR environments using DO-SL0, SL0 and OMP methods respectively. Numerical experiment results show that under the same test conditions, the image entropy of sparse restored ISAR images using DO-SL0 method is lower than that of the other two methods, which verifies that the new algorithm can obtain higher quality restored signals in low SNR environment.

Deep learning-based methods have shown their wide application prospects in the field of solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)***,the irrationality of the prediction object and the lack of prediction accuracy have hindered the progress of the prediction methods for SOFC ***,two algorithms are proposed in this study,a feature selection algorithm based on maximum information coefficient and Bayesian information criterion for identifying key variables that are sensitive to changes in the SOFC system,and a prediction model based on a genetic algorithm optimized for sequence to sequence *** M/BIC algorithm reduces the number of features by 62.5%(from 40 to 15),which contributes to the acceleration of the algorithm training and the subsequent sensor layout *** prediction model incorporates a two-dimensional convolutional neural network and a multi-head attention mechanism to capture more information in the input sequence,an encoder-decoder architecture and a Gated recurrent unit to better predict performance *** with real experimental data show significant changes in feature dimensionality reduction and prediction accuracy.

Solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC) is a new energy power supply device that has been highly popular in recent years. It has the advantages of high efficiency, quietness, and no pollution. However, due to the long-term operation of the SOFC system in a high-temperature environment, various faults are inevitable, which will affect the normal operation of the system. Therefore,this paper mainly focuses on the rupture fault of the heat exchanger and the hydrogen shortage fault that occur during the operation of the SOFC. A novel method(PCA-RF) for SOFC system fault diagnosis is established by combining principal component analysis and random forest algorithm. This method not only has a simple process but also has high ***, this algorithm can well help researchers accurately identify whether there is a fault in the actual use scenario of the SOFC, so as to reduce or recover unnecessary losses.

In this article, for a three degree of freedom elbow quadruped robot, we first focus on linearizing the translational and rotational kinematic models of the quadruped robot, and retain more linearization terms to ensure the accuracy of the model. Furthermore, a model predictive controller is designed and the optimal ground reaction force of the supporting leg is solved using quadratic programming. Finally, simulations were designed for different gait types to verify the algorithm.

Microgrids possess the ability to use renewable energy efficiently and play an increasingly significant role in environmental protection and sustainable development. Meanwhile, reversible solid oxide fuel cell(rSOC) is currently a new type of energy conversion and storage. Combining with microgrid systems is a great way to benefit from its high capacity, high efficiency, and cleanliness. However, r SOC's complex system of coupled heat, electricity, and gas presents a significant challenge in finding energy management strategies for microgrid applications containing rSOC. In this study, for a microgrid system combining rSOC, battery energy storage system(BESS), solar photovoltaic(PV), and wind turbine generator(WTG), we propose a model-based energy management strategy that simultaneously takes into account the economy of the microgrid system and the stability of the rSOC system. First of all, the microgrid is modeled with great detail, including the wind turbine, solar panels, battery storage system, and rSOC. In addition, the microgrid energy management problem is framed as a mathematical programming problem, with the attention focusing on the costs of BESS aging and operational energy loss of rSOC. In particular,this study also proposes a penalty strategy to reduce the power fluctuation amplitude of the rSOC system and reduce the mode switching frequency of the rSOC system. Using the solver, solving for each device's target power in a microgrid. The actual power operating curve is output by tracking the target power under slope constraints using the Simulink model. We then conduct a case study using data from Wuhan, China. Our research shows that compared with the control strategy based on rule control,the control strategy proposed in this study can reduce the power variation amplitude of the rSOC system by 79%, reduce the mode switching frequency by 85%, reduce the system operating cost by 4.5% and increase the energy self-sufficiency rate by9%.

Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is widely used in the fields of strategic exploration and ocean surveillance due to its all-day, all-weather wide-area search and detection *** images are sensitive to the imaging azimuth, and the SAR images of the same ship target in different azimuths have certain differences, and the multi-azimuth SAR image sequence contains rich classification and identification information. Aiming at the problem that environmental interference and data corruption affect the reliability of multi-view integration and final decision, this paper proposes a credible multi-view ship target recognition algorithm based on pseudo-view enhancement, which achieves high recognition accuracy under interference conditions, small datasets, and variations in the number of input images, respectively. The experimental results show that the recognition accuracy of this method is better than other target recognition on most of the datasets and has a certain degree of robustness.

In IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN, as the number of nodes increases, collisions will increase correspondingly, channel utilization will decline, and the total throughput will decline instead of increasing, leading to system performance degradation. Through in-depth analysis of the root cause of this problem, this paper designs a simple and effective algorithm, which uses ARMA filtering algorithm to measure the conditional collision probability and then calculate the number of nodes in the network. The AP tells all nodes in the network in the form of broadcast when the number of nodes in the network changes, after all nodes receive the broadcast sent by the AP, they dynamically adjust the network parameters accordingly. Finally, NS2 simulation software is used to conduct simulation experiments in a variety of network scenarios, and the experimental results verify that the algorithm in this paper is simple and effective, with less changes to IEEE 802.11, and is suitable for use and promotion in wireless networks. It can optimize the network system performance based on the number of nodes, improve the system throughput, and significantly improve the network performance. According to the number and density of nodes, the algorithm reduces the collision probability by dynamically adjusting the timeslot, accordingly increases the total network throughput, and achieves the purpose of effectively improving the network performance. © 2022 IEEE.

In view of the imbalance of upstream and downstream flows in the access of local manufacturing resources, this paper proposes a dynamic adjustment algorithm based on bandwidth fair allocation (DAPFBA, Dynamic Adjustment of Packet based on Fair Bandwidth Allocation), which dynamically adjusts the packet size of nodes according to the number of downflows and realizes the downstream throughput balance, so as to realize the fair distribution of upstream and downstream bandwidth. According to the actual situation of the network, the algorithm can be implemented in the AP without modifying the MAC of other wireless nodes, which saves the workload of the implementation. Especially in the case of more and scattered wireless nodes, it only needs to modify the AP without modifying other nodes, eliminating a lot of work to configure the decentralized nodes. © 2022 IEEE.
