This paper investigates the consensus problems of heterogeneous discrete-time (DT) nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) with unknown dynamics and switching typology. By adding a virtual model to each agent and using the model reference protocol to the actual model, the consensus problems of unknown nonlinear MASs are transformed into consensus problems of known virtual linear MASs, and a distributed control law is designed for the virtual model to make the virtual linear MASs achieve consensus under the switching typology. Two numerical simulations with nonidentical nonlinear dynamics and switching typology are given to prove the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Emotion Recognition in Conversation (ERC) has attracted widespread attention in the natural language processing field due to its enormous potential for practical applications. Existing ERC methods face challenges in achieving generalization to diverse scenarios due to insufficient modeling of context, ambiguous capture of dialogue relationships and overfitting in speaker modeling. In this work, we present a Hybrid Continuous Attributive Network (HCAN) to address these issues in the perspective of emotional continuation and emotional attribution. Specifically, HCAN adopts a hybrid recurrent and attention-based module to model global emotion continuity. Then a novel Emotional Attribution Encoding (EAE) is proposed to model intra- and inter-emotional attribution for each utterance. Moreover, aiming to enhance the robustness of the model in speaker modeling and improve its performance in different scenarios, A comprehensive loss function emotional cognitive loss $\mathcal{L}_{EC}$ is proposed to alleviate emotional drift and overcome the overfitting of the model to speaker modeling. Our model achieves state-of-the-art performance on three datasets, demonstrating the superiority of our work. Another extensive comparative experiments and ablation studies on three benchmarks are conducted to provided evidence to support the efficacy of each module. Further exploration of generalization ability experiments shows the plug-and-play nature of the EAE module in our method.

In this paper, the lifting platform structure of the father robot and the development of the insect-inspired biomimetic underwater microrobot are presented. The objective is to decrease the load of microrobot and realize more functions. In previous researchers, the platform of the father robot is fixed, which is not conducive to adopt and release the son robot. The structure of the lifting platform can effectively solve the problem in theory. The insect-inspired microrobot used wood which has high hydrophilism. It causes the body of microrobot increased weight and short-term works. The fillable structure with waterproof character which is made by a 3D printer. The new structure also can be changed weight for achieving different functions underwater efficiently. Then, two kinds of communication between the light source and microrobot like chasing rotation and fixed distance chasing are described in order to prove the feasibility of the software. In all these cases, experimental results show the performance of the microrobot.

Modelling brain based on canonical ensemble with functional MRI: A thermodynamic exploration on neural system

Objective. Modelling is an important way to study the working mechanism of brain. While the characterization and understanding of brain are still inadequate. This study tried to build a model of brain from the perspective of thermodynamics at system level, which brought a new thinking to brain modelling. Approach. Regarding brain regions as systems, voxels as particles, and intensity of signals as energy of particles, the thermodynamic model of brain was built based on canonical ensemble theory. Two pairs of activated regions and two pairs of inactivated brain regions were selected for comparison in this study, and the analysis on thermodynamic properties based on the model proposed were performed. In addition, the thermodynamic properties were also extracted as input features for the detection of Alzheimer's disease. Main results. The experiment results verified the assumption that the brain also follows the thermodynamic laws. It demonstrated the feasibility and rationality of brain thermodynamic modelling method proposed, indicating that thermodynamic parameters could be applied to describe the state of neural system. Meanwhile, the brain thermodynamic model achieved much better accuracy in detection of Alzheimer's disease, suggesting the potential application of thermodynamic model in auxiliary diagnosis. Significance. (1) Instead of applying some thermodynamic parameters to analyze neural system, a brain model at system level was proposed from perspective of thermodynamics for the first time in this study. (2) The study discovered that the neural system also follows the laws of thermodynamics, which leads to increased internal energy, increased free energy and decreased entropy when system is activated. (3) The detection of neural disease was demonstrated to be benefit from thermodynamic model, implying the immense potential of thermodynamics in auxiliary *** Codes 80-10, 82-10, 92B99 Copyright © 2021, The Authors. The finite element simulation for the joints of an exoskeleton robot is conducted in this paper. Using software OpenSim to simulate the normal walking gait of the human body, the motion angle and moment of the human hip, knee and ankle joints are obtained. Using the obtained data as the input parameters in the finite element simulation of the simulation software Ls-dyna, the strain diagrams and contact force curves of the circular roller and cam disk were obtained. In this study, three commonly used materials are selected: alloy steel, ductile iron and hard aluminum alloy. Finally, the effects of different materials on the key components of the series elastic actuator are studied.

With the rapid development of railway traffic system, real-time semantic segmentation plays a crucial role in railway track scene monitoring. However, most of the existing methods use lightweight convolution to reduce the computational complexity, which results in reduced accuracy. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a real-time semantic segmentation network called TICNet, which is specifically used for accurate segmentation of railway track scenes. TICNet uses a novel three-branch structure designed for efficient feature extraction and accurate segmentation. Results on the RailSem19 dataset show that TICNet has a segmentation accuracy of 62.36% mIoU with an inference speed of 81.2 FPS, which is significantly better than many existing methods.

The prevailing referring expression comprehension (REC) method is based on two stages: 1) detecting multiple candidate proposals using an object detector and 2) aligning proposals with text descriptions. Existing two-stage models have achieved significant improvements with excellent alignment modules. However, their alignment modules treat each proposal equally without filtering expression-unrelated proposals. These expression-unrelated proposals may interfere with the alignment modules' ability to accurately reason about the target proposal. These proposals also increase the difficulty of training alignment modules. To solve this problem, we propose a new framework, that can suppress expression-unrelated proposals for alignment modules. Specifically, we first design a suppression module, which calculates the relevance scores between the proposals and the expression by using the semantics in the expression. Then, these scores are integrated into three basic alignment modules, including subject, location, and relationship modules, to guide each module to focus on the expression-related proposals. We conduct extensive experiments on three benchmark datasets, and the results show the effectiveness of our suppression module and performance improvement. © 2023 IEEE.
