Fabrication of patterned transparent conductive glass via laser metal transfer for efficient electrical heating and antibacteria

Vapor deposition and three-dimensional(3D)printing technology are considered to be conventional methods to achieve patterned metal film preparation through the assistance of masks and high ***,there are still some challenges in fabricating metal films in template-free and normal temperature *** this work,we report a flexible and rapid laser metal transfer(LMT)technique for fabricating the various metal films(Cu,Ni,Sn,Al,Fe,and Ag)with different patterns without templates on arbitrary substrates(glass,polyimide(PI)films,and aluminum nitride(AlN)ceramic).Especially,the obtained transparent conductive glass displays high transmittance(more than 90%)and adjustable resistances(≈5Ω).According to the Joule effect,the interface resistance between Cu particles and copper oxide coating produces the high temperature approximately 280℃ at 2 V in a short time(≈60 s)and remains stable at 120℃ over 12 *** last,the multifunctional glass with Cu patterns also shows excellent bactericidal activity(≈95%).This work demonstrates that laser metal transfer is an exceeding effective means of fabricating the micro/nano structures with potential applications in functional devices.

As an important part of semicrystalline polymer materials,polyolefin elastomers are widely used,and the in-depth analysis of their molecular chain structure information is of great significance to promote their rapid *** show in this work an effort in characterizing a commercial polyolefin elastomer of ethylene/1-octene copolymer by a modified successive self-nucleation and annealing(SSA)technique.A small amount of linear polyethylene was blended with the ethylene/1-octene copolymer serving as nucleation agent during *** turned out that a tiny fraction of linear polyethylene can significantly promote the crystallization of the copolymer during cooling from different annealing temperatures and increase the melting temperature of the fractions so that providing apparent methylene sequence length much closer to the real value than obtained by traditional SSA technique.

It is a challenge to polish the interior surface of an additively manufactured component with complex structures and groove sizes less than 1 *** polishing methods are disabled to polish the component,meanwhile keeping the structure *** overcome this challenge,small-grooved components made of aluminum alloy with sizes less than 1 mm were fabricated by a custom-made printer.A novel approach to multi-phase jet(MPJ)polishing is proposed,utilizing a self-developed polisher that incorporates solid,liquid,and gas *** contrast,abrasive air jet(AAJ)polishing is recommended,employing a customized polisher that combines solid and gas *** jet polishing,surface roughness(Sa)on the interior surface of grooves decreases from pristine 8.596 μm to 0.701 μm and 0.336 μm via AAJ polishing and MPJ polishing,respectively,and Sa reduces 92％and 96％,***,a formula defining the relationship between linear energy density and unit defect volume has been *** optimized parameters in additive manufacturing are that linear energy density varies from 0.135 J mm-1 to 0.22 J *** unit area defect volume achieved via the optimized parameters decreases to 1/12 of that achieved via non-optimized *** fluid dynamics simulation results reveal that material is removed by shear stress,and the alumina abrasives experience multiple collisions with the defects on the heat pipe groove,resulting in uniform material *** is in good agreement with the experimental *** novel proposed setups,approach,and findings provide new insights into manufacturing complex-structured components,polishing the small-grooved structure,and keeping it unbroken.

Layered magnetic materials,such as MnBi_(2)Te_(4),have drawn much attention owing to their potential for realizing twodimensional(2D)magnetism and possible topological ***,FeBi_(2)Te_(4),which is isostructural to MnBi_(2)Te_(4),has been synthesized in experiments,but its detailed magnetic ordering and band topology have not been clearly understood ***,based on first-principles calculations,we investigate the magnetic and electronic properties of FeBi_(2)Te_(4)in bulk and 2D *** show that different from MnBi_(2)Te_(4),the magnetic ground states of bulk,single-layer,and bilayer FeBi_(2)Te_(4)all favor a 120°noncollinear antiferromagnetic ordering,and they are topologically trivial narrow-gap *** the bilayer case,we find that a quantum anomalous Hall effect with a unit Chern number is realized in the ferromagnetic state,which may be achieved in experiment by an external magnetic field or by magnetic proximity *** work clarifies the physical properties of the new material system of FeBi_(2)Te_(4)and reveals it as a potential platform for studying magnetic frustration down to 2D limit as well as quantum anomalous Hall effect.

Geomagnetic storms can cause severe space weather impacts on space technology, such as anomaly and loss of satellites and spacecraft. We investigate solar wind conditions in responsible for two consecutive geomagnetic storms driven by different sources: a high-speed solar wind stream (HSS) on November 3-4, 2022, and a coronal mass ejection (CME) associated with an M5.2 solar flare on November 7, 2022. Spatial and temporal variations in thermospheric density and auroral activity are studied for the two geomagnetic storms. Measurements from the Swarm satellite show that the HSS-driven geomagnetic storm enhanced the thermospheric density by ~69.4% at 462 km and by ~92.8% at 511 km, and the CME-driven geomagnetic storm enhanced it by ~99.4% at 462 km and by ~145% at 511 km. Images taken by the F17 DMSP/SSUSI indicate the auroral emission produced by CME-driven geomagnetic storm is significantly stronger than that produced by HSS-driven storm, while the HSS-driven auroras last longer than the CME-driven ones. The correlation between the hourly moving averaged SymH data and the thermospheric density is stronger for Swarm-A than for Swarm-B. The response times of the thermospheric density for the HSS-driven geomagnetic storm are zero at 462 km and ~47 minutes at 511 km, while for the CME-driven geomagnetic storm are ~28 minutes and ~35 minutes, respectively. This study sheds light on the mechanisms underlying the change in the thermospheric density in relation to different geomagnetic activities. © 2023 Institute of physics Publishing. Research on Correcting High-Mass Discrimination Effect of the Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer with Dodecane

The quadrupole mass spectrometer (QMS) is one of the most established and widely used residual gas measurement instruments. However, a potential problem with QMS is the high-mass discrimination effect, which refers to the apparent ability to transmit ions with lower m/z values more efficiently than those with higher m/z values. It also leads to a reduction in the sensitivity of QMS when measuring ions with higher m/z values. Aiming at this problem, A method with dodecane to correct the high-mass discrimination effect of QMS was proposed and a correction device was designed. Finally, to verify the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper, the high-mass discrimination effect of two quadrupole mass spectrometers was corrected through experiments. Results show that the method proposed in this paper can effectively reduce the impact of high-mass discrimination effect on QMS measurements without distinguishing between these specific sources of discrimination effect. © 2023, The Authors. A First-Principles Study of Hfb2 Anisotropic Surface Stability and its Oxygen Adsorption Behavior

In this work, the HfB2 anisotropic surface stability, and the adsorption and diffusion behavior of oxygen molecule on the most likely exposed HfB2 surface were investigated based on density functional theory. The study found that the HfB2(0001) surface terminated by Hf (labeled as: Hf-(0001)) is more stable and more likely interact with oxygen molecule. By rotating the oxygen molecule orientation and changing the adsorption site, all possible high and low-symmetry adsorption configurations are considered. The results show that the low symmetry structure is unstable, and eventually turn into the high symmetry ones. For the highly symmetric structures, oxygen molecule tends to be adsorbed in parallel, and the dissociated oxygen molecule tends to be located at the bridge and hollow site of the Hf-(0001) surface. Charge density difference and Partial density of states proved that three absorbed structures present similar electronic interaction characteristics, and oxygen adsorption mainly affects the Hf atom at the outmost layer of the Hf-(0001) plane. Oxygen atoms bind to the Hf-(0001) surface mainly in the form of ionic bonds and covalent bonds, originating from the orbital hybridization of O-p and Hf-d. The oxidation of HfB2 starts from the interaction between oxygen and Hf. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Alkali metals have been widely used as promoters of metal catalysts in various applications,yet the atomic understanding of the promotional mechanism remains *** this work,we for the first time report the significant promotional effect of potassium to the Co-N-C single-atom catalyst for the direct dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene.K cation was introduced by impregnation of Co-N-C with KCl followed by calcination at 600℃,which resulted in the bonding of K to the Co-O moiety of the Co-N-C catalyst as revealed by X-ray absorption spectroscopy in combination with theoretical *** formation of Co-O-K moiety led to the increase of electron density at the O atom due to electron transfer of K to O,and consequently facilitated the heterolytic cleavage of the C-H bond of ethylbenzene across the Co-O *** promotional effect of K was found to be a volcanofunction with the K/Co ratio and became the greatest at the K/Co ratio of 1.36,which resulted in the highest steady-state reaction rate of 9.7 mmolEB·gcat^(−1)·h^(−1)reported thus ***,the catalyst exhibited excellent stability during 100 h time on stream.
