When the traditional SNR estimation algorithm based on singular value decomposition (SVD) is applied to the digital data analysis of spaceflight TT&C system, problem of large deviation arises. This paper analyzes the limitations of SVD, and proposes a modified singular value decomposition (MSVD) SNR estimation algorithm. Before estimating SNR by use of SVD, MSVD does some processing to whiten noise, such as band-pass, down-sampling, and up-sampling. The simulation results show that this algorithm can, within a large range, accurately estimate the actually received SNR, effectively improving the application scope of traditional algorithms.

An anti-windup compensate algorithm for active disturbance rejection mechanism is proposed in this paper. This paradigm extends the traditional anti-windup scheme to the Active Disturbance Rejection Control(ADRC) mechanism, to deal with the input saturation nonlinearity and meanwhile reject the disturbance automatically by using Extended State Observer(ESO). The output of anti-windup compensator is treated as a part of unknown disturbances and is introduced into the ESO, which can online observe both internal and external disturbances(parameter uncertainties and model mismatches). The controller input is yielded by using a nonlinear feedback combination, and it is used to compensate the integrator windup caused by the saturation nonlinearity element. On the other hand, in order to determine the parameters of the ESO and the anti-windup compensator feedback gain, the L2 gain is adopted. The effectiveness and the robustness against model and parameter uncertainties of the proposed method is verified by an example of the seeker platform.

The regime of the Arctic ice cover has shifted to a new state dominated by seasonal sea ice, as perennial sea ice has diminished drastically. Changes in the distribution of sea ice classes can precondition summer melt, alter the surface albedo, upset the Bowen ratio, and impact atmospheric photochemical processes. To investigate Arctic sea ice, environmental, and chemical changes, we conducted the Bromine, Ozone, and Mercury Experiment (BROMEX) around Barrow, Alaska, in March-April 2012, together with continuous measurements through the present. We used satellite active microwave scatterometer (AMS) and passive microwave radiometer (PMR) to observe the change in sea ice extent (SIE). A problem for sea ice observations in summer is that surface melt can impact PMR signatures of sea ice, causing large uncertainties in the measurement of SIE. We developed an AMS algorithm to determine SIE, primarily based on a quadruplet combination of relative AMS values rather than the absolute magnitudes of the signature and thus improving SIE accuracy. Then we took the SIE product from AMS in 2000-2009 to calibrate PMR results and reconstruct a SIE time series over three decades (1979-2013). To monitor sea surface temperature change caused by river discharge, we obtain results from two different algorithms using data acquired from the Moderate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instruments that are currently in orbit on both the Terra and Aqua satellites, launched in 1999 and 2002, respectively. We present results from spring-summer 2012 over the Beaufort Sea where warm waters from the Mackenzie River surged onto the sea surface layer thereby accelerating sea ice melt. To cope with the increasing complexity and constantly changing capability requirements of system-of-systems, an architectural approach for capability mapping and gap analysis is ***, a more specific architecture framework is presented. Secondly, on the basis of the analysis of the semantic relationships between constituent architecture data elements, a capability mapping approach is proposed to manage the relations between capabilities and systems based on the mapping matrixes representing associations of core entities. Then, a four-step capability mapping process for the mapping from capabilities to systems is suggested. Moreover, the capability gap analysis on how to identify and fill the capability gaps is also studied. Finally, an example of specific Net-Centric Warfare mission of Precision Engagement is used to illustrate the feasibility of the approach.
