Poisson distribution model is the basis of data analysis for GM-APD lidar, but it is only applicable to the mirror reflected target under ideal conditions, and cannot accurately describe the photon triggering process of actual GM-APD lidar detection. For the actual target with rough surface, the negative binomial distribution with M as the parameter can describe the photon distribution model more accurately. In order to solve this problem, this paper compares and analyzes Poisson distribution triggering model and the negative binomial distribution triggering model that conforms to the triggering situation of the echo signal of the target with rough surface, considering the differences in the triggering probability under different noise and signal levels. The results show that the trigger probability curve corresponding to the trigger model based on negative binomial distribution is lower in peak value, wider in bottom value and fatter overall than that of the trigger model based on Poisson distribution, and the difference between the two is more prominent under the conditions of low noise level and high signal level. This study has guiding significance for the signal extraction research based on different surface echoes. © 2024 SPIE.

Manifold Constraint Regularization for Remote Sensing Image Generation

Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) have shown notable accomplishments in remote sensing domain. However, this paper reveals that their performance on remote sensing images falls short when compared to their impressive results with natural images. This study identifies a previously overlooked issue: GANs exhibit a heightened susceptibility to overfitting on remote sensing images. To address this challenge, this paper analyzes the characteristics of remote sensing images and proposes manifold constraint regularization, a novel approach that tackles overfitting of GANs on remote sensing images for the first time. Our method includes a new measure for evaluating the structure of the data manifold. Leveraging this measure, we propose the manifold constraint regularization term, which not only alleviates the overfitting problem, but also promotes alignment between the generated and real data manifolds, leading to enhanced quality in the generated images. The effectiveness and versatility of this method have been corroborated through extensive validation on various RS datasets and GAN models. The proposed method not only enhances the quality of the generated images, reflected in a 3.13% improvement in Frechet Inception Distance (FID) score, but also boosts the performance of the GANs on downstream tasks, evidenced by a 3.76% increase in classification accuracy. The charge-discharge between distributed generations and electric vehicles (EVs) will be an important component of the future development of EVs. In this paper, the optimal configuration ratio (CR) of grid-following/forming (GFL/GFM) control for high-penetration renewable energy integrated system containing EV is investigated: (1) The mathematical models for the grid-connected inverter and GFL/GFM control are elaborated, and five simulation cases with different CRs [CR: (100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 0%)] are simulated in PSCAD/EMTDC. (2) The optimal CR is obtained through the comparative analysis of simulation results of different CRs under load disturbance /single phase-to-ground fault/island operation mode with corresponding evaluation indicators.

This paper presents a miniaturized TEM horn antenna for ground penetrating radar (GPR). First, an exponential gradient horn antenna is designed with a low cut-off frequency of 0.45 GHz. Then, the low cut-off frequency is decreased to 0.19 GHz through curve structural loading and lens loading without increasing the size of the horn. The antenna size is 378.49 mm × 359.07 mm × 386.06 mm, corresponding to 0.226 λ 1 × 0.238 λ 1 × 0.243 λ 1 ( λ 1 is the wavelength corresponding to the lowest frequency of the antenna). The results show that the working bandwidth of the antenna is 0.19-3GHz, and it has a good radiation pattern in the band, with a peak gain of 12.4dBi, which would be a good candidate for GPR.

Due to the nonlinearity of the reactor power system, the load tracking situation is closely related to the initial steady-state power and the final steady-state power after the introduction of the state feedback controller. Therefore, when the initial power and the final stable power are determined, the particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to find the optimal controller parameters to minimize the load tracking error. Since there are many combinations of initial stable power and final stable power, it is not possible to find the optimal controller parameters for all combinations, so the neural network is used to take the final stable power and the initial stable power as input, and the optimal controller parameters as the output. This method obtains the optimal state feedback controller switching control method can achieve a very excellent load tracking effect in the case of continuous power change, in the power change time point, the response is fast, in the controller parameter switching time point, the actual power does not fluctuate due to the change of controller parameters. .

In view of the characteristics of complex influencing factors and coupling interaction of various combat capabilities in the effectiveness evaluation of space- based information system (SIS), the effectiveness evaluation method of SIS based on improved AHP-BP neural network was proposed, which was mapped to multi-attribute decision making problem. The weight of experts was determined from the objective perspective to improve the traditional AHP and calculate the relevant influencing factors among experts. The comprehensive evaluation value is obtained according to the evaluation matrix, and the comprehensive weight of the index is obtained by the weighted average of the expert weight and the index weight. The evaluation data obtained from improved AHP and combat simulation data are used as prior samples to train BPNN to obtain the effectiveness evaluation model. Finally, sample data were obtained through MATLAB and STK co-simulation to evaluate the operational effectiveness of SIS and verify the effectiveness of the model. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper proposes a W-band all-dielectric lens antenna with the characteristic flat-top beam. The lens loaded on the horn is composed of 10 concentric elliptical rings and a tapered matching layer. Its geometries are optimized by the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II). The lens antenna designed at 92-97 GHz achieves a beamwidth of 40° with ripple level less than 1 dB in E-plane and H-plane. In addition, the proposed antenna can be prototyped easily using 3D-printing technology with low cost.

A low-profile and ultra-wideband unidirectional monopole antenna with absorbing material loading is proposed for ground-penetrating radar (GPR) applications in the UHF band. The overall dimensions of the antenna is 0.472λ 0 × 0.152λ 0 ×0.006λ 0 , where λ 0 is the free-space wavelength at the lowest frequency of 0.38GHz. The monopole antenna with low profile operates in the 0.38GHz-3GHz band with standing-wave ratio<2, a realized gain between -8.13 and 0.04 dBi. Good unidirectional radiation patterns were obtained in the whole band. The composed array antenna can be applied to the transmit signal and receive signal modules of the system.

In order to solve the problem of effectiveness evaluation of military communication network (MCN) under complex application conditions, an intelligent evaluation method based on BP neural network is proposed. Based on the establishment of hierarchical evaluation index system, a neural network model is used to describe the mapping relationship between the index value and the overall effectiveness, and samples are extracted from experts' experience to train the neural network, so as to realize the intelligent evaluation and calculation of MCN's effectiveness. The simulation results show that this method has high accuracy, simplicity and can meet the requirements of MCN effectiveness evaluation under various military application conditions. © 2021 IEEE.
