In the determination of the Earth gravity field in satellite geodesy, the inclination functions represent the projection of data observed along the orbital plane of a satellite orbit into the sphere in the terrestial reference frame. The inclination functions in this work is studied from a group theoretical perspective. The inclination functions are proved to generate a representation of the SO(3) group. An orthogonal relation of the inclination functions is derived and some recurrence relations for the inclination functions are given, based on which an algorithm to calculate the inclination functions is proposed.

The load balancing problem is becoming the main technical obstacle in HLA distributed simulation development with the increasing scale of distributed simulation system. The solution of task-federate mapping and federate-processor mapping used to be determined based on experiences and the entity is taken as a task granularity in simulations in order to simplify the model in previous studies. Neither the experience methods nor the previous studies could solve the huge communication overhead or load imbalance problem effectively in large scale distributed simulation. The static load balancing optimization of HLA distributed simulation is divided into task-federate mapping and federate-processor mapping, and a two-stage mapping allocation optimization method is proposed in this paper. Decreasing communication overhead of the system is the main mission in the taskfederate mapping stage and the load balancing is studied in the federate allocation stage. The effectiveness of the proposed method, which developed a new direction for static load balancing distribution optimization in distributed simulations, is verified with experiments.

With consideration of the flexible attachment effect, a robust sliding mode control method is proposed to realize RBF optimization of 3-DOF satellite with 2-DOF load. RBF neural network's approximation characteristic enables us to estimate the nonlinear function of satellite dynamics equation, furthermore, to adjust the sliding mode control law. Meanwhile, adaptive law is adopted to optimize the weights of neural network, so that satellite attitude and load attitude reach the expectation. simulation results reveal that, this method far surpass traditional control method in rapidity, robustness and accuracy. Moreover, it's timeliness values much during practical application.
