HRPGAN: A GAN-based Model to Generate High-resolution Remote Sensing Images

Generative adversarial networks (GAN) has been mainly used in the generation of natural images such as MNIST, CIFAR10 as well as Imagenet datasets and achieves satisfying generation results. However, GAN always fails in generating high quality high-resolution remote sensing images because remote sensing images are large in size and have various ground objects. To address this issue, a novel framework called High-Resolution PatchGAN (HRPGAN) is introduced in this paper. The structure of HRPGAN follows PatchGAN, but the batch normalization layers are removed and the ReLU activation is replaced by the SELU activation. In addition, a new loss function consisting of the adversarial loss, perceptual reconstruction loss and regularization loss is used in HRPGAN. Experiment results show that the proposed HRPGAN model generates the more diverse and lifelike images in HR remote sensing generation than Bicubic method and TGAN model.

Background: Diabetes is one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide, and affects people regardless of country, age group, or sex. Using the most recent evidentiary and analytical framework from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD), we produced location-specific, age-specific, and sex-specific estimates of diabetes prevalence and burden from 1990 to 2021, the proportion of type 1 and type 2 diabetes in 2021, the proportion of the type 2 diabetes burden attributable to selected risk factors, and projections of diabetes prevalence through 2050. Methods: Estimates of diabetes prevalence and burden were computed in 204 countries and territories, across 25 age groups, for males and females separately and combined;these estimates comprised lost years of healthy life, measured in disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs;defined as the sum of years of life lost [YLLs] and years lived with disability [YLDs]). We used the Cause of Death Ensemble model (CODEm) approach to estimate deaths due to diabetes, incorporating 25 666 location-years of data from vital registration and verbal autopsy reports in separate total (including both type 1 and type 2 diabetes) and type-specific models. Other forms of diabetes, including gestational and monogenic diabetes, were not explicitly modelled. Total and type 1 diabetes prevalence was estimated by use of a Bayesian meta-regression modelling tool, DisMod-MR 2.1, to analyse 1527 location-years of data from the scientific literature, survey microdata, and insurance claims;type 2 diabetes estimates were computed by subtracting type 1 diabetes from total estimates. Mortality and prevalence estimates, along with standard life expectancy and disability weights, were used to calculate YLLs, YLDs, and DALYs. Ozone and secondary organic aerosol formation potential from anthropogenic volatile organic compounds emissions in China

Volatile organic compounds （VOCs） are major precursors for ozone and secondary organic aerosol （SOA）, both of which greatly harm human health and significantly affect the Earth＇s climate. We simultaneously estimated ozone and SOA formation from anthropogenic VOCs emissions in China by employing photochemical ozone creation potential （POCP） values and SOA yields. We gave special attention to large molecular species and adopted the SOA yield curves from latest smog chamber experiments. The estimation shows that alkylbenzenes are greatest contributors to both ozone and SOA formation （36.0% and 51.6%, respectively）, while toluene and xylenes are largest contributing individual VOCs. Industry solvent use, industry process and domestic combustion are three sectors with the largest contributions to both ozone （24.7%, 23.0% and 17.8%, respectively） and SOA （22.9%, 34.6% and 19.6%, respectively） formation. In terms of the formation potential per unit VOCs emission, ozone is sensitive to open biomass burning, transportation, and domestic solvent use, and SOA is sensitive to industry process, domestic solvent use, and domestic combustion. Biomass stoves, paint application in industrial protection and buildings, adhesives application are key individual sources to ozone and SOA formation, whether measured by total contribution or contribution per unit VOCs emission. The results imply that current VOCs control policies should be extended to cover most important industrial sources, and the control measures for biomass stoves should be tightened. Finally, discrepant VOCs control policies should be implemented in different regions based on their ozone/aerosol concentration levels and dominant emission sources for ozone and SOA formation potential.

An intrinsic approach to formation control of regular polyhedra for reduced attitudes

This paper addresses formation control of reduced attitudes in which a continuous control protocol is proposed for achieving and stabilizing all regular polyhedra (also known as Platonic solids) under a unified framework. The protocol contains only relative reduced attitude measurements and does not depend on any particular parametrization as is usually used in the literature. A key feature of the control proposed is that it is intrinsic in the sense that it does not need to incorporate any information of the desired formation. Instead, the achieved formation pattern is totally attributed to the geometric properties of the space and the designed inter-agent connection topology. Using a novel coordinates transformation, asymptotic stability of the desired formations is proven by studying stability of a constrained nonlinear system. A great amount of existing knowledge is required during the development of aero-craft system. At present, the existing knowledge organization model construct different knowledge model for different stages is difficult to adapt to the complicated product life cycle application. This study proposes a product development oriented knowledge network model focusing on expressing the knowledge demands and connecting the computer-aided system. Under the overall knowledge network model, this study describes the ontology description method of spacecraft product model, development tasks and aerospace terminology. SwordDTA： A Dynamic Taint Analysis Tool for Software Vulnerability Detection

Software vulnerabilities are the root cause of various information security incidents while dynamic taint analysis is an emerging program analysis technique. In this paper, to maximize the use of the technique to detect software vulnerabilities, we present SwordDTA, a tool that can perform dynamic taint analysis for binaries. This tool is flexible and extensible that it can work with commodity software and hardware. It can be used to detect software vulnerabilities with vulnerability modeling and taint check. We evaluate it with a number of commonly used real-world applications. The experimental results show that SwordDTA is capable of detecting at least four kinds of softavare vulnerabilities including buffer overflow, integer overflow, division by zero and use-after-free, and is applicable for a wide range of software.
