Companies that are ready to compete must have effective management. To improve employee performance in effective management, it is necessary to support competent and competent employees in their fields. Employees who have an attitude of struggle, dedication, discipline, and professional ability are very likely to have work performance in carrying out their duties so that they are more efficient and effective. To increase employee morale, the Company will reward the best employees and be loyal to the company. This is done as an appreciation for what the employee has done for the company in achieving the company's targets. Decision making to determine the best employees can be done by the company by assessing the performance that has been done by its employees within a certain period of time. Employee performance appraisal is influenced by several criteria, namely attitude, attendance, performance and Service Period. The decision support system for selecting the best employees uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, where the decision-making process is carried out by assessing alternative choices based on predetermined criteria and can also help the Company to make the best employee decisions. The alternative matrix calculation yields a score of 25.1% for Safrizal, 25.8% for Dedek Rizky, 25.1% for Amira Syakira and 24.0% for Reni Kumala, and the employee who is recommended as the best employee is the employee with the highest score, namely Dedek Rizky with a score of 25.8%. © 2021 IEEE.

There are a large number of people in the world who live without an adequate supply of clean water, and spend hours to get clean water. For this reason, access to water and water sources is one of the main keys to meeting the needs of the community's clean water, specifically rural communities in the semi-arid regions of Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the extent to which access to clean water sources affects the patterns of water use and fulfillment of rural communities. The method used is a survey completed with a questionnaire and observation. The object of the research was the rural water user community in TTS Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province with a total of 87 families, and water sources in the study area. Samples were divided into three areas which were categorized as dry, normal and wet. based on the analysis of rainfall data at 14 rain stations. The results showed an average water use level of 49 Lpcd (SD = 25) and the distance to the water source as far as 521 m (SD = 1100). There is a negative correlation between the distance of the water source and the amount of clean water used. Water availability factors affect water usage more than long distances but can be reached. This study also found that the use of clean water by the community is adaptive to the availability of water according to environmental conditions. This study recommends the importance of handling clean water issues according to the characteristics of each different region. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A future networking design called "software-defined networking"combines network programmability with centralized administration (SDN). Network administration is currently handled by SDN, which, at the regulator, which acts as the cable network processor and divides the data plane into a control plane and a data aircraft. Recent breakthroughs in artificial intelligence (Al) have shown a stronger inclination for the science community to benefit from their ability to give learning capabilities and enhance Indicator. The author of this research provides a comprehensive analysis of initiatives underway to incorporate Al with SDN. The study concluded that the three primary Al thread where scientific research was centered were computer science, conceptual, and fuzzy reasoning systems. The authors of this paper explore the several fields in which these approaches may be used, their potential future applications, and the innovations made possible by the integration of AI-based methods into the SDN paradigm. By choosing the right SDN controller, any large organization may lower network complexity, implementation expenses, and maintenance costs. The focus of this article is software defined networking's benefits and downsides (SDN). Following is a basic explanation of artificial intelligence and a list of some of its most significant applications in SDN. © 2023 IEEE.

Many different industries are currently making substantial use of the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT is the process through which electronic devices communicate with their surrounding virtual environment by continuously exchanging data via sensors. Due to increased IoT security concerns, digital forensic investigators now possess greater knowledge and abilities to investigate IoT devices. IoT-DigFor are required in terms of cybercrime due to the rapid growth in the number of electronic devices and the collection and consumption of enormous amounts of data. IoT systems with billions of devices have produced a significant amount of evidence, which presents a significant challenge to digital investigators and practitioners who must connect with IoT devices to conduct fast and thorough investigations into cybercrimes. This article presents detailed information about forensics in the IoT environment. The IoT forensic paradigm and the challenges that design-based security requirements and IoT system security offer for IoT-DigFor are covered in great detail at the beginning of the article. © 2023 IEEE.

Fish image classification presents an intriguing challenge in the field of computer vision. This research aims to develop an accurate classification model to differentiate between four different fish species using a convolutional neural network. The dataset used consists of $\mathbf{3 0 1 0}$ fish images, divided into training, validation, and testing sets. The convolutional neural network model was trained both with and without data augmentation. Evaluation results show that the model trained with data augmentation achieved an accuracy of $95 \%$ with a loss value of 0.0983, slightly better than the model without augmentation which achieved an accuracy of $94.56 \%$ with a loss value of $\mathbf{0. 1 7 9 4}$. This indicates that data augmentation techniques are effective in improving model performance, likely because augmentation helps the model generalize better to variations in fish image data. The results of this research demonstrate the significant potential of convolutional neural network for fish image classification tasks. The developed model can serve as a foundation for the development of computer vision-based applications such as automatic fish species identification in fisheries or educational applications. Further research can be conducted by exploring different convolutional neural network architectures, more advanced data augmentation techniques, and larger datasets to improve model performance.

The swift progression of industrial technology underscores the need for adept professionals capable of skillfully implementing and managing intricate systems. Vocational education assumes a pivotal role in cultivating competent intermediaries proficient in translating theoretical knowledge into practical applications. At the core of industrial automation lies the programmable Logic Controller (PLC), a specialized digital computer that interfaces with sensors, switches, and actuators to execute real-time control programs, thus facilitating meticulous industrial processes. This study concentrates on the practical deployment of a two-floor elevator system utilizing the OMRON CP1E N30 PLC. Elevators, integral to contemporary structures, mandate precision for secure vertical conveyance. Leveraging input signals from elevator buttons, sensors, and switches, the PLC orchestrates efficient motor control and dependable door operations. This hands-on application underscores the PLC’s significance within real-time control contexts. Nonetheless, Vocational Higher Education graduates frequently grapple with the challenge of transitioning to industry settings due to limited practical exposure. This partnership harmonizes with the center’s objective of enriching vocational education by integrating sophisticated technologies like PLCs, equipping the workforce with the acumen to bridge the gap between theoretical foundations and the pragmatic demands of industry.

Border and Inland areas are often faced with communication problems due to limited infrastructure and extreme geographical conditions. This research has produced three APRS-based communication system devices in border and inland areas that can be used to report emergency positions, namely Tracker, Digipeater, and Internet Gateway (IGate). Two APRS testing scenarios were conducted, namely sending beacons from Tracker and Ground Station, and sending beacons from Tracker, Digipeater, and Ground Station. The first scenario test results recorded a maximum distance of 2.36 kilometers (straight line) for sending and receiving information. Meanwhile, the second scenario test results can send and receive information with a maximum distance of 4.21 kilometers (straight line). This result confirms that the range of sending information signals using the digipeater device can expand the range of receiving information up to two times. Based on these results, the second scenario between Tracker, Digipeater, and Ground Station is more effectively used to increase communication coverage in border and inland areas.

Stress is a psychological response that must be handled properly, or it can affect psychology and trigger other complicated diseases. Nowadays, stress measured by filling out stress-related forms or interviews with a psychologist. This method still requires a willingness from the patient to consult their condition, which is often not giving the best result due to late treatment. Therefore, we need a system to monitor a person’s stress level conditions independently so they could be threatened quickly if their state gets worsen. One of the non-invasive methods that can be used to measure stress is an Electrodermal Activity (EDA) sensor. EDA is known to be associated with sweat gland activity regulated by SudoMotor Nerve Activity (SMNA), which response to a stressor. However, the SMNA need to decompose into the Skin Conductance Response (SCR) before it could represent stress condition. Hence, the decomposition stage is essential in measuring the quality of the stress condition. In this study, the EDA sensor placed in the palm to obtain the skin conductivity signal. Then, the skin conductivity signals were deconvolved using the Continuous Deconvolution Analysis (CDA) method to capture the SCR. CDA was chosen because it could produce a zero-based line SCR driver and could separate two overlapping peaks in SCR. The result, CDA is adequate to extract SCR, which is shown by the zero baseline of the SCR driver line with a clear peak. The clear SCR peaks are essential for identifying the responses related to the stimulus (stressor). © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This study designed an effective system for monitoring stress levels based on Electrodermal Activity (EDA) sensors by knowing the signal patterns and characteristics using convex optimization decomposition. The EDA sensor considered accurate and sensitive for identifying stress by analyzing the skin conductivity (SC) due to the changes in sympathetic nerve activity. However, the SC signal consists of phasic and tonic components, which needed to decompose to analyze stress levels. The SC signals also followed by the white Gaussian noise, which represents the error value. Hence, deconvolution is a crucial stage for the further process because the quality of the measurement depends on this result. This study aims to deconvolve the SC signal using the convex optimization method (cvxEDA). This model is physiology inspired by EDA based on Bayesian statistics, convex mathematical optimization, and sparsity. This research conducted with 18 subjects through three sessions of measurement. The given stimuli arise in each session to increase the level of stress. The results showed that this method could separate and identify SC. The Phasic component shows an increase in the stimulus of each session, as seen from the number of peaks. In contrast, there were no significant differences in the tonic component. This study shows that the phasic component is closely related to changes in sudomotor nerve activity (SMNA) and response to a stressor, which could be useful to classify stress levels in the future study. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Development of contactless human vital signs monitoring device with remote-photoplethysmography using adaptive region-of-interest and hybrid processing methods

Vital sign assessment is an examination that indicates changes in health. Direct contact during vital signs assessment can increase the risk of disease transmission. This research aimed to develop a contactless vital sign monitoring prototype that includes heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation using a digital camera based on remote photoplethysmography with an adaptive region of interest. The adaptive region-of-interest method uses face detection and skin segmentation to generate red-green-blue signals, taking only the skin pixels of the patients while also minimising the effect of motion artefacts. The hybrid processing method combines several vital sign extraction methods to filter external irrelevant factors and produce heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and blood oxygen saturation values. In addition, the prototype was tested on 50 participants using standard vital sign assessment tools for comparison. The technical specification test of the prototype concluded that the optimal distance of this prototype was up to 2 m with a processing time of 2 s for every 1-s video. The vital signs results were presented using Bland-Altman, which showed that although the Bland-Altman plots revealed a substantial variance in the limits of agreement (±15–20 mmHg for blood pressure, ±15–17 bpm for heart rate, ±4–6 bpm for respiratory rate, and ±1–3 % for blood oxygen saturation), the mean differences for all vital signs were small (±0.7–5 mmHg for blood pressure, ±0.4–0.6 bpm for heart rate, ±0.5–0.7 bpm for respiratory rate, ±0.4–0.6 for blood oxygen saturation) and most data points were within the limits. While further clinical studies are needed to assess its reliability in monitoring specific medical conditions, the prototype has shown an acceptable agreement in assessing vital signs compared to the conventional methods, making it feasible for further development into a medical device. © 2024
