Natural disaster nowadays often occur in Indonesia due to climate change, especially those related to atmospheric dynamics anomalies. The statutory event of atmospheric turbulence statistically is quite significant in its improvement. This is an important issue to conduct research both in the analysis of atmospheric dynamics and early detection solutions for these events. The Windshear phenomenon is an atmospheric turbulence disaster that occurs below an altitude of 3000 feet, often known as low level windshear (LLWS), which is very dangerous for planes taking take-off or landing. Its effect on the aircraft will result in increased airflow on the wings, so this increased airflow will result in a sudden increase in aircraft speed. If the pilot is not aware of the indication of the windshear, he will instinctively throttle back to reduce/compensate for the aircraft's speed. However, once the plane passes through the wind shear zone, the wind suddenly turns into a downdraft. The design of windshear early detection devices have been developed to complement research on the dynamics of the atmosphere. The results obtained are anomalous changes in temperature and atmospheric pressure at this time, and the windshear sensor can detect it well. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a semiconductor material with many applications, such as surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), photocatalysts, water treatment, and photoelectrochemicals. Controlling the properties of anatase TiO2 is typically challenging during TiO2 synthesis. Generally, achieving this control necessitates intricate conditions and processes. The solvothermal method is expected to be easier to control the formation of TiO2 with well-defined morphology and good crystallinity, hence, the band gap can be tuned well. However, there has been a lack of research on the effect of solvents in the solvothermal method of TiO2 synthesis on the optical band gap. Herewith, we report an easy-controlled solvothermal method by varying the type and composition of the solvent to modify the band gap of anatase TiO2. Interestingly, ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) analysis reveals an anatase TiO2 optical band gap between 1.66 to 3.60 eV, indicating that TiO2 obtained can be operated in the UV to visible light region. The solvents utilized for the titanium (IV) isopropoxide (TTIP) precursor in TiO2 synthesis are isopropanol (IPA), methanol (META), and ethanol (ETA). X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy show anatase TiO2 single crystalline phases synthesized by IPA and ETA solvents and the combination of polycrystalline and amorphous morphology TiO2 synthesized by META solvent. Anatase single crystalline phases are achieved for the solvent mixture with a composition ratio of IPA:ETA solvents of 1:2, 1:1, and 2:1. Our result shows that the optical band gap of single crystalline phase TiO2 can be engineered in a wide range via solvothermal method for green and sustainable material. © 2024, The Authors. We suggest a simple, practical device with a wireless sensor network system that can be used to record and display data from a spring oscillation system in real-time on a website. The HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor was utilized to detect changes in load position in the damped spring oscillation system, and the Node-MCU ESP266 was used to transmit data from sensor readings to the server over the internet network. The damping factor, damping coefficient, and spring damping frequency could be utilized to calculate the exponential function graph fitting outcome. © 2021 IOP Publishing Ltd.

The increasing prevalence of deep hoaxes, such as fake news and phishing schemes, poses a significant threat to cybersecurity, undermining trust and spreading misinformation. In Indonesia, surveys indicate that more than 60% of people exposed to hoax news believe that it is true, emphasizing the urgent need for robust detection methods. Traditional cybersecurity approaches often struggle to keep pace with the growing scale and sophistication of these attacks. To address this challenge, this research investigates the use of deep learning techniques, specifically focusing on text-based hoax detection in the Indonesian language. The study fine-tunes IndoBERT, a pretrained deep learning model optimized for Indonesian text, to enhance the accuracy and scalability of hoax detection. The IndoBERT model was trained on a balanced dataset of 29,552 articles, comprising both hoax and real news content, collected from the Mafindo API and Kaggle's Indonesia News Dataset. The model was fine-tuned using supervised learning and evaluated using several key metrics, including accuracy, F1-score, precision, and recall. The results demonstrate that IndoBERT outperforms existing state-of-the-art approaches, achieving an accuracy of 98.51%, an F1-score of 98.44%, and a precision of 98.23% on the test set. These results highlight the effectiveness of IndoBERT for hoax detection, which offers a scalable solution to improve cybersecurity defenses against deceptive content. This research contributes to the integration of advanced deep learning models into cybersecurity systems, addressing the evolving landscape of cyber threats.

Red seaweed species Eucheuma cottonii was thought to have potential as an anesthetic agent because it is shown to contain compounds with bioactivity as antimicrobial,antifungal,and also *** have been no studies regarding the active ingredients of *** objective of the study was to examine the potential of *** extract as a candidate for fish anesthetic based on toxicity,phytochemistry,and active compounds contained in the *** stages of research include extraction,toxicity test extracts(BSLT),phytochemical test,quantitative test compound phytochemical results,and the identification of active compounds with *** results showed that *** extract contains a total of phenols of 4.60±0.06 mg/GAE g which is one presentation of the active ingredient in the *** extract had bioactivity with LC_(50) of 221.71±5.74μg/*** extract contained flavonoids compounds and saponins with a consecutive number of 24.48%and 0.22%.The results of identifying active compounds were found in several compounds that had activity asantidepressants or *** extract can be used as a candidate for a fish anesthetic agent.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a type of dementia that leads to memory loss and impairment, which afects patients’ lives badly. It is not curable yet, but its progression can be slowed down if detected at earlier stages. In this research study, we propose a transfer learning-based convolutional neural network (CNN) model to classify magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) into one of four stages of Alzheimer's disease. One of the major limitations of the deep learning-based classification model is the non-availability of healthcare datasets related to AD. The widely used Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) dataset has a major class imbalance issue. We propose a generative adversarial network (GAN) based data augmentation technique to overcome the data imbalance. This promotes the investigation of applying GANs to generate synthetic samples for minority classes in Alzheimer's disease datasets to enhance classification performance. The results show the progression in the overall classification process of AD.

Biocompatibility evaluation of electrospun Poly-L lactic Acid-chitosan immobilized with heparin as scaffold for vascular tissue repair

Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide, disability, high morbidity, and mortality. One of the leading causes of infarct stroke is carotid stenosis. The postoperative narrowing of the carotid artery diameter is a common complication after primary arterial closure in carotid endarterectomy surgery. A biomaterial design that combines synthetic and natural polymers is a promising strategy for patching arterial closure. In this paper, the electrospinning process was employed and Poly-L Lactic Acid (PLLA) was used as a base material. Chitosan and heparin were added to increase the biocompatibility of the biomaterial. The electrospun PLLA-chitosan immobilized with heparin (C sample) had better characteristics than the pure electrospun PLLA. The fiber diameter decreased to a micrometer scale and the pore size fell and became narrower, resulting in a smoother surface. Fiber diameter results for each sample were 1312.66 nm, 486.29 nm and 387.87 nm. Thereby potentially reducing the activation of blood coagulation and inflammation. The ultimate tensile strength test result for each sample were 2.28 MPa, 3.61 MPa and 3.25 MPa, for elongation results were 12.05%, 17.39%, and 18.14%, aligned with those of the human carotid artery and indicating potential use in patch angioplasty applications. This scaffold nanofiber was declared non-haemolytic for the C sample was 1.13% and non-cytotoxic. Percent viability for each sample was 89.35%, 83.81% and 78.92%. The in vivo host tissue response was shown to decrease pro-inflammatory cytokine expressions. This research shows that the proposed PLLA-chitosan-heparin biomaterial has strong physical properties and can modify the inflammatory response. However, it requires additional biofunctional alterations to optimize its tissue engineering capabilities. © 2023 Vietnam National University, Hanoi

Nutmeg oil has an important function as natural tropical biomedicine activity which commonly found in Batang region. This essential oil is one of the dominant traditional export product from Batang instead of patchouli oil, Clove oil, and lemongrass oil. The objective of the research was to analyze chemical compound of essential oil of nutmeg leaves from Batang region produced by traditional destillation. Research methods was conducted by GCMS method. The biomedical activity against some tropical diseases was analysed in-silico. The results showed that essential oil from nutmeg leaves showed potential antimicroabial activities in silico againts several tropical diseases in skin. The GCMS result showed 2-.BETA.-PINENE and .gamma.-Terpinene as the major compound with values 34,46% and 30,28%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Trackable Agent-based Evolution Models at Wafer Scale

Continuing improvements in computing hardware are poised to transform capabilities for in silico modeling of cross-scale phenomena underlying major open questions in evolutionary biology and artificial life, such as transitions in individuality, eco-evolutionary dynamics, and rare evolutionary events. Emerging ML/AI-oriented hardware accelerators, like the 850,000 processor Cerebras Wafer Scale Engine (WSE), hold particular promise. However, many practical challenges remain in conducting informative evolution experiments that efficiently utilize these platforms’ large processor counts. Here, we focus on the problem of extracting phylogenetic information from agent-based evolution on the WSE platform. This goal drove significant refinements to decentralized in silico phylogenetic tracking, reported here. These improvements yield order-of-magnitude performance improvements. We also present an asynchronous island-based genetic algorithm (GA) framework for WSE hardware. Emulated and on-hardware GA benchmarks with a simple tracking-enabled agent model clock upwards of 1 million generations a minute for population sizes reaching 16 million agents. This pace enables quadrillions of agent replication events a day. We validate phylogenetic reconstructions from these trials and demonstrate their suitability for inference of underlying evolutionary conditions. In particular, we demonstrate extraction, from wafer-scale simulation, of clear phylometric signals that differentiate runs with adaptive dynamics enabled versus disabled. Together, these benchmark and validation trials reflect strong potential for highly scalable agent-based evolution simulation that is both efficient and observable. Developed capabilities will bring entirely new classes of previously intractable research questions within reach, benefiting further explorations within the evolutionary biology and artificial life communities across a variety of emerging high-performance computing platforms.
