We introduce and experimentally demonstrate the utility of tag-based genetic regulation, a new genetic programming (GP) technique that allows programs to dynamically adjust which code modules to express. Tags are evolvable labels that provide a flexible mechanism for referencing code modules. Tag-based genetic regulation extends existing tag-based naming schemes to allow programs to "promote" and "repress" code modules in order to alter expression patterns. This extension allows evolution to structure a program as a gene regulatory network where modules are regulated based on instruction executions. We demonstrate the functionality of tag-based regulation on a range of program synthesis problems. We find that tag-based regulation improves problem-solving performance on context-dependent problems;that is, problems where programs must adjust how they respond to current inputs based on prior inputs. Indeed, the system could not evolve solutions to some context-dependent problems until regulation was added. Our implementation of tag-based genetic regulation is not universally beneficial, however. We identify scenarios where the correct response to a particular input never changes, rendering tag-based regulation an unneeded functionality that can sometimes impede adaptive evolution. Tag-based genetic regulation broadens our repertoire of techniques for evolving more dynamic genetic programs and can easily be incorporated into existing tag-enabled GP systems. © 2020, CC BY.

The aim of this research is to determine the removal efficiency of Cd (II) based on the pH variation and the optimum pH on the batch method, the adsorbent height variation and flow rate in continuous flow column which using tofu solid waste industry which was immobilized silica as adsorbent, also to characterize and to identify functional groups of the absorbent using the FTIR analysis. The pH variation used was 2,3,4,5, and 6. Adsorbent height variation used was 2 cm and 4 cm. Then, variation of flow rate used was 5 ml/min and 10 ml/min. Determination of pH optimum was done using One-Way Anova analysis and continued with Duncan test and descriptive analysis based on the table and graphic. The analysis data of the removal efficiency of Cd (II) in continuous flow column was explained by the descriptive analysis. The pHPCZ was 8.4. The pH optimum was 6 with the removal efficiency 48.14%. The removal efficiency of Cd (II) in continuous flow column for the adsorbent height variation 2 cm and 4 cm which were 38,22% and 43,42% respectively. The removal efficiency of Cd (II) in continuous flow column for the flow rate 5ml/min and 10ml/min each by 38.22% and 39.01%. The result of FTIR analysis of the adsorbent conducted before the adsorption shown that there were functional groups of C=O (vibrate at 1651.07 cm-1), Si-O-Si (462.92 cm-1 and 1095.6 cm-1), O-H (3425.58 cm-1), and N-H (3749.62 cm-1). While, the result of the FTIR analysis after the adsorption shown that there were Si-O-Cd (956.72 cm-1) and Cd-N (412.78 cm-1). © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd.

There are some types of scheduling problems in the production line of manufacturing. One of the most multiple usages of the operational machine for doing some jobs is job shop scheduling. The implementation of the job shop problem in this study uses the input of random order of eight job numbers. The raw materials for the job numbers to do the process and the five type machines are considered. The machines work in different functions to do the jobs for some materials. The materials have processed the work in process (WIP) before they are sent to the warehouse. The proposed of this study is to find the optimal condition of job shop scheduling heuristic and deterministic rules to minimize the makespan, tardiness with the heuristic and some deterministic rules in the Lekin software. The heuristic methods are General SBRoutine and the DASH (shifting bottleneck). The deterministic use Critical Ratio (CR) Rule, First come First Serve Rule (FCFS), Longest Processing Time (LPT), Shortest Processing Time (SPT), Weighted Shortest Processing Time (WSPT) and Machine Sequence (MS). The result shows that the minimum makespan is FCFS method with 47 minutes, the tardiness is 27, and for the machine no3. It produces the effective percentage of The contras deviation performance among the jobs of DASH, and compare to the FCFS is as follow, DASH, LPT, MS, SPT, WSPT are increasing 4.26%;31,91%;8.51%;4.26% and 12.77% respectively. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Identification of magnetite nanoparticles synthesized from natural iron sand with a chemical treatment that is by using thecoprecipitation method on temperature and heated spaces, using a pair of acids and bases, i.e. HCL as a solvent NH4OH and as its precipation. The Crystal structure, the percentage of elements, the particle size and properties of the magnetism material characterization by XRD, XRF identification testing, and permagraph. From the results obtained in the Analysis that the value of the percentage purity of Fe3O4 are derived from Natural Sands before Extraction is of 81.42%, and once on extract 86.73% increase to its purity. From the results of the analysis of properties of ferrite magnet to Fe3O4from sand iron retrieved the value of Saturation Magnetization (Ms) produced amounted to 0.29 T, or residual magnetization Remanence (Br) of 0081 T, and Coercivityy(Hc) amounted to 1.82 kA/m expected data analysis results may explain the comparison characteristics in structure and magnetic properties of material with a natural sand Fe3O4 Aldrich so it can be an additional related information value added (added value) the local SDA. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The Southern Coast of West Java Province in the Java Islands is one of prone and exposed area to tsunami hazard. It has about 428 kilometers coastline length, covering 5 administrational regencies (i.e. Sukabumi, Cianjur, Garut, Tasikmalaya, and Pangandaran). It is a strategic area that support many economic activities including tourism, fisheries, electricity power plants, agricultures, markets as well as social factors such as coastal villages, schools and other public facilities. The existence of this strategic area is threatened by the potential for a tsunami disaster mainly from megathrust along the Southern Coast of Java Island. On 2006, a tsunami earthquake of M7.7 occurred off Pangandaran Regency with tsunami height of 5-8 meters and inundated about 500 meters along southern coast of West and Central Java Province. The tsunami caused more than 600 casualties and damage to buildings, public facilities and insfrastructure. Yet, the Indonesia National Earthquake Source and Hazard Map suggest a bigger threat of a plausible M8.7 - M9.2 megathrust earthquake off Java island. This research aims to analyze and map potential areas affected by the tsunami in the South Coast of West Java Province based on numerical modelling carried out with Cornell Multi-grid Coupled Tsunami Model (COMCOT) v1.7 based on the several megathrust earthquake scenarios in southern off West Java. The results of tsunami modelling show that the highest impact is generated in the Sunda Straits & West Java - Central Java Megathrust Scenarios with highest tsunami inundation and the fastest travel time occurred in Cianjur Regency with 26,7 meters height and estimated arrival time of tsunami wave approximately 10 minutes after the mainshock, while the farthest inundation distance is estimated in Sukabumi Regency about 5.8 kilometers from the coast due to existence of river. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Bitcoin has become a commodity traded by millions of traders from all over the world. This is one of the causes of fluctuating price movements. From the data we got on coinmarketcap, Bitcoin is traded on various cryptocurrency trading exchanges. And at every exchange that has a reputation, of course, has an API service to access historical data about the price movements of all the crypto commodities they have traded from the start. By using the PHP programming language and implementation of the CURL function for JSON readings, we can pull Bitcoin movement data in real time. In this paper, Bitcoin is specifically observed because it is the forerunner and the main cryptocurrency commodity traded and is a determinant of Alternative coin price movements in general. In this paper Bitcoin price monitoring is carried out at 30 reputable exchange places through API access provided by each exchange place. Furthermore, conclusions are drawn about the various variants of how to access the API from the 30 bitcoin exchange places. The program code that is displayed directly in this paper can then be used as an initial reference if you want to develop a Cryptocurrency price movement monitoring application for Bitcoin. At the end of the paper, an example of the application of Bitcoin price monitoring will be presented using a web-based application containing charts and supporting indicators as well as a telegram bot to display price depth charts.

Magnetic mineral concentration and microcrystalline characteristics of Fe-rich coastal sand from North Sulawesi

Magnetic mineral concentration, especially from the iron oxide class, is one of the important indicators in determining the potential iron sand natural resources. In this study, the magnetic measurement as well as X-ray spectroscopy analysis have been carried out in order to determine the concentration and microcrystalline characteristics of iron sand originating from four locations in the coastal area of North Sulawesi which are Lolan, Lalow, Hais, and Minanga. Magnetic properties study through measurement of saturation isothermal remanent magnetization (SIRM) confirmed by oxide composition obtained from X-ray fluorescence (XRF) observation showed that the iron sand sample from Lolan had the highest concentration of iron oxide minerals followed by samples from Hais, Lalow, and Minanga respectively. The percentage of iron oxide at these sites varied between 60.33 – 76.70 wt.%, implying that it was relatively competitive compared to the samples from other localities in Indonesia. Findings related to variations in crystal size and degree of crystallinity are closely related to the source and mechanism of iron sand formation at each study site.

Sumatra Fault as product from tectonic events in Sumatra is the boundary between west and east blocks. Sumatra Fault reactivation could be generated several hazards, especially in Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park (BBSNP). Morphology of Sumatra Fault dominated by hill pattern variations from hill shade form, which should be delineated. The hazard potential has been identified by fault fracture density method combine with geological map and earthquake map. This research used ASTER GDEM and Regional Geology Map as basic data. Lineament interpretation is carried out on drainage map, DEM, and structural geology map. Earthquake data refer by earthquake history occurred near Sumatra Fault and subduction zone in western of Sumatra Island. The earthquake from Sumatra Fault potentially triggers landslide and liquefaction around BBSNP area. There is three regions as having geological hazard potential by Sumatra Fault movement, namely earthquake, landslide and liquefaction. Landslide will be collapsed relatively to the south and affected the main road of BBSNP. Furthermore, in eastern part of Sumatra Fault has liquefaction potential in Semaka and Suoh districts.

We present high angular resolution measurements of the thermal Sunyaev–Zel’dovich effect (SZE) toward two galaxy clusters, RCS J2319+0038 at z = 0.9 and HSC J0947−0119 at z = 1.1, by the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) in Band 3. They are supplemented with available Chandra X-ray data, optical data taken by Hyper Suprime-Cam on Subaru, and millimeter-wave SZE data from the Atacama Cosmology Telescope. Taking into account departures from spherical symmetry, we have reconstructed non-parametrically the inner pressure profile of two clusters as well as electron temperature and density profiles for RCS J2319+0038. This is one of the first such measurements for an individual cluster at z 0.9. We find that the inner pressure profile of both clusters is much shallower than that of local cool-core clusters. Our results consistently suggest that RCS J2319+0038 hosts a weak cool core, where radiative cooling is less significant than in local cool cores. On the other hand, HSC J0947−0119 exhibits an even shallower pressure profile than RCS J2319+0038 and is more likely to be a non-cool-core cluster. The SZE centroid position is offset by more than 140 h−170 kpc from the peaks of galaxy distribution in HSC J0947−0119, suggesting a stronger influence of mergers in this cluster. We conclude that these distant clusters are at a very early stage of developing the cool cores typically found in clusters at lower redshifts. © The Author(s) 2023. A study of Eye Lens Radiation Dose Reduction During Head CT Scan Examination

BackgroundHead CT is the most frequently performed examination in every hospital in Indonesia. Considering of the large radiation dose of head CT produces and eye which is one of the most sensitive organs, radioprotection is should be done for every patient of head CT. The aim of this study is to determine the radiation dose of eye lens during head CT compared to the dose limit value determined by ICRP No. 87 of 2000 and provides recommendations for examination protocols that prioritize radiation protection in order to reducing eye lens radiation dose. MethodsRadiation dose measurement of eye lens were performed on 10 patient samples using two different scanograms for every 5 patients. The first five patients had a scanogram parallel to the Orbitomeatal line (OML) and the other 5 patients had a scanogram parallel to the Supraorbitomeatal line (SOML). Radiation dose measurement is done by placing the Thermoluminescent Dosimeter 100-chip on one of the patient's eyelid surfaces. The results of the radiation dose measurements are presented and compared with the standard dose CT scan according to ICRP No. 87 2000. ResultsThe research showed that the procedure using scanogram parallel to OML get eye lens radiation dose 53.889 mGy, 50.729 mGy, 60.407 mGy, 70.952 mGy, 70.952 mGy and the other procedure which is using scanogram parallel to SOML get eye lens radiation dose 7.265 mGy, 6.944 mGy, 8.747 mGy, 6.411 mGy, 6.944 mGy. ConclusionThe procedure using scanogram parallel to the OML produces a higher dose of eye lens and it exceeds the standard head CT eye lens dose according to ICRP No. 87 of 2000. While the another procedure using scanogram parallel to SOML produces a lower radiation dose. Head CT is advised to use a scanogram parallel to SOML to reduce the eye lens radiation dose.
