The networks of wireless sensors provide the ground for a range of applications,including environmental moni-toring and industrial *** the networks can overcome obstacles like power and communication reliability and sensor coverage is the crux of network *** infrastructure planning should be focused on increasing performance,and it should be affected by the detailed data about node *** work recommends the creation of each sensor’s specs and radius of influence based on a particular geographical location,which will contribute to better network planning and *** using the ARIMA model for time series forecasting and the Al-Biruni Earth Radius algorithm for optimization,our approach bridges the gap between successive terrains while seeking the equilibrium between exploration and *** implementing adaptive protocols according to varying environments and sensor constraints,our study aspires to improve overall network *** compare the Al-Biruni Earth Radius algorithm along with Gray Wolf Optimization,Particle Swarm Optimization,Genetic Algorithms,and Whale Optimization about performance on real-world *** the most efficient in the optimization process,Biruni displays the lowest error rate at *** two other statistical techniques,like ANOVA,are also useful in discovering the factors influencing the nature of sensor data and network-specific *** to the multi-faceted support the comprehensive approach promotes,there is a chance to understand the dynamics that affect the optimization outcomes better so decisions about network design can be *** delivering better performance and reliability for various in-situ applications,this research leads to a fusion of time series forecasters and a customized optimizer algorithm.

Many BDS is doomed to failure because of the missing knowledge on measuring the performance of BDS. The failure to identify the performance measurement and correct will make the problems worsen. This will complicate the efforts of fixing such problems and more importantly, will affect the quality of knowledge, insights, and results expected by the users in the future. In achieving durable performance, the organization needsto understand the factors that contribute to the performance of the eco-sustainability and green analytics metrics for BDS. Although the existence of its importance and awareness was largely neglected. Therefore, the eco-sustainability and green analytic measurement of the BDS is examined in this research. Measuring the BDS performance has the benefit of identifying problems and launching corrective actions before these problems happen and become worsen. The research will investigate the eco-sustainability and green analytic measures which will be proposed and used to capture performance for each process of BDS. Then, based on such measures and metrics, as well as existing performance concepts, frameworks, and models, a measurement model for BDS will be created. The model will be validated through expert evaluations and confirmatory studies with users and practitioners of BDS users. The research has a greater significance in leveraging existing performance concepts in BDS settings and the research proposes users' participation in the sustainability and continuous performance evaluation of theirBDS. © 2023 IEEE.

Applications of internet-of-things(IoT)are increasingly being used in many facets of our daily life,which results in an enormous volume of *** computing and fog computing,two of the most common technologies used in IoT applications,have led to major security *** are on the rise as a result of the usage of these technologies since present security measures are *** artificial intelligence(AI)based security solutions,such as intrusion detection systems(IDS),have been proposed in recent *** technologies that require data preprocessing and machine learning algorithm-performance augmentation require the use of feature selection(FS)techniques to increase classification accuracy by minimizing the number of features *** the other hand,metaheuristic optimization algorithms have been widely used in feature selection in recent *** this paper,we proposed a hybrid optimization algorithm for feature selection in *** proposed algorithm is based on grey wolf(GW),and dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithms and is referred to as *** proposed algorithm has a better balance between the exploration and exploitation steps of the optimization process and thus could achieve better *** the employed IoT-IDS dataset,the performance of the proposed GWDTO algorithm was assessed using a set of evaluation metrics and compared to other optimization approaches in 2678 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 the literature to validate its *** addition,a statistical analysis is performed to assess the stability and effectiveness of the proposed *** results confirmed the superiority of the proposed approach in boosting the classification accuracy of the intrusion in IoT-based networks.

WSNs are applied in many disciplines where certain conditions require the ability to adapt to network sink mobility and changes in the dynamics of the area coverage. To meet these needs, it is necessary to develop integrated systems where the ''terrestrial' systems and the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)' collect data from sensors efficiently. Planning of UAV trajectories is another challenging issue if many WSN nodes are randomly deployed. This challenge has a big impact on the overall effectiveness of the system. This paper presents a novel approach for reducing the traveled distance of unscrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) to improve the data collection efficiency in WSNs with poor node density. Yet the method that has been developed is aimed at increasing 'the efficiency and efficacy of data collection... with the assistance of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)' which means this work reveals practical application solutions. © 2024 IEEE.

CONTEXT: Web applications are exposed to malicious accesses through the Internet. SQL injection (SQLi) attacks are still a typical threat to web application providers. Although recent studies proposed deep learning-based SQLi attack detection models with high performance, those studies were not evaluated under the same conditions. Crucial aspects other than the predictive performance were also overlooked. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate SQLi attack detection models from multi-aspects related to its operation. METHOD: Three aspects, namely, predictive performance, detection speed, and operation costs, were applied to deep learning-based SQLi attack detection models. RESULTS: No DL-based model beaten a conventional machine learning-based model, Random Forests. CONCLUSION: Researchers must evaluate DL-based SQLi attack detection models with conventional ones with hyper-parameter tuning. © 2024 IEEE.

Images for social media are an essential component of any blog or social media post. As we now live in the age of the ‘camera in everyone’s pocket’, a new dynamic era of image creation and content has emerged. However, people use media due to specific motives or gratifications that lead to their satisfaction of social media use. This research study utilized uses and gratification theory (UGT), a sociology theory related to the motives of people using the media. The UGT factors include enjoyment, entertainment, social influence, social interaction, and information sharing. There were 441 data that were collected and analysed. IBM SPSS Statistics 20 and Smart PLS 3.3.3 were used for the data analysis. Result showed that information sharing was the most influencing factors on users’ satisfaction to use image in social media. Therefore, the factors identified in these studies could be used as a guideline and references in future study related to social media awareness and implications. © 2022. This article examines the development of a Digital Learning Ecosystem (DLE) for engineering education, supported by online learning, within the framework of Erasmus+ international educational projects. We hypothesize that a DLE can address the challenges posed by rapid technological changes associated with Industry 4.0 and digital transformation, thus transforming engineering education to meet modern industry needs. Building on the earlier Erasmus+ CybPhys project, which established a Sharing Modelling and Simulation Environment (SMSE) for digitalizing online technical courses, the DIGITRANS project aims to enhance this architecture to include remote laboratories through the Sharing Remote Experiment Environment (SREE) platform. The project involves acquiring hardware and open-source software for SREE and establishing two physical remote laboratories. A study conducted in spring 2023, using the technology Acceptance Model framework, indicated positive student perceptions of SMSE, with students believing it would enhance learning outcomes and expressing intentions to use the platform frequently. The efficacy of the DLE in addressing technological advancement challenges will be further evaluated through post-ante assessments and feedback from prospective employers and stakeholders, focusing on the implementation of industry recommendations and the correlation between pre- and post-implementation survey responses from industry and academic experts. © 2024 IEEE.

This study investigates the effectiveness of Retrieval-based Voice Conversion (RVC) in detecting AI-generated Arabic speech across diverse linguistic contexts. The primary research questions address whether the RVC model can accurately differentiate between real and synthetic speech samples in various languages and its generalization capability across different linguistic contexts. Experimental evaluations show that the model achieves accuracies of 92% using Ensemble Learning (XGBoost and LightGBM), 93% with Meta Learning, and 90% with Neural Networks. Assessments encompass scenarios with real Arabic and English speech not included in training datasets, as well as different speakers across languages. The study contributes insights into the robustness and practical application of RVC for speech authentication. © 2024 IEEE.
