The aim of this study was to create an Internet of Things (IoT) system that can monitor and control temperature and humidity in oyster mushroom production from a distant location. This system was developed with the goal of improving efficiency and the quality of the mushroom yield. The implementation of the system involved the utilization of a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller, which was combined with DS18B20 and DHT22 sensors. The system was then managed by a Telegram bot, enabling continuous operation throughout the day. The findings revealed substantial enhancements in efficiency, as the duration for monitoring and watering decreased from 471.6 seconds to 5 seconds. Additionally, there was a noteworthy reduction in the proportion of suboptimal mushrooms, declining from 12% to 1.72%. The findings indicate that the system offers a dependable and efficient alternative for maintaining ideal environmental conditions, resulting in improved crop quality and decreased labour requirements. The deployment of this technology signifies a significant progression in precision agriculture, providing tangible advantages for small-scale mushroom cultivators and establishing the foundation for future improvements in automated agricultural systems.

The present work researches driver drowsiness, which constitutes a huge problem, and can turn into fatal incidents potentially involving the losing of lives, being it while driving in a highway (car, bus, truck, etc.), in the railway, or any other transportation mean (ship, airplane, etc.). Recent technology has been involved in the study of the fatigue behaviour. The purpose of this work is to identify the in-driver’s drowsiness, contributing to get rid of the accidents, mainly during the night, and to ensure better safety in train and on the highways. A camera is used to capture images from the driver, and face detection is executed in real-time to find out the exact position of driver’s face. Here, the blinking of the driver’s eye is under consideration. The fundamental concept lies in the closing of the driver’s eye for a specific duration of time. If the closing time exceeds that certain duration, drowsiness is detected and an alarm is sounded for awareness. Python and OpenCV (using Haarcascade library) are the fundamental programming platforms for sensing the facial attributes. In this work, a cost-effective system for the driver’s drowsiness detection is aimed. Further, the result also indicates the reduction of response and processing time, which is ideal for real time detection. © 2023, ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering.

In the fuzzy multicriteria decision-making approach, a committee of decision-makers is usually involved in the assessment of the suitability of different alternatives based on the evaluation criteria by using linguistic terms and their equivalent fuzzy numbers. In this context, researchers have developed the Pythagorean fuzzy set (PFS) to overcome the limitation of intuitionistic fuzzy set in the description of decision-maker information such as imposing restrictions on the representation of membership and nonmembership grades. On the one hand, PFS still does not have sufficient ability and flexibility to deal with such issues. On the other hand, multipolar technology is used to operate large-scale systems in real-life situations, especially in dealing with dissatisfaction and indeterminacy grades for the alternatives of the reference set. Thus, m-polar fuzzy set is utilized and applied with other fuzzy sets because of its remarkable ability as a tool for depicting fuzziness and uncertainty under multipolar information in many circumstances. With the practical features of m-polar fuzzy set in combination with PFS, this paper employs it to extend two considerable MCDM methods, namely, fuzzy decision by opinion score method and fuzzy-weighted zero inconsistency. Such extensions, called Pythagorean m-polar fuzzy-weighted zero-inconsistency (Pm-PFWZIC) method and Pythagorean m-polar fuzzy decision by opinion score method (Pm-PFDOSM), are formulated to weight the evaluation criteria followed by alternative ranking progressively. The research methodology is presented as follows. Firstly, the mechanisms of Pm-PFWZIC and Pm-PFDOSM are formulated and integrated into the development phase. Secondly, the description of the real-world case study of the evaluation and benchmarking of the sign language recognition systems is adapted and presented. Satellite high aerial platform terrestrial integrated networks have become the hot topic these years, which have been regarded as the major part of the intelligence of things for future networks. During this work, we investigate the secrecy performance for rate-splitting multiple access-assisted satellite high aerial platform terrestrial integrated networks. Besides, imperfect hardware and channel estimation errors are considered in the secrecy networks. Moreover, to enhance the energy utilization efficiency, rate-splitting multiple access scheme is utilized into the considered network, which is prior to that of the non-orthogonal multiple access scheme. What's more, to enhance the satellite transmission, multiple high aerial platforms are used to forward the transmission along with multiple eavesdroppers. In addition, the direct transmission link is not considered in the secrecy networks due to the heavy fading and obstacles. Relied on the former considerations, the exact and asymptotic analysis for the secrecy performance is further obtained to confirm the rightness of the analysis. DC Microgrids are rapidly developing, driven by the increasing integration of renewable sources and dynamic loads. Their growing adoption in critical applications raises the need for operational safety and reliability, particularly under fault conditions. This paper presents a sensor fault-tolerant control (FTC) for DC-DC power converters in DC Microgrids designed to maintain resilient and reliable operation. The proposed FTC leverages a single Switching Unknown Input Observer (SW-UIO) at the bottom control level to estimate arbitrary sensor faults with a high accuracy (0.3% fault estimation error), allowing a real-time identification and precise control reconfiguration to accommodate sensor faults with minimal computational burden. The approach is validated under diverse conditions, including time-varying loads, complete sensor failure, noise abnormality, and simultaneous faults/failure, achieving a consistent fault accommodation of 1μs from fault occurrence to compensation. Real-time simulation has been performed in the OPAL-RT environment to assess the efficacy and superiority of the proposed sensor fault tolerant strategy in comparison to reference FTC strategies. © 2013 IEEE.

Breast cancer is a disease that is prevalent all over the world, and that is essential for the efficient treatment and care of breast cancer patients who are monitored remotely. However, traditional conventional centralized systems for patient monitoring face challenges in providing effective and efficient care for breast cancer patients, including limited access to medical records, ineffective communication, and patient participation. Fragmentation of records and difficulty in obtaining information can hinder patient care in terms of both privacy and data security. The proposed system uses machine learning, blockchain, smart contracts, hybrid access control, and hybrid intrusion prevention and detection to diagnose breast cancer decentralized. The technology analyses medical data using advanced machine learning algorithms to diagnose breast cancer accurately and provide healthcare practitioners with relevant insights. The blockchain stores patient information, diagnostic results, and metadata transparently and securely to protect data integrity and privacy. Smart contracts automate and enforce rules, securing data and improving diagnostic workflow. User roles and attributes are used to manage access to sensitive data and improve collaboration. Patients, doctors, and researchers have different permits and limits. Secures granular data and prevents unauthorized access. Scalability and network congestion are addressed via a hybrid network management system. The system optimizes resource allocation, load balancing, and data transfer by integrating centralized and decentralized methodologies. These features reduce delays and assure seamless operation. Experimental results reveal that the suggested system detects breast cancer more accurately than centralized methods. The software engineering field has long focused on creating high-quality software despite limited *** defects before the testing stage of software development can enable quality assurance engineers to con-centrate on problematic modules rather than all the *** approach can enhance the quality of the final product while lowering development *** defective modules early on can allow for early corrections and ensure the timely delivery of a high-quality product that satisfies customers and instills greater confidence in the development *** process is known as software defect prediction,and it can improve end-product quality while reducing the cost of testing and *** study proposes a software defect prediction system that utilizes data fusion,feature selection,and ensemble machine learning fusion techniques.A novel filter-based metric selection technique is proposed in the framework to select the optimum features.A three-step nested approach is presented for predicting defective modules to achieve high *** the first step,three supervised machine learning techniques,including Decision Tree,Support Vector Machines,and Naïve Bayes,are used to detect faulty *** second step involves integrating the predictive accuracy of these classification techniques through three ensemble machine-learning methods:Bagging,Voting,and ***,in the third step,a fuzzy logic technique is employed to integrate the predictive accuracy of the ensemble machine learning *** experiments are performed on a fused software defect dataset to ensure that the developed fused ensemble model can perform effectively on diverse *** NASA datasets are integrated to create the fused dataset:MW1,PC1,PC3,PC4,and *** to the results,the proposed system exhibited superior performance to other advanced techniques for predicting software defects,achieving a remarkable accuracy rate of 92.08%.
