For the problem that traditional approaches for IP geolocation based on delay measurement are difficult to apply to network with weak connectivity such as China's Internet, in this paper, we utilize its hierarchical topology and proposed an approach of City-level geolocation based on routing feature. Taking IPs with known geographical location as reference nodes, this approach extracts identifying IPs of candidate regions or cities based on decision tree learning algorithm. We match the path of the target with IPs above called identifying features, and then select the region or city whose identifying feature is contained on the target's path as geolocation result. This approach improves the average accuracy for the Internet with weak connectivity hierarchical topology to 93% vs. 73% for the previous learning-based geolocation approach.

Wireless capsule endoscopy(WCE) has been gradually applied in hospitals due to its great advantage. This paper addresses the problem of automatic detection of tumor for WCE images. Firstly, the Level Set Method is utilized to searching suspected tumors in WCE images. Fractional Fourier Transform(FRFT) is applied on the region of the suspected tumors. Then suspected tumor textures of frequency domain are analyzed with the Normalized Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix(NGLCM) model. After the texture character is abstracted, we use it to determine whether a tumor appears in the image or not. The proposed method does not rely on any learning-based classifier, and it can save plenty of time in train samples. Extensive experiments validate that the proposed method achieves coverage of 95.6% and accuracy of 85.0% and is a promising tumor detection.

Number of vehicles on road is very important traffic data and is essential for transportation safety and management. In this paper, an approach for vehicle detection is presented. In this approach, virtual line based sensors which are just straight detection lines are first set on road lanes. Then two features, namely gradient and range feature, are proposed for vehicle detection. This is carried out by extracting and analyzing the two features on detection lines. Meanwhile, the solution for vehicle occlusion have also been proposed. Our proposed method has an outstanding advantage that it performs excellent in traffic jams as well as under various conditions, such as sunny, cloudy, and rainy days, or night time, or even tunnels with complex illumination. The high accuracy rate of our method is verified with the experiment results.

On-chip faster-than-at-speed delay testing provides a promising way for small delay defect detection. However, the frequency of on-chip generated test clock would be impacted by process variations. Hence, it requires determining the actual frequency of generated test clock to ensure the effectiveness of faster-than-at-speed delay testing. In this paper, we present a novel test clock generation scheme, namely Enhanced LCCG, for faster-than-at-speed delay testing. In the proposed scheme, faster-than-at-speed test clock is firstly generated by configuring the corresponding control information specified in the test pattern into Enhanced LCCG. Then, by constructing oscillation paths and counting the corresponding oscillation iteration numbers, the actual frequency of test clock can be measured and calculated with high resolution. Experimental results are presented to validate the proposed method.

Bat algorithm (BA) is a novel intelligent optimization algorithm. In order to improve the poor local search capability of the algorithm, we present a new variant of bat optimization algorithm based on local centroid strategy (LCBA). Meanwhile, LEACH is a low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy algorithm for wireless sensor networks (WSN). And it has many disadvantages such as random selection of cluster head, taking no account of the remaining energy and position of nodes. To solve these problems, this paper proposes an improved LEACH protocol based on local centroid bat algorithm. The improved protocol divides the cluster head selection process into optimization of temporary cluster head and formal cluster head selection. First, we generate temporary cluster heads by traditional LEACH protocol, then optimize these cluster heads based on LCBA and select formal cluster heads according to the remaining energy of nodes. The result of experiment shows that, comparing with LEACH, LEACH-LCBA can balance the network load efficiently, improve the energy utilization, prolong the network lifetime.

Control of grid-connected inverter (GCI) directly affects the performance of inverter-interfaced distributed generators. In this paper, a circuit-based modeling method is proposed to combine the control algorithm in software and the topology configuration in hardware of a GCI. On the basis of the same mathematical model, control blocks are equivalently changed into circuit models. By using the proposed circuit model, the mathematical principles and physical natures of proportional-integral (PI) and proportional-resonant (PR) controllers for GCI applications are examined in depth. It concludes that the PI controller cannot track sinusoidal reference without error, because of the equivalent capacitor and ac leakage current in the circuit model obtained for the GCI. In contrast, due to the extra equivalent inductor and resonance circuit in series compared with PI, the equivalent capacitor in PI is opened. And as a result, the PR control can provide accurate current-following performance. Selected experimental results are also presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed control modeling method.

Artificial plant optimization algorithm is a novel stochastic population-based evolutionary algorithm by simulating the plant growing process. In this paper, a new variant, which is called APOA-DC is proposed by incorporating with dynamic population size and cluster methods, furthermore, to investigate the performance, APOA-DC is applied to optimize the DV-Hop localization algorithm, simulation results show it achieves better performance than the DV-Hop algorithm.
