In this paper, we propose a novel HW/SW partitioning with SIMD instructions for the real-time AVS video decoder. As the SIMD instructions instead of hardware are used to optimize video decoding, our approach achieves an optimal balance between performance and programmability. We implement the proposed HW/SW partitioning on a 32-bit RISC processor with 256-bit vector extension, and evaluate the performance using some standard high-quality streams of AVS. Results show that the video decoding system can support the real-time decoding of AVS HD video streams. © 2012 IEEE.

Traffic flow information has the space-time correlation property. So we need to analyze similarity not only on time, but also on space. The previous similarity studies are less concern the space of the traffic flow information. In this paper we consider distance factor when calculating similarity and finally represent a standard formula to calculate the similarity. The experiment results illuminate that this method can well reflect the similarity of traffic flow between urban crossings, and similarity is inversely proportional to distance.

Test power consumption is becoming a major concern in low power integrated circuits (ICs). This paper presents a revised low power compression architecture for scan test. In this paper, the variance in power consumption is used to select test pattern during scan test, and a low power feedback MUX is added to the scan chains. Simulation results by mathematical methods show that the proposed test architecture is promising in reduction of power consumption.

As the number of cores in chip multiprocessors (CMPs) increases, network-on-chip (NoC) has become a major role in ensuring performance and power scalability. In this paper, we propose multiple-combinational-channel (MCC), a load balancing and deadlock free interconnect network for cache-coherent non-uniform memory accessing (CC-NUMA). In order to make load more balancing and reduce power dissipation, we combine low usage channels and make high usage channels independent and wide enough, since messages transmitted over NoC have different widths and injection rates. Furthermore, based on the in-depth analysis of network traffic, we summarize four traffic patterns and establish several rules to avoid protocol-level deadlock. We implement MCC on a 16-core CMPs, and evaluate the power and performance using universal workloads. The experimental results show that MCC reduces nearly 21% power than multiple-physical-channel with similar throughput. Moreover, MCC improves 10% performance with similar area and power, compared to packet-switching architecture with virtual channels.

This paper proved a new adaptive threshold in spherical coordinate system based on Besov space norm theory for application of the internet of things (IOT). It presented a new adaptive curve shrinkage function to overcome the limitation of translational functions. The new function could reach and exceed the true value and enhance the image edge. According to the image statistical characteristics in the spherical coordinates, to process the radial component with the new thresholds and new shrinkage function. The simulation experiments evaluated the new algorithm from the peak signal noise ratio, mean square error and running time.

In e-service environment, service contract is important for assurance of business interoperability and quality of services. Combining service contract and process model will facilitate analyzing service process and monitoring service execution. This paper proposes a service modeling approach consists of service contract and process model. service contracts are used as service advertisement and service request in this approach. The operational semantics of service contract and process model are translated into Constraint Handling Rules(CHR) program by a compiler. Based on this approach, a concept named service contracting is defined as a phase between service discovery and execution, which checks the consistency of service advertisement and process model as well as the the applicability of services w.r.t. the consumer's capabilities. Further, constraint solver centered implementation is designed, the modeling and contracting of web services under this architecture is illustrated. © 2012 IEEE.

This work presents an iterative liveness-enforcing method for a class of generalized Petri nets, which can model flexible manufacturing systems. The proposed method checks the liveness of net models using mixed integer programming and controls the token allocations of resource places instead of siphons using a liveness and resource usage ratio-enforcing supervisor. The enumeration of a kind of special structures, which is required in the previous work, is avoided and the number of iterations is bounded by the number of shared resource places in the net model. All strict minimal siphons in the controlled systems are minimally controlled. Several explanatory examples are used to illustrate this method. © 2012 IEEE.

WAP protocol can make wireless terminals communicate with cable communication network easily. There is now growing demand for mobile payment, but the existing mobile payment contains hidden troubles. This paper presents a safe mobile payment protocol architecture based on WAP. It was presented by analyzing and optimizing the existing profession models. It uses elliptic curve cryptosystem and improved profession process. The final analysis demonstrates the safety and efficiency of the protocol structure. © 2011 by Binary Information Press.

An improved ant colony algorithm is proposed to solve the actual application of single vehicle route optimization in the paper. The improve method take into account the influence of traffic jam for route optimization. The traffic clear level is introduced into ant colony algorithm to improve the state transition probability, and the global and local pheromone updating mechanism are introduced to increase the convergence speed. The improved ant colony algorithm is applied to the actual banking cash transportation vehicle routing optimization. Experiment results show that, comparing to the traditional ant colony algorithm, the improved algorithm avoid the blindness of the route searching process, accelerating the rate of convergence of algorithm, and reducing the operation cost of the cash transportation 24% averagely. © 2011 by Binary Information Press.
