This work presents an iterative liveness-enforcing method for a class of generalized Petri nets, which can model flexible manufacturing systems. The proposed method checks the liveness of net models using mixed integer programming and controls the token allocations of resource places instead of siphons using a liveness and resource usage ratio-enforcing supervisor. The enumeration of a kind of special structures, which is required in the previous work, is avoided and the number of iterations is bounded by the number of shared resource places in the net model. All strict minimal siphons in the controlled systems are minimally controlled. Several explanatory examples are used to illustrate this method. © 2012 IEEE.

WAP protocol can make wireless terminals communicate with cable communication network easily. There is now growing demand for mobile payment, but the existing mobile payment contains hidden troubles. This paper presents a safe mobile payment protocol architecture based on WAP. It was presented by analyzing and optimizing the existing profession models. It uses elliptic curve cryptosystem and improved profession process. The final analysis demonstrates the safety and efficiency of the protocol structure. © 2011 by Binary Information Press.

An improved ant colony algorithm for single vehicle route optimization

An improved ant colony algorithm is proposed to solve the actual application of single vehicle route optimization in the paper. The improve method take into account the influence of traffic jam for route optimization. The traffic clear level is introduced into ant colony algorithm to improve the state transition probability, and the global and local pheromone updating mechanism are introduced to increase the convergence speed. The improved ant colony algorithm is applied to the actual banking cash transportation vehicle routing optimization. Experiment results show that, comparing to the traditional ant colony algorithm, the improved algorithm avoid the blindness of the route searching process, accelerating the rate of convergence of algorithm, and reducing the operation cost of the cash transportation 24% averagely. © 2011 by Binary Information Press.

Research on hole filling method in curved surface of N-sided region

In this paper, proposed a new method for repairing curved surface of N-sided region with NURBS surface. First, abstracted the information of hole by the relations of vertex, edge and triangle in triangular mesh model. Second, constructed a small quadrilateral region which can enclose the N-sided region, then fitted a NU RBS-spline surface based on the boundary data of small quadrilateral. After that, triangular mesh generator algorithm was applied to visualize the NURBS surface. Experimental results show that the proposed method is stable, reliable. © 2011 by Binary Information Press.

A node localization scheme based on virtual beacons in wireless sensor network

Unlike node localization algorithms of current fixed beacons, a node localization scheme virtual beacon selected-nonlinear least squares (VBS-NLS) based on virtual beacons is adopted. The node achieves self-positioning by solving the least cost function consisted by many pairs of energy ratios, which is based on hyper spherical cross mechanism. Then an optimization method named nonlinear least squares is proposed to approximate node position. © 2011 by Binary Information Press.

A search ranking algorithm based on user preferences

To investigate search ranking method for providing good service to users, the original PageRank algorithm model was studied to describe the hyperlink relationship based on Web pages. It was computed with a single vector using the hyperlink structure to improve the ranking of search query results. However, more and more topics are being discussed on the Web and the vocabulary of users remains relatively stable, the search engine usually returns the same results to users who enter the same keyword, which might not be related to each user's preference. A new method named UPPM based on user preferences was proposed. It was supposed to optimize initial query with user's query logs that including his click history and feedback, and the search results were reordered for particular user's need with updated query. The experiment shows that the new method can understand user's search subject behind his query and improve ordering of top results in the real Web search. © 2012 Binary Information Press.

Fault diagnosis method of chemical process based on the boundary theory

Fault diagnosis is the precondition of security and efficiency in the chemical process. In order to achieve a better performance for complex fault diagnosis of chemical process, an idea of boundary theory was proposed. Based on the boundary theory, the new method consists of two parts: the data filtering method and the vertex vector method. A large number of redundant data in the initial dataset can be reduced effectively by using the data filtering method to realize data filtering;using the vertex vector method to diagnosis fault will be more accurate. The results of simulation experiments based on the Tennessee Eastman process indicate that algorithm can complete the fault diagnosis of chemical process accurately and efficiently. © 2012 Binary Information Press.

Image segmentation combining mean shift with minimum spanning tree

Mean shift is a popular clustering algorithm that has been shown to produce good image segmentation. However, the high computational complexity of the mean shift procedure limits its practical applications. In this paper we propose an efficient algorithm combined mean shift with the minimum spanning tree (MST). The larger spatial bandwidth cause the slower convergence of the mean shift algorithm. Our proposed algorithm first applies mean shift to an image at the faster speed with a smaller spatial bandwidth, then models the segmental image as a weighted region adjacency graph and use minimum spanning tree algorithm to merge the over segmentation of the image. The proposed algorithm significantly reduces the computation cost while obtaining almost the same segmentation results as the standard mean shift procedure. Experimental results show that the speedup of our algorithm can be up to 10 relative to the standard mean shift algorithm. © 2012 Binary Information Press.

A new matching algorithm used in Chang'e-1 three-line-array CCD corresponding image point matching is presented and implemented in this paper. The algorithm combines tree-stratified structure based on wavelet transform with an enhanced genetic algorithm. The algorithm reduces the searching space and calculated amount to improve matching speed. The paper applies the algorithm to Chang'e-1 three-linearray CCD corresponding image point matching. Experiments show that the algorithm has faster speed and higher matching probability compared with other exits. © 2012 Binary Information Press.
