In community-based software development, developers frequently rely on live-chatting to discuss emergent bugs/errors they encounter in daily development tasks. However, it remains a challenging task to accurately record such knowledge due to the noisy nature of interleaved dialogs in live chat data. In this paper, we first formulate the task of identifying and synthesizing bug reports from commu-nity live chats, and propose a novel approach, named BugListener, to address the challenges. Specifically, BugListener automates three sub-tasks: 1) Disentangle the dialogs from massive chat logs by using a Feed-Forward neural network; 2) Identify the bug-report dialogs from separated dialogs by leveraging the Graph neural net-work to learn the contextual information; 3) Synthesize the bug reports by utilizing Transfer Learning techniques to classify the sentences into: observed behaviors (OB), expected behaviors (EB), and steps to reproduce the bug (SR). BugListener is evaluated on six open source projects. The results show that: for bug report identification, BugListener achieves the average Fl of 77.74%, im-proving the best baseline by 12.96%; and for bug report synthesis task, BugListener could classify the OB, EB, and SR sentences with the F1 of 84.62%, 71.46%, and 73.13%, improving the best baselines by 9.32%,12.21%,10.91%, respectively. A human evaluation study also confirms the effectiveness of Bug Listener in generating relevant and accurate bug reports. These demonstrate the significant potential of applying BugListener in community-based software development, for promoting bug discovery and quality improvement.

Drone small cells (DSCs) are served as aerial base stations to complement the terrestrial cellular networks, in order to provide seamless wireless coverage and increased network capacity. In this paper, we study a drone-assisted downlink heterogeneous network (HetNet) consisting of a first tier of DSCs overlaid with a second tier of terrestrial small cells (TSCs), both of which operate on the same frequency band. By considering a flexible biased association policy, we develop an analytical framework to evaluate the network performance. After deriving the association probabilities, and the probability distribution functions (PDFs) of typical link length, we derive exact expressions for the per-tier and overall coverage probabilities. The proposed framework allows to quantify the impact on network performance of most important system parameters, such as the height of DSCs, the bias factor, and the base station density. In absence of interference management, our results show that very limited gains can be obtained in the dense network scenario and the improper deployment of DSCs can only degrade the coverage probability achieved by the single-tier TSC network. What's more, the unbiased cell association is shown to be optimal for the overall coverage probability in the interference-limited network regime.

Heterogeneous multi-core processors have strong potential for performance improvement, energy efficiency and area efficiency, compared to the homogeneous multi-core processors. The present methods of execution migration for heterogeneous multi-core processor suffer in efficiency, cost, compatibility, or programmability. In this paper, we propose a HW/SW code sign migration method based on binary-instrumentation. Our method takes full advantage of the shared-ISA. It enhances the performance of heterogeneous chip multiprocessor with low HW/SW cost. And it's not required to modify source codes or compile system. The experiment results show that the efficiency of our method is 3.29 times of kernel simulation. © 2013 IEEE.

Crosstalk effects and soft errors on interconnects have been increasingly serious, which affects normal communication among cores. Therefore, it is desirable to design a reliable bus system without causing unacceptable performance reduction. In this paper, a new bus encoding method based on codeword selection is presented for enduring crosstalk-induced effects, which can avoid crosstalk and provide error correction as well. This method finds a subset from crosstalk avoidance code (CAC) to provide error correction. It can avoid crosstalk induced by late signal transition on checking bits in the previous methods. Extra wires for checking bus are never required in the proposed method. Experiment shows that the method reduces 6% wire overhead compared to the former methods. And it can also improve bus performance and reduce power dissipation.

We developed and validated a deep learning system (termed DeepDR Plus) in a diverse, multiethnic, multi-country dataset to predict personalized risk and time to progression of diabetic retinopathy. We show that DeepDR Plus can be integrated into the clinical workflow to promote individualized intervention strategies for the management of diabetic retinopathy.

Improving the admission control process in wireless metropolitan area networks (WMAN) based on the IEEE 802.16e standard can improve the QoS. Because IEEE 802.16e supports five classes of service as well as mobility, an admission control policy for non-preprovisioned service flow is proposed. This policy is compatible with the QoS parameters for each service class defined in the standard. As improvements, the guard channel scheme is used to give handover connections higher priority and a novel proportional bandwidth-borrowing scheme is added to prioritize the different service classes. The simulation results show the proposed admission control policy maximizes the bandwidth utilization and the use of the two schemes provides a reasonable priority order of new originated connections and handover connections of different service classes. The connection-blocking and connection-dropping probabilities were reduced to the extent that they can be ignored

We investigated the polaron-assisted nonadiabatic dynamics in protonated TiO_(2),as well as the polaron-H_(2)O coupling and its effects on the relaxation of photogenerated *** observed that different polaron hopping regimes result in varied nonadiabatic couplings and relaxations of excited electrons from the conduction band minimum to the gap states of protonated TiO_(2),with a weak dependence on the actual trapping site of the ***-adsorbed H_(2)O molecules can attract polarons toward the adsorbed Ti sites,with the coupling between H_(2)O and the polaron being inversely proportional to their *** findings suggest that the lifetime of the photogenerated charge carriers can be extended by reducing the polaron-H_(2)O distances,with expected benefits to the efficiency of the reduced TiO 2 samples for photocatalytic applications.

Generalized Face Forgery Detection via Adaptive Learning for Pre-trained Vision Transformer

With the rapid progress of generative models, the current challenge in face forgery detection is how to effectively detect realistic manipulated faces from different unseen domains. Though previous studies show that pre-trained Vision Transformer (ViT) based models can achieve some promising results after fully fine-tuning on the Deepfake dataset, their generalization performances are still unsatisfactory. One possible reason is that fully fine-tuned ViT-based models may disrupt the pre-trained features [1], [2] and overfit to some data-specific patterns [3]. To alleviate this issue, we present a Forgery-aware Adaptive Vision Transformer (FA-ViT) under the adaptive learning paradigm, where the parameters in the pre-trained ViT are kept fixed while the designed adaptive modules are optimized to capture forgery features. Specifically, a global adaptive module is designed to model long-range interactions among input tokens, which takes advantage of self-attention mechanism to mine global forgery clues. To further explore essential local forgery clues, a local adaptive module is proposed to expose local inconsistencies by enhancing the local contextual association. In addition, we introduce a fine-grained adaptive learning module that emphasizes the common compact representation of genuine faces through relationship learning in fine-grained pairs, driving these proposed adaptive modules to be aware of fine-grained forgery-aware information. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our FA-ViT achieves state-of-the-arts results in the cross-dataset evaluation, and enhances the robustness against unseen perturbations. Particularly, FA-ViT achieves 93.83% and 78.32% AUC scores on Celeb-DF and DFDC datasets in the cross-dataset evaluation.
