Indentification of informative gene subsets responsible for discerning between available samples of gene expression data is an important task in bioinformatics. Reducts, from rough sets theory, corresponding to a minimal set of essential genes for discerning samples, is an efficient tool for gene selection. Due to the compuational complexty of the existing reduct algoritms, feature ranking is usually used to narrow down gene space as the first step and top ranked genes are selected . In this paper,we define a novel certierion based on the expression level difference btween classes and contribution to classification of the gene for scoring genes and present a algorithm for generating all possible reduct from informative *** algorithm takes the whole attribute sets into account and find short reduct with a significant reduction in computational complexity. An exploration of this approach on benchmark gene expression data sets demonstrates that this approach is successful for selecting high discriminative genes and the classification accuracy is impressive. © 2010 Springer-Verlag.

This paper puts forward a visual method of detecting pop-cans based on AdaBoost Algorithm. This method, is basing on the idea of AdaBoost Algorithm, and we use Haar Feature and LBP Feature to extract pop-can characteristics respectively. Finally we compare the differences of the training processes and the experiment results between these two detectors. It shows that these pop-can detectors that are trained by this visual method have high detection rate and speed. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Advanced information and communication technolo-gies can be used to facilitate traffic incident *** an incident is detected and blocks a road link,in order to reduce the incident-induced traffic congestion,a dynamic strategy to deliver incident information to selected drivers and help them make detours in urban areas is proposed by this ***-dependent shortest path algorithms are used to generate a subnetwork where vehicles should receive such information.A simulation approach based on an extended cell transmission model is used to describe traffic flow in urban networks where path information and traffic flow at downstream road links are well *** results reveal the influences of some major parameters of an incident-induced congestion dissipation process such as the ratio of route-changing vehicles to the total vehicles,operation time interval of the proposed strategy,traffic density in the traffic network,and the scope of the area where traffic incident information is *** results can be used to improve the state of the art in preventing urban road traffic congestion caused by incidents.

The performance of music source separation (MSS) has been greatly improved in recent years due to the rapid development of various neural network architectures. Spectrogram features are widely used in MSS tasks which consists of both time and frequency information. However, the time and frequency correlations and the local patterns of spectrogram have not been fully explored. In this paper, we propose a novel U-Net architecture named TFSWA-UNet in which a temporal-frequency and shifted window attention (TFSWA) based block is designed as bottleneck block. In the proposed TFSWA block, time sequence attention (TSA) block and frequency sequence attention (FSA) block are used to capture the global correlation of music spectrogram features within time and frequency sequences respectively. To further capture the local correlations of spectrogram features, shifted window attention based Swin transformer is also introduced into the TFSWA module, which computes self-attention within local non-overlapping windows and capture correlations from both temporal and frequency dimensions. Experiment results on MUSDB18 dataset indicate that the proposed TFSWA-UNet model outperforms the state-of-the-art MSS methods with SDR of 9.16dB on vocals. © 2024 IEEE.

The rapid development of the Internet brings a variety of original information including text information, audio information, etc. However, it is difficult to find the most useful knowledge rapidly and accurately because of its huge number. Automatic text classification technology based on machine learning can classify a large number of natural language documents into the corresponding subject categories according to its correct semantics. It is helpful to grasp the text information directly. By learning from a set of hand-labeled documents,we obtain the traditional supervised classifier for text categorization(TC). However, labeling all data by human is labor intensive and time consuming. To solve this problem, some scholars proposed a semi-supervised learning method to train classifier, but it is unfeasible for various kinds and great number of Web data since it still needs a part of hand-labeled data. In 2012, Li et al. invented a fully automatic categorization approach for text(FACT)based on supervised learning, where no manual labeling efforts are required. But automatically labeling all data can bring noise into experiment and cause the fact that the result cannot meet the accuracy requirement. We put forward a new idea that part of data with high accuracy can be automatically tagged based on the semantic of category name, then a semi-supervised way is taken to train classifier with both labeled and unlabeled data,and ultimately a precise classification of massive text data can be achieved. The empirical experiments show that the method outperforms the supervised support vector machine(SVM) in terms of both F1 performance and classification accuracy in most cases. It proves the effectiveness of the semi-supervised algorithm in automatic TC.

Information-centric networking (ICN) technology is becoming a popular research topic in vehicular networks due to the connectionless and lightweight characteristics of this networking paradigm. Caching plays an essential role in information-centric networks, but current caching techniques for ICN are not ideal for the dynamic and wireless vehicular networks. This paper presents a caching approach for ICN-based vehicular networks that takes into account both the dynamicity of vehicular networks and the popularity of the information being distributed. We introduce an interval metric for selective caching. With this metric and estimates of information popularity and vehicle density, cooperative caching can be realized without exchanging cache management information among the vehicular nodes. Simulation results show that the proposed approach can increase the storage space utilization and has low data response time for vehicular networks. © 2017 Association for computing Machinery.

Reducing noise disturbances in the frequency segment of high frequency (HF) ground wave radar and restraining the sidelobes of strong targets that interfere with the detection of weak targets are the interesting Topic. A new method based on an adaptive techniques that solves these problems is proposed. By changing the working time of the frequency spectrum monitor (FSM), we have shown not only that radar can run in the frequency segments with lower noise disturbances, but also that the noise data produced by FSM can be exploited effectively. There is no correlation between the noise and the useful echo signal, though the correlation between noises over very short time periods is strong,. Exploiting the phenomena, we can adjust system parameters in real-time by adaptive methods to solve the two problems,namely sidelobe disturbance of strong targets and noise distrubance in the frequency segment.

In this work,a novel graphene oxide （GO）/SiO2-based nanocontainer loaded benzotriazole （BTA） was synthesized by a one-step *** self-healing epoxy resin coating with high corrosion resistance based on GO-SiO2-benzotriazole （GS-BTA） nanocontainers was *** impedance spectroscopy （EIS） and wire beam electrode impedance scanning （WBE-EIS） measurements were used to evaluate the long-term anticorrosion and self-healing properties of coatings,*** indicate that the long-term corrosion resistance of GS-BTA coating is largely improved compared with the pure epoxy coating from EIS *** the impedance of GS-BTA coating changes little after 48 d of *** impedance value at 0.01 Hz for pure EP coating has a fast decrease with time,and the value is 7.7×10～6Ωcm2on the 48th *** impedance values of GS-BTA/EP coating change little with time,and the value increases by three orders of magnitude on the 48th day compared with the EP *** impedance distributions of WBE suggest that the GS-BTA coating has a good self-healing ability in the artificial scratch *** self-healing ability derives from the release of BTA and its adsorption at anodic corrosion sites.

Co-optimization of Dynamic/Static Test PoWer in Scan Test

Low-power design has become a challenge of test. We propose an effective low-power scan architecture named PowerSluice to minimize power consumption during scan test, which is based on scan chain modifications. On one hand, a kind of blocking logic is inserted into the scan chain to reduce the dynamic power and two kinds of controlling units are also inserted to decrease the leakage power during the shift cycle. On the other hand, using genetic algorithm, the exact values of control signals are found out to control the process. Experiments results indicate that this architecture can effectually reduce power during scan test with probably minimum area cost.

MapReduce is a programming framework introduced by Google for large-scale data processing. It is usually used in a scan-centric fashion where all the data are split into blocks and Maps are generated for each block to scan and process the data in the block, then Reduces merge outputs from all the Maps. When a query intends to process only a subset of the data selected by a predicate, this brute-force method may cause extra I/O overhead spent on irrelevant data, and the overhead for initiating so many Maps may be nontrivial given that the actually interesting data for the query is comparatively small in volume. We propose an approach to integrate the index into the MapReduce execution in which only an appropriate number of Maps are generated, each of which accesses the data using an index. This approach incurs random I/O and remote access to data, so the overall performance depends on both system parameters and the query characteristics. We build a cost model for both this index access execution and the traditional full scan execution. This cost model can be used to choose between the two execution modes before executing a query. Experiments show that the index access execution can greatly outperform full scan execution when the selectivity of the predicate is low, and the cost model predicts the actual execution cost very well so can be used to determine the execution plan for a query. © 2010 IEEE.
