Key distribution strategy of security multicast in grid

In grid, it is an important strategy that using multicast to realize the large-scale information resource sharing. However, it is very difficult to ensure the security of multicast. In this paper, based on the basic principles of the centralized key distributed strategy and the distributed key distribution strategy, according to the multicast mechanism in grid, considering the dynamic factors of multicast members, we present the member hierarchy method for key distribution, the member discovery protocol, the clustering protocol and the key distribution strategy, thus constituting the key distribution strategy of security multicast in grid. In order to validate the feasibility and the availability of this strategy, a simulation experiment is done. The results show that it is feasible and efficient to ensure the security multicast in grid.

gECC: A GPU-based high-throughput framework for Elliptic Curve Cryptography

Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) is an encryption method that provides security comparable to traditional techniques like Rivest–Shamir–Adleman (RSA) but with lower computational complexity and smaller key sizes, making it a competitive option for applications such as blockchain, secure multi-party computation, and database security. However, the throughput of ECC is still hindered by the significant performance overhead associated with elliptic curve (EC) operations, which can affect their efficiency in real-world scenarios. This paper presents gECC, a versatile framework for ECC optimized for GPU architectures, specifically engineered to achieve high-throughput performance in EC operations. To maximize throughput, gECC incorporates batch-based execution of EC operations and microarchitecture-level optimization of modular arithmetic. It employs Montgomery’s trick [40] to enable batch EC computation and incorporates novel computation parallelization and memory management techniques to maximize the computation parallelism and minimize the access overhead of GPU global memory. Furthermore, we analyze the primary bottleneck in modular multiplication by investigating how the user codes of modular multiplication are compiled into hardware instructions and what these instructions’ issuance rates are. We identify that the efficiency of modular multiplication is highly dependent on the number of Integer Multiply-Add (IMAD) instructions. To eliminate this bottleneck, we propose novel techniques to minimize the number of IMAD instructions by leveraging predicate registers to pass the carry information and using addition and subtraction instructions (IADD3) to replace IMAD instructions. Our experimental results show that, for ECDSA and ECDH, the two commonly used ECC algorithms, gECC can achieve performance improvements of 5.56 × and 4.94 ×, respectively, compared to the state-of-the-art GPU-based system. Welcome to the proceedings of GCC2004 and the city of Wuhan. grid computing has become a mainstream research area in computer science and the GCC conference has become one of the premier forums for presentation of new and exciting research in all aspectsofgridandcooperativecomputing. Theprogramcommitteeispleasedtopresent the proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on grid and Cooperative Comp- ing (GCC2004), which comprises a collection of excellent technical papers, posters, workshops, and keynote speeches. The papers accepted cover a wide range of exciting topics, including resource grid and service grid, information grid and knowledge grid, grid monitoring,managementand organizationtools, grid portal, grid service, Web s- vices and their QoS, service orchestration, grid middleware and toolkits, software glue technologies, grid security, innovative grid applications, advanced resource reservation andscheduling,performanceevaluationandmodeling,computer-supportedcooperative work, P2P computing, automatic computing, and meta-information management. The conference continues to grow and this year a record total of 581 manuscripts (including workshop submissions) were submitted for consideration. Expecting this growth, the size of the program committee was increased from 50 members for GCC 2003 for 70 in GCC 2004. Relevant differences from previous editions of the conf- ence: it is worth mentioning a signi?cant increase in the number of papers submitted by authors from outside China; and the acceptance rate was much lower than for p- vious GCC conferences. From the 427 papers submitted to the main conference, the program committee selected only 96 regular papers for oral presentation and 62 short papers for poster presentation in the program.

These proceedings contain the papers presented at the 2005 IFIP International Conference on Network and Parallel computing (NPC 2005), held in Beijing, China, between November 30 and December 3, 2005. The goal of the conference was to establish an international forum for engineers and scientists to present their ideas and experiences in network and parallel computing. A total of 320 submissions were received in response to our Call for Papers. These papers were from the following countries or regions: Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Lux- burg, Nepal, Netherlands, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, and United States. Each submission was sent to at least three *** paper was judged - cording to its originality, innovation, readability, and relevance to the expected ***,atotalof68paperswereretainedfor- clusionin *** the 68 papers,48 wereacceptedasfull papers for presentation at the conference. We also accepted 20 papers as short papers for a possible brief presentation at the conference, followed by discussion during a poster session. Thus, only 21% of the total submissions could be included in the ?nal program.

AMSPM: Adaptive Model Selection and Partition Mechanism for Edge Intelligence-driven 5G Smart City with Dynamic computing Resources

With the help of 5G network, edge intelligence (EI) can not only provide distributed, low-latency, and high-reliable intelligent services, but also enable intelligent maintenance and management of smart city. However, the constantly changing available computing resources of end devices and edge servers cannot continuously guarantee the performance of intelligent inference. In order to guarantee the sustainability of intelligent services in smart city, we propose the Adaptive Model Selection and Partition Mechanism (AMSPM) in 5G smart city where EI provides services, which mainly consists of Adaptive Model Selection (AMS) and Adaptive Model Partition (AMP). In AMSPM, the model selection and partition of deep neural network (DNN) are formulated as an optimization problem. Firstly, we propose a recursive-based algorithm named AMS based on the computing resources of edge devices to derive an appropriate DNN model that satisfies the latency demand of intelligent services. Then, we adaptively partition the selected DNN model according to the computing resources of edge devices. The experimental results demonstrate that, when compared with state-of-the-art model selection and partition mechanisms, AMSPM not only reduces latency but also enhances computing resource utilization.

This proceedings contains the papers presented at the 2004 IFIP International Conference on Network and Parallel computing (NPC 2004), held at Wuhan, China, from October 18 to 20, 2004. The goal of the conference was to establish an international forum for engineers and scientists to present their ideas and experiences in network and parallel computing. A total of 338 submissions were received in response to the call for papers. These papers werefrom Australia, Brazil,Canada,China, Finland, France, G- many, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxemburg, Malaysia, N- way, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, UK, and USA. Each submission was sent to at least three *** paper was judged according to its originality,inno- tion, readability, and relevance to the expected audience. Based on the reviews received, a total of 69 papers were accepted to be included in the proceedings. Among the 69 papers, 46 were accepted as full papers and were presented at the *** accepted23papersasshortpapers;eachofthesepaperswas given an opportunity to have a brief presentation at the conference, followed by discussions in a poster session. Thus, due to the limited scope and time of the conference and the high number of submissions received, only 20% of the total submissions were included in the ?nal program.

Graph pattern mining is essential for deciphering complex networks. In the real world, graphs are dynamic and evolve over time, necessitating updates in mining patterns to reflect these changes. Traditional methods use fine-grained incremental computation to avoid full re-mining after each update, which improves speed but often overlooks potential gains from examining inter-update interactions holistically, thus missing out on overall efficiency *** this paper, we introduce Cheetah, a dynamic graph mining system that processes updates in a coarse-grained manner by leveraging exploration domains. These domains exploit the community structure of real-world graphs to uncover data reuse opportunities typically missed by existing approaches. Exploration domains, which encapsulate extensive portions of the graph relevant to updates, allow multiple updates to explore the same regions efficiently. Cheetah dynamically constructs these domains using a management module that identifies and maintains areas of redundancy as the graph changes. By grouping updates within these domains and employing a neighbor-centric expansion strategy, Cheetah minimizes redundant data accesses. Our evaluation of Cheetah across five real-world datasets shows it outperforms current leading systems by an average factor of 2.63 ×.
