Recently, video object segmentation (VOS) networks typically use memory-based methods: for each query frame, the mask is predicted by space-time matching to memory frames. Despite these methods having superior performance, they suffer from two issues: 1) Challenging data can destroy the space-time coherence between adjacent video frames. 2) Pixel-level matching will lead to undesired mismatching caused by the noises or distractors. To address the aforementioned issues, we first propose to generate an auxiliary frame between adjacent frames, serving as an implicit short-temporal reference for the query one. Next, we learn a prototype for each video object and prototype-level matching can be implemented between the query and memory. The experiment demonstrated that our network outperforms the state-of-the-art method on the DAVIS 2017, achieving a ℐ&ℱ score of 86.4%, and attains a competitive result 85.0% on YouTube VOS 2018. In addition, our network exhibits a high inference speed of 32+ FPS.

Multimodal medical image fusion technology provides more comprehensive and accurate image support for clinical diagnosis and treatment by integrating complementary information from different imaging modalities. Aiming at the problem that existing methods are still insufficient in detail feature extraction and inter-modal information fusion, this paper proposes a multimodal medical image fusion method combined with an adaptive attention mechanism. First, we design the Grouped Receptive Field Attentional Convolution (GRFAConv) to solve the problem of insufficient detail feature extraction capability. With the multi-head receptive field adaptive weighting strategy of grouped convolution, the range and weight of the receptive field of the convolution kernel can be adaptively adjusted according to the different demands of local and global features of the image to improve the effect of detail retention. Second, for the problem of information fusion between different modalities, we introduce an improved CBAM attention module in the feature fusion process, which adaptively selects and enhances the features in the key regions through the channel attention and spatial attention mechanisms, which greatly improves the clarity of the fused image details and the accuracy of the information expression in the key regions. Furthermore, experimental results on several medical image datasets show that the algorithm proposed in this paper can generate relatively high-quality fused images. It not only enriches the detailed features of the image, but also achieves significant advantages in several evaluation metrics.

Deep learning (DL) systems usually utilize asynchronous prefetch to improve data reading performance. However, the efficiency of the data transfer path from hard disk to DRAM is still limited by disk performance. The emerging non-volatile memory (NVRAM) provides a novel solution for this problem, while few existing researches have considered it. We propose a novel efficient data prefetch strategy for DL based on a heterogeneous memory system combining NVRAM with DRAM. Benefitting from the large capacity and fast reading speed of NVRAM, the strategy uses an asynchronous reading method named sliding NVRAM cache (SNC) to improve the performance of the data transfer paths. A sliding window is applied to map the data from disk to NVRAM and continuously update the data, while non-ideal writing performance of NVRAM can be remitted to a large extent in this strategy. Experiments show that SNC can improve the time performance of diverse deep neural networks training by more than 30%. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Video classification is a challenging task because of the intricate spatiotemporal information present within videos. Current models often rely on 2D or 3D convolutional neural networks. However, convolutional neural networks are difficult to solve the long-range dependency problem. In addition, they are computationally expensive and memory-intensive. To address the challenges, a Multi-layer Transformer is proposed for video classification. The proposed method takes advantage of the high correlation between adjacent frames by grouping them and learning local and global information with a multi-layer structure based on Transformer. First, different frame sampling rates and grouping strategies are tested in the experiments, then comparing the method with state-of-The-Art models. The results demonstrate that the proposed method has advanced performance with TOP1 accuracy of 77.8% on the Kinetics-400 dataset and 64.9% on the Something-Something v2 dataset. © 2023 IOS Press. With the continuous extension of the Industrial Internet, cyber incidents caused by software vulnerabilities have been increasing in recent years. However, software vulnerabilities detection is still heavily relying on code review done by experts, and how to automatically detect software vulnerabilities is an open problem so far. In this paper, we propose a novel solution named GraphEye to identify whether a function of C/C++ code has vulnerabilities, which can greatly alleviate the burden of code auditors. GraphEye is originated from the observation that the code property graph of a non-vulnerable function naturally differs from the code property graph of a vulnerable function with the same functionality. Hence, detecting vulnerable functions is attributed to the graph classification problem. GraphEye is comprised of VecCPG and GcGAT. VecCPG is a vectorization for the code property graph, which is proposed to characterize the key syntax and semantic features of the corresponding source code. GcGAT is a deep learning model based on the graph attention networks, which is proposed to solve the graph classification problem according to VecCPG. Finally, GraphEye is verified by the SARD Stack-based Buffer Overflow, Divide-Zero, Null Pointer Deference, Buffer Error, and Resource Error datasets, the corresponding F1 scores are 95.6%, 95.6%, 96.1%, 92.6%, and 96.1% respectively, which validate the effectiveness of the proposed solution. © 2021 IEEE.

Traditional LiDAR SLAM approaches prioritize localization over mapping, yet high-precision dense maps are essential for numerous applications involving intelligent agents. Recent advancements have introduced methods leveraging neural fields to enhance mapping capabilities;however, these approaches still face several limitations. Firstly, concerning scene representation, they typically employ neural fields with high-dimensional features and multi-layer perceptron decoders utilizing non-continuous activation functions. This results in low learning efficiency and challenges in capturing high-frequency signals. Secondly, in terms of scene organization, these methods often treat the entire scene as a singular neural field, leading to inefficiencies, inflexibility, and difficulties in rectifying accumulated errors when mapping large-scale environments over extended periods. To tackle the first issue, we propose a lightweight continuous SDF regression approach by encoding the scene in single-valued embeddings and decoding SDF values from a Kolmogorov-Arnold Network. By minimizing discrepancies in measuring range, sampling distance, and decoded SDF values, we facilitate iterative frame-to-model tracking and bundle adjustment neural mapping. To mitigate the second challenge, we propose structuring the whole scene into multiple neural SDF submaps. By establishing node-node, node-submap, and loop closure constraints into a global pose graph, the system can create dense neural maps with global consistency across large-scale scenes. Experimental evaluations in both real-world and simulated settings indicate that our system achieves superior mapping completeness and accuracy, enhanced learning efficiency, reduced memory consumption, and greater flexibility compared to its counterparts. © 2025 IEEE.

Detecting and segmenting damaged wires remains challenging due to varying lighting conditions and the constraints imposed by limited sample datasets, both of which severely degrade detection and segmentation accuracy. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a novel SECA (Squeeze-and-Excitation Channel Attention) mechanism integrated with YOLOv8n, aimed at enhancing key feature extraction under varying lighting conditions. The incorporation of transfer learning strategies further mitigates the challenges posed by insufficient sample datasets. We built an RGB dataset comprising 3,760 images representing diverse wire damage morphologies and expanded the lighting test sets to span six environments, with illuminance levels ranging from 50 to 200,000 lux, to comprehensively evaluate the model's robustness. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model markedly improves detection and segmentation precision as well as robustness across varying lighting conditions.

Graph is a well known data structure to represent the associated relationships in a variety of applications,e.g.,data science and machine *** a wealth of existing efforts on developing graph processing systems for improving the performance and/or energy efficiency on traditional architectures,dedicated hardware solutions,also referred to as graph processing accelerators,are essential and emerging to provide the benefits significantly beyond what those pure software solutions can *** this paper,we conduct a systematical survey regarding the design and implementation of graph processing ***,we review the relevant techniques in three core components toward a graph processing accelerator:preprocessing,parallel graph computation,and runtime *** also examine the benchmarks and results in existing studies for evaluating a graph processing ***,we find that there is not an absolute winner for all three aspects in graph acceleration due to the diverse characteristics of graph processing and the complexity of hardware *** finally present and discuss several challenges in details,and further explore the opportunities for the future research.

The rapid development of photo-realistic face generation methods has raised significant concerns in society and academia, highlighting the urgent need for robust and generalizable face forgery detection (FFD) techniques. Although existing approaches mainly capture face forgery patterns using image modality, other modalities like fine-grained noises and texts are not fully explored, which limits the generalization capability of the model. In addition, most FFD methods tend to identify facial images generated by GAN, but struggle to detect unseen diffusion-synthesized ones. To address the limitations, we aim to leverage the cutting-edge foundation model, contrastive language-image pre-training (CLIP), to achieve generalizable diffusion face forgery detection (DFFD). In this paper, we propose a novel multi-modal fine-grained CLIP (MFCLIP) model, which mines comprehensive and fine-grained forgery traces across image-noise modalities via language-guided face forgery representation learning, to facilitate the advancement of DFFD. Specifically, we devise a fine-grained language encoder (FLE) that extracts fine global language features from hierarchical text prompts. We design a multi-modal vision encoder (MVE) to capture global image forgery embeddings as well as fine-grained noise forgery patterns extracted from the richest patch, and integrate them to mine general visual forgery traces. Moreover, we build an innovative plug-and-play sample pair attention (SPA) method to emphasize relevant negative pairs and suppress irrelevant ones, allowing cross-modality sample pairs to conduct more flexible alignment. Extensive experiments and visualizations show that our model outperforms the state of the arts on different settings like cross-generator, cross-forgery, and cross-dataset evaluations.
