We report the radio observations of the eclipsing black widow pulsar J1720-0534, a 3.26 ms pulsar in orbit with a low mass companion of mass 0.029 to 0.034 M⊙. We obtain the phase-connected timing ephemeris and polarization profile of this millisecond pulsar(MSP) using the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST), the Green Bank Telescope(GBT), and the Parkes Telescope. For the first time from such a system, an oscillatory polarization angle change was observed from a particular eclipse egress with partial depolarization, indicating 10-milliGauss-level reciprocating magnetic fields oscillating in a length scale of 5 ×10^(3)km(assuming an orbital inclination angle of 90°) outside the companion's magnetosphere. The dispersion measure variation observed during the ingresses and egresses shows the rapid raising of the electron density in the shock boundary between the companion's magnetosphere and the surrounding pulsar wind. We suggest that the observed oscillatory magnetic fields originate from the pulsar wind outside the companion's magnetosphere.

SMT-Layout: A MaxSMT-based Approach Supporting Real-time Interaction of Real-world GUI Layout

Leveraging the flexible expressive ability of (Max)SMT and the powerful solving ability of SMT solvers, we propose a novel layout model named SMT-Layout. SMT-Layout is the first constraint-based layout model that can support real-time interaction for real-world GUI layout adapting to various screen sizes with only one specification. Previous works neglect the hierarchy information among widgets and thus cannot exploit the reasoning ability of solvers. For the first time, we introduce Boolean variables to encode the hierarchy relationship, boosting the reasoning ability of SMT solvers. The workflow is divided into two stages. At the development end, two novel preprocessing methods are proposed to simplify constraints and extract useful information in advance, easing the solving burden. After deploying constraints to the terminal end, SMT solvers are applied to solve constraints incrementally. Besides mainstream SMT solvers, a local search solver is customized to this scenario. Experiments show that SMT-Layout can support millisecond-level interaction for real-world layouts, even on devices with low computing power and rigorous memory limitations. © 2024, CC BY-NC-SA.

Moisture content is one of the important indexes of food storage security. The existing detection methods are time-consuming and high cost such that it is difficult to realize online moisture detection. In this paper, according to the dielectric properties of wheat, we propose a wheat moisture content detection system with commercial Wi-Fi devices, termed WiWm-EP. First, we introduce the relationship between the moisture content of wheat and its dielectric constant. Then, we establish an equivalent permittivity (EP) model to characterize wheat moisture content, where the EP can be calculated from channel state information (CSI) of the dual antenna model. Besides, we build the fitting function between the EP and the moisture content as the wheat moisture detection model. Finally, we evaluate the performance of the system through different experiments. The average relative error of the detection results of five wheat samples with different moisture contents is less than 3%. © 2023 IEEE.

Global Navigation Satellite systems (GNSS) can provide real-time positioning information for outdoor users, but cannot for indoor scenarios or heavily occluded outdoor scenarios. Strap-down Inertial Navigation system (SINS) are widely used to locate people in complex interior or heavily occluded outdoor scenarios due to its light weight and low power consumption. However, IMU of SINS are noisy, and the sampling data error is large, which is a divergence of the error with time. Therefore, it will generate a positioning accumulation error, which affects the final positioning accuracy. The problem of cumulative IMU errors is usually dealt with by Zero-Velocity Update (ZUPT). The zero-velocity detection part of basic ZUPT method usually uses a single threshold to determine the gait of pedestrian, which often has the problem of gait misjudgment and omission. To address these problems, this paper proposes a composite conditional detection method to solve the problem of misjudgment in the zero-velocity interval. In addition, we redesign the zero-velocity update algorithm and uses the Cubature Kalman filter (CKF) for pedestrian positioning error correction. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed ZUPT method based on dual-threshold detection can better detect the interval between pedestrian motion and stationery than ones with single threshold. The zero-velocity update algorithm based on CKF has higher performance than conventional EKF and UKF methods, which constrains the cumulative error of SINS to about 0.2% of the whole walking distance. © 2023 IEEE.

Deep Q-learning (DQN) has shown recent success on a wide range of complicated sequential decision-making issues, especially in the classic control area. However, in most DQN training, the sampling policies, particularly the ϵ-greedy policy and its derivation rules, produce noise erroneously due to the unsteadiness and unreliability of Q values utilized for searching for optimum actions. We begin with a fundamental hypothesis: complete advantages-based exploitation may be employed to help in successful exploration, and the gap between advantages on outstanding and poor actions tends to extend during the early phases of training before stabilizing. We then present a novel DQN architecture with a superior sampling policy that is totally and directly based on advantage values. This new DQN is named A-sampling DQN, and it requires minor code changes based on the original DQN codes. In most cases, A-sampling DQN and its derivatives outperformed the traditional DQN method. © 2022 IEEE.

As a decentralized machine learning paradigm, Federated Learning (FL) is an emerging technique to protect user data privacy in Mobile Edge computing (MEC). FL adopts the idea of distributed privacy computing, enabling the terminal devices to train machine learning models required by servers locally and upload model parameters to servers for aggregation. However, in the process of coupling FL with MEC systems, device heterogeneity, malicious use of poisoned data by users and limited system resources will seriously affect FL training accuracy, system reliability and energy efficiency. In this paper, a highly reliable and energy-efficient FL scheme is designed to solve these issues. Specifically, we first propose a calculation method for estimating the reliability of heterogeneous devices. Then, we design a highly reliable device selection scheme based on devices’ reliability, computing power, and participation times. Finally, we utilize the slack time in FL training to dynamically adjust the voltage and frequency of devices for reducing the energy consumption of training. Experimental results show that our proposed scheme improves the accuracy by up to 36.45% on average and saves energy by up to 48.63% when compared to the baseline and benchmarking methods.

CRSOT: Cross-Resolution Object Tracking using Unaligned Frame and Event Cameras

Existing datasets for RGB-DVS tracking are collected with DVS346 camera and their resolution (346 × 260) is low for practical applications. Actually, only visible cameras are deployed in many practical systems, and the newly designed neuromorphic cameras may have different resolutions. The latest neuromorphic sensors can output high-definition event streams, but it is very difficult to achieve strict alignment between events and frames on both spatial and temporal views. Therefore, how to achieve accurate tracking with unaligned neuromorphic and visible sensors is a valuable but unresearched problem. In this work, we formally propose the task of object tracking using unaligned neuromorphic and visible cameras. We build the first unaligned frame-event dataset CRSOT collected with a specially built data acquisition system, which contains 1,030 high-definition RGB-Event video pairs, 304,974 video frames. In addition, we propose a novel unaligned object tracking framework that can realize robust tracking even using the loosely aligned RGB-Event data. Specifically, we extract the template and search regions of RGB and Event data and feed them into a unified ViT backbone for feature embedding. Then, we propose uncertainty perception modules to encode the RGB and Event features, respectively, then, we propose a modality uncertainty fusion module to aggregate the two modalities. These three branches are jointly optimized in the training phase. A new talent training mode of collaboration between industry and education was proposed, which aims to reduce the gaps of talent definition between enterprise demand and college education. We formulates scenario as a text matching task of similarity between courses details and job position information, developed a ERNIE+DPCNN based model for the task. The model has been benchmarked on LCQMC dataset, the results show that it achieves the art-of state performance of Acc 0.8809, Recall 0.8745, and FX score 0.8739, We conducted many experiments about the text similarity calculation between domains of industry and educations. The experiment results show our approach has much potential to optimize the curriculum system while applying in this field. © 2022 IEEE

In this paper,we propose a contact-free wheat moisture monitoring system,termed Wi-Wheatþ,to address the several limitations of the existing grain moisture detection technologies,such as time-consuming process,expensive equipment,low accuracy,and difficulty in real-time *** proposed system is based on Commodity WiFi and is easy to *** WiFi CSI data,this paper proposes a feature extraction method based on multi-scale and multi-channel *** feasibility and stability of the system are validated through experiments in both Line-Of-Sight(LOS)and Non-Line-Of-Sight(NLOS)scenarios,where ten types of wheat moisture content are tested using multi-class Support Vector Machine(SVM).Compared with the Wi-Wheat system proposed in our prior work,Wi-Wheatþhas higher efficiency,requiring only a simple training process,and can sense more wheat moisture content levels.
