Reliability is an important software trustworthy attribute. But most existent reliability model don't consider the severity degree of software fault, so traditional software reliability model can't reflect the trustworthiness of software. Based on the analysis of typical J-M reliability growth model, this paper modifies some of the model assumptions and classifies the software faults. Besides, this paper presents a new method based on weight to calculate the degree of software reliability. Finally, according to the different of frequency of software faults, a practical reliability prediction method is proposed and the experiment results shows that the improved model has a better forecast accuracy.

Recently, data center carbon emission has become an emerging concern for the cloud service providers. Previous works are limited on cutting down the power consumption of the data centers to defuse such a concern. In this paper, we show how the spatial and temporal variabilities of the electricity carbon footprint can be fully exploited to further green the cloud running on top of geographically distributed data centers. We jointly consider the electricity cost, service level agreement (SLA) requirement, and emission reduction budget. To navigate such a three-way tradeoff, we take advantage of Lyapunov optimization techniques to design and analyze a carbon-aware control framework, which makes online decisions on geographical load balancing, capacity right-sizing, and server speed scaling. Results from rigorous mathematical analyses and real-world trace-driven empirical evaluation demonstrate its effectiveness in both minimizing electricity cost and reducing carbon emission.

Understanding and modelling the users' perceptual quality of a video are the key steps towards improving multimedia service provision. In this paper, we take an analytical approach to study the joint impact of spatial and temporal resolution on the perceptual video quality. First, we map the subjective quality data as an evaluation function in terms of the spatial resolution and frame rate, which reflect the major features of web video quality. Second, we use ε-Support Vector Regression (ε-SVR) with Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernel to give a more accurate hybrid temporal-spatial quality evaluation model so as to predict the perceptual video quality. The comprehensive subjective quality experiments were carried out to construct and validate this model. The experimental results demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed model. Besides, the quality model can be easily deployed in a practical multimedia delivery system.
