It is very challenging to schedule a multi-cluster tool for it needs to coordinate the activities of multiple robots. This paper studies one-wafer cyclic scheduling for multi-cluster tools whose bottleneck cluster tool is process-bound. A Petri net model is developed to describe the system. Based on the model, it is shown that, for any multi-cluster tool whose bottleneck cluster tool is process-bound, there is always a one-wafer cyclic schedule. Then, a method is presented to find the minimal cycle time and the optimal one-wafer cyclic schedule. The method requires only simple calculation. An example illustrates the application and effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2013 IEEE.

In this paper, we investigate on the opportunistic routing in Multi-Power Wireless Sensor Networks (MP WSNs). We first propose a routing metric called METT of opportunistic routing in MP WSNs, and model the power selecting process as a Markov decision process for computing the METT metric. We describe the METT-based opportunistic routing problem, and design a polynomial time optimal algorithm for getting the optimal routing and power selection scheme. Theory analysis and experiments show that the proposed multi-power opportunistic routing can improve the data transmission efficiency, significantly reduce the energy consumption and the end-to-end transmission delay. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

In order to avoid the detection of the spam system based on text, more and more spammers have embedded text information into the image. An image spam identification method based on gray-gradient co-occurrence matrix (GGCM) was proposed to detect image spam effectively. The feature of image was extracted through GGCM firstly, and then LS-SVM was used to do classification. The test results show that this method has higher classification accuracy and better real-time performance.

Among preemptive real-time uniprocessor scheduling algorithms, many researches, such as optimal and heuristic algorithms, considers only one task attribute and neglects also the variation of attributes. To understand the relations between task attributes and scheduling success ratio, we first define the sensitivity of scheduling success ratio to task attributes. Sensitivity means the intensity of variation of scheduling success ratio as task attributes varies. The paper analyzes the sensitivities of scheduling success ratio to arrival time, execution time, deadline and laxity respectively, which have close relations with scheduling. Based on the definition of sensitivity, we also define attributes' influence on scheduling success ratio, which is that the greater the influence, the higher the ratio. The essence of dynamic scheduling is a scheduling based on priority, with each dynamic algorithm matching a priority table, and vice versa. It is also much easier to infer the algorithm from the priority table, which can consider several task attributes. As priority table has various designs, it can correspond to a lot of algorithms, among which, many are inefficient. In order to deal with this kind of problem, we propose a new priority table design PTBM combining deadline and laxity based on the analysis of sensitivity and influence, which makes that a task with small deadline and large laxity has higher priority. We compare PTBM with EDF, LLF and PTD through simulation. The results verify the analysis of sensitivity and influence, and it also shows that PTBM outperforms on scheduling success ratio. It needs further exploration to design more efficient priority table by analyzing more task attributes' influence on scheduling success ratio, which includes criticalness, task type and so on. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

In order to achieve good user experience,data center services usually operate under deadline ***,data center services typically employ Partition/Aggregate algorithms which result in bursts of short query traffic with tight *** paper proposes a Deadline and Size aware TCP scheme(DSTCP) for datacenter networks,which adjusts the congestion window size of a flow according to its deadline and its size,as well as the dynamic congestion degree of *** with TCP,DSTCP can achieve a high throughput and maintain a small queue at the same *** to the awareness of flow deadline and flow size as well as the gentle additive increase and back off mechanism,DSTCP can greatly reduce the number of deadline-missing flows.

Reliability is an important software trustworthy attribute. But most existent reliability model don't consider the severity degree of software fault, so traditional software reliability model can't reflect the trustworthiness of software. Based on the analysis of typical J-M reliability growth model, this paper modifies some of the model assumptions and classifies the software faults. Besides, this paper presents a new method based on weight to calculate the degree of software reliability. Finally, according to the different of frequency of software faults, a practical reliability prediction method is proposed and the experiment results shows that the improved model has a better forecast accuracy.

Large touch screen systems (LTSS) have been widely used in scientific, industrial, educational and artistic domains. They are easy and natural for people to use. We present a novel touch screen interaction with finger pointing and operating. To track the high freedom of fingertips with quick changes and self-occlusion by using ordinary cameras is a complex and challenging task. We propose a series of computer vision (CV) algorithms to fix initial position, coordinates mapping, fingertip detection, fingertip tracking, fingertip pose recognition, and generate control instructions. Evaluation shows our system is simply implemented and has a great effect. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

In this paper, a discriminant manifold learning method based on Locally Linear Embedding (LLE), which is named Locally Linear Representation Fisher Criterion (LLRFC), is proposed for the classification of tumor gene expressive data. In the proposed LLRFC, an inter-class graph and intra-class graph is constructed based on the class information of tumor gene expressive data, where the weights between nodes in both graph are optimized using locally linear representation trick. Moreover, a Fisher criterion is modeled to maximize the inter-class scatter and minimize the intra-class scatter simultaneously. Experiments on some benchmark tumor gene expressive data validate its efficiency. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

This work intends to schedule a dual-arm cluster tool for the atomic layer deposition (ALD) process with wafer residency time constraints. ALD is a typical wafer revisiting process. Based on the analysis of system properties, a novel scheduling strategy called modified 1-wafer cyclic scheduling is derived. With this strategy, necessary and sufficient schedulability conditions are established. If schedulable, scheduling algorithms are presented to obtain a feasible and optimal schedule. By the proposed method, a schedule can be found by just simple calculation. An illustrative example is given to show the application of the proposed approach. © 2013 IEEE.
