A unified charge-based model for fully depleted silicon-on-insulator （SOI） metal oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors （MOSFETs） is presented. The proposed model is accurate and applicable from intrinsic to heavily doped channels with various structure parameters. The framework starts from the one-dimensional Poisson Boltzmann equa- tion, and based on the full depletion approximation, an accurate inversion charge density equation is obtained. With the inversion charge density solution, the unified drain current expression is derived, and a unified terminal charge and intrinsic capacitance model is also derived in the quasi-static case. The validity and accuracy of the presented analytic model is proved by numerical simulations.

Solving the eigenvalues of matrices is an open problem which is often related to scientific computation. With the increasing of the order of matrices, traditional sequential algorithms are unable to meet the needs for the calculation time. Although people can use cluster systems in a short time to solve the eigenvalues of large-scale matrices, it will bring an increase in equipment costs and power consumption. This paper proposes a parallel algorithm named Jacobi on gpu which is implemented by CUDA (computer Unified Device Architecture) on GPU (Graphic Process Unit) to solve the eigenvalues of symmetric matrices. In our experimental environment, we have Intel Core i5-760 quad-core CPU, NVIDIA GeForce GTX460 card, and Win7 64-bit operating system. When the size of matrix is 10240×10240, the number of iterations is 10000 times, the speedup ratio is 13.71. As the size of matrices increase, the speedup ratio increases correspondingly. Moreover, as the number of iterations increases, the speedup ratio is very stable. When the size of matrix is 8192×8192, the number of iterations are 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000 and 16000 respectively, the standard deviation of the speedup ratio is 0.1161. The experimental results show that the Jacobi on gpu algorithm can save more running time than traditional sequential algorithms and the speedup ratio is 3.02∼13.71. Therefore, the computing time of traditional sequential algorithms to solve the eigenvalues of matrices is reduced significantly. © 2012 IEEE.

In manufacturing execution system (MES), Since scheduling of multiple projects is a complex and time-consuming task, a large number of heuristic rules have been proposed by researchers for such problems. However, each of these rules is usually appropriate for only one specific type of problem. Since the Genetic Algorithm (GA) has its immanent limitations and the Simulated Annealing (SA) Algorithm has the advantages in some aspects, combined these two algorithms together just achieve the perfection. In view of this, a hybrid of GA and SA (GA-SA Hybrid) is proposed in this paper to solve job-shop scheduling problem. The algorithm making the crossover and mutation probability adjusted adaptively and nonlinearly with the completion time, can avoid such disadvantages as premature convergence. The approach is tested on a set of standard instances and compared with other approaches. The Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

We propose a visual tele-AR system, which is a combination of tele-existence and AR techniques. By wearing a video see-through HMD and moving his head, a user in this system is able to tele-operate a remote pan-tilt platform to observe the remote scene. Unlike traditional tele-existence systems which use mechanical or magnetic sensors for tele-operation, we propose a novel tele-operation method based on real-time tracking of master and slave cameras. The master camera is a component of the video see-through HMD mounted in front of user's eyes, while the slave camera is carried by a remote platform. We estimate use's head motion by tracking the master camera in real time, and translate head motions into motion commands to drive the remote pan-tilt platform. Ideally, motion of the remote platform will be exactly the same as user's head. Unfortunately, motion speed of the slave platform is usually limited by their mechanical capability, which may cause pose inconsistence between master and slave cameras, especially when user's head moves fast. We solve this problem by also tracking slave camera in real time, and warping video images according to difference between master and slave camera pose. Since slave camera is tracked, we can integrate virtual objects into remote scene, giving the user an augmented visual sense. To reduce system delay, our implementation is accelerated GPU parallel computation. Experimental results show the efficiency and robustness of our method. © 2012 IEEE.

Image mosaicing algorithm for dynamic scenes using multi-scaled PHOG feature and optimal seam

Aiming at the problems of registration error and synthetic movement ghost which are caused by moving objects in image mosaicing, a mosaicing algorithm for dynamic scene using multi-scale pyramid histogram of oriented gradients (PHOG) and optimal seam is proposed. Firstly, a new feature, multi-scaled PHOG, is generated by introducing PHOG to multi-scale space corner detections. The feature is used to align images for avoiding the local impact caused by moving objects in image registration. Then, an optimal seam, guaranteeing the minimum difference in geometry and gray value, is searched by graph cut algorithm through constructing an energy function to remove the movement ghost. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is efficient in dealing with the problems of image mosaicing with moving objects, and the mosaicing results are satisfactory with high precision.

Policy is an essential part of computer network defense, which also has important guidance effect in the deployment, implementation, and configuration of the defense system. Thus, the possibility of conflicts existing in defense policies is becoming more and more crucial for ensuring the security of policies themselves. In this paper, we use a computer network defense policy specification language called CNDPSL, according to a model called CNDPM, to describe computer network defense policies, which can provide a uniform method of specifying policies of protection, detection and response. First, this article analyses conflicts existing in defense policies and shows the classification of these conflicts. Then, it gives a computer network defense policy detection model. Finally, this article shows a prototype system of computer network defense policy conflict detection, and validates the effectiveness of the prototype system with experiments.

computer Network Defense Policy is the rules of computer network and security devices. In order to achieve specific security objectives, the network need to choose the defensive measures under certain conditions. In order to generate the measures implemented by the device, it usually requires manual or automated translation from high-level network defense policy. In the translation process, due to the presence of semantic loss, man-made understanding mistakes, device machinery, etc., the high-level policy requirements cannot be completely satisfied. This will result in hiding network security risks or vulnerabilities. Through analysis of the consistency between high-level policy and low-level measures, and pointing out the lack and redundancy between the policy and measures, it can guide the further translation of policy on the device. This paper presents a novel formal and automated method to verify the consistency. When errors are detected, we will point out the location of the misconfiguration. The same time, based on SMT solving tools, it has been implemented in a prototype of consistency verifier. Experiments demonstrate that this tool is able to check the consistency and have good scalability and efficiency.

With the rapid development of service-oriented computing (SOC) and service-oriented architecture (SOA), the number of services is rapidly increasing. How to organize and manage services effectively in repositories to improve the efficiency of service discovery and composition is important. This paper proposes three categorization rules to classify services for a large scale repository to form a relational taxonomy. The service retrieve scope can be drastically narrowed by this taxonomy. Therefore, the efficiency of service discovery and service composition can be greatly improved. We evaluate and compare the performance of the proposed method and other related ones via a publicly available test set, ICEBE05. The experimental results validate the effectiveness and high efficiency of the proposed one. © 2012 IEEE.

Software testing is the key validation technique used by industry up to today, but remain error prone and expensive cost. Automatically generating test cases from formal models of the system under test is a promising improvement approach to cut down the testing cost. This paper introduces a technique that automatically generate real-time conformance test cases from timed automata specifications. First, both reactive system and its environment is modeled by restricted automata with the notion of deterministic, input enabled and output urgent. Then demonstration is given to show how to efficiently generate real-time test cases with optimal execution time from diagnostic trace. Finally, we formally specify user's single purpose or coverage criteria to convert the test case generation problem into a reachability problem. This approach is implemented using model checkers as test case generation tools and experiment results on three different coverage criteria specifications show feasibility and effectiveness of our technique.

Concurrent trace is an emerging challenge when debugging multicore systems. In concurrent trace, trace buffer becomes a bottleneck since all trace sources try to access it simultaneously. In addition, the on-chip interconnection fabric is extremely high hardware cost for the distributed trace signals. In this paper, we propose a clustering-based scheme which implements concurrent trace for debugging Network-on-Chip (NoC) based multicore systems. In the proposed scheme, a unified communication framework eliminates the requirement for interconnection fabric which is only used during debugging. With clustering scheme, multiple concurrent trace sources can access distributed trace buffer via NoC under bandwidth constraint. We evaluate the proposed scheme using Booksim and the results show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
