Text digital watermarking technology based on graph theory

Because of text's properties, it's so difficult to find perfect algorithms of embedding watermark into text documents, when compared with other media. Nowadays, text watermarking technologies is far behind other multimedia watermarking technologies such as images, audios, etc. A novel text digital watermarking technology based on graph theory is presented in this paper. Through changing its topology structures of a character or string, different figures are schemed out, which represent the same semanteme. Then those figures are mapped on graphs of graph theory, and the graphs or their properties should be correctly encoded in order to denote different watermarking information. The mathematic models of embedding and detecting watermarking are also described, and the experimental methods of robustness and visual influence, as well as the relative results are given. Finally, general rules of removing attack on text watermarking system is proposed, and the attack-resisting capability and methods of this text digital watermarking is analyzed in detail. According to the experimentation and analysis, the text watermarking technology has the following advantages: great capacity of watermarking, strong robustness, little visual influence and quite good attack-resisting capability. With this technology, it is more convenient to embed watermark into characters for ideograph languages such as Chinese and Korean, while it is suitable for embedding watermark into strings for alphabetic languages such as English and French.

The interaction modality constrained to desktop PC between user and WFMS is one of the main factors obstructing business processes to be widely applied in pervasive computing environment. In addition, the increasingly complicated and flexible group activities have been a salient feature of current business processes. Traditional workflow management systems have difficulties in supporting such features. By extending and improving modeling method and executing mechanism of workflow management system, a group-supported system is designed and implemented, which has the ability of interacting with users in multiple modalities. This paper introduces the new modeling method for multifold group activities as well as the mechanism supporting interaction with multiple modalities. Then some outcomes and findings in the applications of the system are discussed.

Due to the increasing software complexity, how to integrate the legacy data resources and systems is a big challenge for the enterprise. This paper makes full use of agent technologies to establish an agent grid intelligent platform for enterprise heterogeneous system integration. The agent grid intelligent platform adopts a hierarchical integration model and middleware to provide efficient integration capability for different application systems. Finally, this paper introduces the grid based city emergency interaction system to illustrate the AGrIP practical system integration.

Recent changes in data management within post-genomic clinical trials have emphasized the need for novel methods and tools to solve semantic and syntactic heterogeneities among distributed sources of information. ACGT is an Integrated Project funded by the European Commission that aims at building a GRID-based platform comprised by a set of tools to support multicentric post-genomic clinical trials on cancer. The main goal of ACGT is to provide seamless access to heterogeneous sources of information. For this purpose, two core tools were developed and included in the ACGT architecture: the ACGT Semantic Mediator (ACGT-SM), and the Data Access Wrappers (ACGT-DAWs). The ACGT-SM addresses semantics and schema integration, while the ACGT-DAWs cope with syntactic heterogeneities. Once the sources are bridged together, they can be seamlessly accessed using the RDQL query *** tested our tools using a set of three relational and DICOM based image sources obtaining promising results.

We have reported the successful use of the Loop Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) reaction for Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) DNA in a 25 μl micro-reactor for the development of a rapid diagnostic device recently. This method shows the successful amplification of HBV DNA with high specificity and sensitivity efficiently within one hour. Such a powerful method can be used for many other fast diagnostic applications with the help of optimal primer design and miniaturization of reactor. In this report, we will first summarize the general design rules for primer design from literature reviews and our experimental results. We will discuss the effects of HBV primers and concentrations of working buffers for optimal performance. © 2007 National Taiwan University.

Partial least squares (PLS) is one of the widely used dimension reduction methods for analysis of gene expression microarray data, it represents the data in a low dimensional space through linear transformation, the size of the reduced space by PLS is critical to generalization performance of classifiers. The previous works always determined the top fixed number of components or the top several components by cross-validation. Here we demonstrate the usage of feature selection for PLS based dimension reduction. As a case study, PLS is combined with two feature selection methods (genetic algorithm and sequential backward floating selection) to get more robust and efficient dimensional space, and then the constructed data from the selected components is used as input for the support vector machine (SVM) classifier. We use the method for tumor classification on gene microarray data, experimental results illustrate that our proposed framework is effective both to reduce classification error rates and get compact dimensional space.

Several artificial intelligent methods, including support vector regression (SVR), artificial neural networks (ANNs), and partial least square (PLS) are used for the multivariate calibration in the determination of the three aromatic amino acids (phenylalanine, tyrosine and tryptophan) in their mixtures by fluorescence spectroscopy. The results of the leave-one-out method show that SVR perform better than other methods, and appear to be good methods for this task. Furthermore, feature selection is performed for SVR to remove redundant features and a novel algorithm named PRIFER (prediction risk based feature selection for support vector regression) is proposed. Results on the above multivariate calibration data set show that PRIFER is a powerful tool for solving the multivariate calibration problems.

In this paper a new approach for building networked embedded software is presented. The approach is based on the composition of reusable components with the addition of a perspective contract principle for modeling non-functional properties. Nonfunctional properties are an important aspect of networked embedded software, and this is why they are modeled separately. As such, the component view presented here differs from traditional component based views, where focus is laid on the functional part. The ideas discussed in the paper have been implemented in a tool. This tool enables the construction of networked embedded software by means of components and perspective contracts. Currently, a queuing network based algorithm that considers all non-functional properties together performs a static analysis on the perspective contracts before execution of the application. © 2006 IEEE.

A metallic waveguide is one of effective media guiding a millimeter- and submillimeter-wave because of the advantage of low loss. In this paper, trial fabrication of a PTFE-filled rectangular waveguide for millimeter-wave components is attempted with the use of the SR direct etching process, sputter deposition of metal, and electroplating. The fabrication procedure for the PTFE-filled waveguide is described and the measured frequency characteristics of the PTFE-filled waveguide mitered bends are shown.

Recommendation system is one of the most important technologies applied in e-commerce. Similarity measuring method is fundamental to collaborative filtering algorithm, and traditional methods are inefficient especially when the user rating data are extremely sparse. Based on the outstanding characteristics of Cloud Model on the process of transforming a qualitative concept to a set of quantitative numerical values, a novel similarity measuring method, namely the likeness comparing method based on cloud model (LICM) is proposed in this paper. LICM compares the similarity of two users on knowledge level, which can overcome the drawback of attributes' strictly matching. This work analysis traditional methods throughly and puts forward a novel collaborative filtering algorithm, which is based on the LICM method. Experiments on typical data set show the excellent performance of the present collaborative filtering algorithm based on LICM, even with extremely sparsity of data.
