In Non-Geostationary Orbit Satellite Networks (NGOSNs) with a large number of battery-carrying satellites, proper power allocation and task scheduling are crucial to improving data offloading efficiency. In this work, we jointly optimize power allocation and task scheduling to achieve energy-efficient data offloading in NGOSNs. Our goal is to properly balance the minimization of the total energy consumption and the maximization of the sum weights of tasks. Due to the tight coupling between power allocation and task scheduling, we first derive the optimal power allocation solution to the joint optimization problem with any given task scheduling policy. We then leverage the conflict graph model to transform the joint optimization problem into an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) problem with any given power allocation strategy. We explore the unique structure of the ILP problem to derive an efficient semidefinite relaxation-based solution. Finally, we utilize the genetic framework to combine the above special solutions as a two-layer solution for the original joint optimization problem. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed solution can properly balance the reduction of total energy consumption and the improvement of the sum weights of tasks, thus achieving superior system performance over the current literature. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

PIR: Remote Sensing Image-Text Retrieval with Prior Instruction Representation Learning

Remote sensing image-text retrieval constitutes a foundational aspect of remote sensing interpretation tasks, facilitating the alignment of vision and language representations. This paper introduces a prior instruction representation (PIR) learning paradigm that draws on prior knowledge to instruct adaptive learning of vision and text representations. Based on PIR, a domain-adapted remote sensing image-text retrieval framework PIR-ITR is designed to address semantic noise issues in vision-language understanding tasks. However, with massive additional data for pre-training the vision-language foundation model, remote sensing image-text retrieval is further developed into an open-domain retrieval task. Continuing with the above, we propose PIR-CLIP, a domain-specific CLIP-based framework for remote sensing image-text retrieval, to address semantic noise in remote sensing vision-language representations and further improve open-domain retrieval performance. In vision representation, we utilize the prior-guided knowledge of the remote sensing scene recognition by building a belief matrix to select key features for reducing the impact of semantic noise. In text representation, we use the previous time step to cyclically activate the current time step to enhance text representation capability. A cluster-wise Affiliation Loss (AL) is proposed to constrain the inter-classes and to reduce the semantic confusion zones in the common subspace. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that PIR could enhance vision and text representations and outperform the state-of-the-art methods of closed-domain and open-domain retrieval on two benchmark datasets, RSICD and RSITMD. Cross-Language Binary-Source Code Matching with Intermediate Representations

Binary-source code matching plays an important role in many security and software engineering related tasks such as malware detection, reverse engineering and vulnerability assessment. Currently, several approaches have been proposed for binary-source code matching by jointly learning the embeddings of binary code and source code in a common vector space. Despite much effort, existing approaches target on matching the binary code and source code written in a single programming language. However, in practice, software applications are often written in different programming languages to cater for different requirements and computing platforms. Matching binary and source code across programming languages introduces additional challenges when maintaining multi-language and multi-platform applications. To this end, this paper formulates the problem of cross-language binary-source code matching, and develops a new dataset for this new problem. We present a novel approach XLIR, which is a Transformer-based neural network by learning the intermediate representations for both binary and source code. To validate the effectiveness of XLIR, comprehensive experiments are conducted on two tasks of cross-language binary-source code matching, and cross-language source-source code matching, on top of our curated dataset. Experimental results and analysis show that our proposed XLIR with intermediate representations significantly outperforms other state-of-the-art models in both of the two tasks. Cloud computing becoming popular now day as, the world is moving towards vitalization and it provide resource to the users depending on their needs by using different resource allocation technique. Resilience and reliability is one of the major issue while dealing with cloud computing. Mitigation failure and migration failure are the issues in cloud resilience and reliability services which cause many service level objective violation. Many work have been done to improve the quality of resilience and reliability. The aim of this paper is to provide a better technique to avoid and recover from mitigation failure and a reliable resource allocation approach at minimum possible cost, for this purpose we used Cascading Failure Resilience system (CSFR) technique. Comparative analyses done to validate our approach and the results shows that our approach handle mitigation failure in an efficient way as well as it provide reliability while providing resources to the users at a comparative low cost.

The semantic segmentation of informal urban settlements represents an essential contribution towards renovation strategies and reconstruction *** this context,however,a big challenge remains unsolved when dealing with incomplete data acquisitions from multiple sensing devices,especially when study areas are depicted by images of different *** practice,traditional methodologies are directed to downgrade the higher-resolution data to the lowest-resolution measure,to define an overall homogeneous dataset,which is however ineffective in downstream segmentation activities of such crowded unplanned urban *** this purpose,we hereby tackle the problem in the opposite direction,namely upscaling the lower-resolution data to the highest-resolution measure,contributing to assess the use of cutting-edge super-resolution generative adversarial network(SR-GAN)*** experimental novelty targets the particular case involving the automatic detection of‘urban villages’,sign of the quick transformation of Chinese urban *** aligning image resolutions from two different data sources(Gaofen-2 and Sentinel-2 data),we evaluated the degree of improvement with regard to pixel-based landcover segmentation,achieving,on a 1 m resolution target,classification accuracies up to 83%,67%and 56%for 4x,8x,and 10x resolution upgrades respectively,disclosing the advantages of artificially-upscaled images for segmenting detailed characteristics of informal settlements.

Preserving Location Privacy of IoT Devices in Heterogeneous Edge computing Architecture Through Deniability-Based Authentication

Edge computing moves cloud services closer to consumer Internet of Things (IoT) devices, reducing latency and bandwidth usage. This setup enables faster responses but also introduces new security challenges, particularly concerning location privacy when sender and receiver use different security techniques. The authentication process in such architectures can expose the location of IoT devices. To address this issue, researchers have proposed various privacy-preserving schemes. However, these are computationally heavy for IoT devices. To tackle this issue, we propose two novel heterogeneous deniable authentication schemes: HDA-IoT-I and HDA-IoT-II. These schemes use public-key infrastructure and identity-based cryptography to protect the location privacy of IoT devices in heterogeneous edge computing environments. Our schemes enable the designated edge device to verify the source of a message without being able to prove its origin to a third party, thus preserving privacy. Additionally, they incorporate a batch verification method, which speeds up the verification of multiple deniable authenticators. The proposed schemes are formally proven secure in the random oracle model based on the hardness assumption of elliptic curve inverse computational Diffie-Hellman problem. The performance evaluation demonstrate that our schemes significantly enhance computational and communication efficiency, making them suitable for IoT devices. © 2025 IEEE.

Multimodal sarcasm detection aims to identify whether utterances express sarcastic intentions contrary to their literal meaning based on multimodal information. However, existing methods fail to explore the model's "ability to understand" the semantics expressed by sentences in the image context from semantic diversity perspectives. In this paper, we propose a multi-view semantic awareness method, which concretizes semantics from multiple perspectives to improve the model's ability to capture different semantic features. Specifically, two learnable prefixes are attached to the text representation respectively to construct semantic representations from both the literal meaning and sarcastic intention perspectives. Then, image-text information is further fused through cross-attention to guide the semantic representation of different perspectives in the image context. Finally, the semantics expressed by prefixes are strengthened through KL divergence, thereby encouraging the model to capture two distinctive semantic features. Experiments on benchmark datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. © 2025 IEEE.

The Quantum K-means clustering algorithm offers the advantage of quantum parallel computing, but suffers from issues related to cluster center initialization and sensitivity to noisy data due to its similarity with the K-means clustering algorithm. To address these challenges, we propose a quantum K-means model based on an optimization framework. Specifi-cally, we use a quantum genetic algorithm with pin optimization to adjust the fitness function for the Quantum K-means clustering algorithm. The optimally adapted quantum genetic algorithm reduces the sensitivity of cluster center initialization and improves the noise robustness of the Quantum K-means clus-tering algorithm using a noise reduction self-encoder. As a result, the proposed model achieves better clustering performance even in the presence of noise. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed quantum K-means model has fewer clustering iterations, lower probability of falling into local optima, and improved noise robustness after optimizing the clustering cen-ters. The model's effectiveness in clustering is also demon-strated experimentally. © 2023 IEEE.

DEGSTalk: Decomposed Per-Embedding Gaussian Fields for Hair-Preserving Talking Face Synthesis

Accurately synthesizing talking face videos and capturing fine facial features for individuals with long hair presents a significant challenge. To tackle these challenges in existing methods, we propose a decomposed per-embedding Gaussian fields (DEGSTalk), a 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS)-based talking face synthesis method for generating realistic talking faces with long hairs. Our DEGSTalk employs Deformable Pre-Embedding Gaussian Fields, which dynamically adjust pre-embedding Gaussian primitives using implicit expression coefficients. This enables precise capture of dynamic facial regions and subtle expressions. Additionally, we propose a Dynamic Hair-Preserving Portrait Rendering technique to enhance the realism of long hair motions in the synthesized videos. Results show that DEGSTalk achieves improved realism and synthesis quality compared to existing approaches, particularly in handling complex facial dynamics and hair preservation.
