In recent years, Android application privacy leaking issues frequently occur, with the results that privacy leakage detection becomes a critical role in app market security review, and numerous mobile apps have been removed from the app stores as a consequence. At the same time, manual review is still considered as a main method for market security audit, but it would cause low efficiency and high false positive when faced with thousands of auditing tasks. To overcome the above problems, this paper implements a large volume, automated detection of privacy leaks in Android applications via machine learning algorithms. In order to achieve a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of application behavior features, firstly, 2346 benign software from app market and 1912 malware identified by a national regulatory authority as leaking privacy in the past two years were selected and studied using a hybrid static-dynamic analysis. Then by developing novel sensitivity criteria, we opt privacy-sensitive key permissions and API calls that are highly relevant to privacy leakage behavior. Moreover, in order to improve the practicability of our system, this thesis systematically optimize the application exerciser on the Android emulator, and achieve average per-app analysis time with less than 2 minutes. Finally, the results of the comparison experiments reveal that the stacking ensemble learning algorithm displayed the best classification performance and achieved 97.81% in accuracy of privacy leakage behavior detection. © 2022 IEEE.

Few-shot Face Image Translation via GAN Prior Distillation

Face image translation has made notable progress in recent years. However, when training on limited data, the performance of existing approaches significantly declines. Although some studies have attempted to tackle this problem, they either failed to achieve the few-shot setting (less than 10) or can only get suboptimal results. In this paper, we propose GAN Prior Distillation (GPD) to enable effective few-shot face image translation. GPD contains two models: a teacher network with GAN Prior and a student network that fulfills end-to-end translation. Specifically, we adapt the teacher network trained on large-scale data in the source domain to the target domain with only a few samples, where it can learn the target domain’s knowledge. Then, we can achieve few-shot augmentation by generating source domain and target domain images simultaneously with the same latent codes. We propose an anchor-based knowledge distillation module that can fully use the difference between the training and the augmented data to distill the knowledge of the teacher network into the student network. The trained student network achieves excellent generalization performance with the absorption of additional knowledge. Qualitative and quantitative experiments demonstrate that our method achieves superior results than state-of-the-art approaches in a few-shot setting. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. With the number of users that use mobile devices for frequent transactions increasing rapidly, it is a great challenge to guarantee the credibility of transactions. Blockchain is regarded as a practical technology for such demand, however, the limited computing capacity of each user's device becomes a bottleneck. In this paper, the edge computing pattern is introduced to support complex computing for mobile devices of users by renting computing resource from computing service providers. By considering demands of both the user and the service provider, we propose a two-level game approach based on the Stackelberg Game for multiple users and multiple service providers on computing resources renting and pricing. The simulation results show that the proposed mechanism is feasible and effective.

Waves seriously impact port construction, worldwide route planning, military activities, and wave power generation. To improve the accuracy of significant wave height prediction, we proposed a novel prediction method, a multi-layer perceptron combined with a backpropagation adjustment (MLP-BP) prediction model that combines mutation mode decomposition (VMD) and a simulated annealing optimization algorithm (SA). Firstly, we use the variable modulus method to decompose the significant wave height sequence data and transform the wave height sequence into multiple different sub-modes (IMF) to reduce the complexity and non-stationarity of the data. Secondly, the simulated annealing algorithm (SA) is used to optimize the weight and bias of the MLP-BP neural network to find the optimal parameter configuration and improve the performance and generalization ability of the prediction model. Finally, the decomposed sub-modal components of each significant wave height sequence are inserted into the MLP-BP neural network and the predicted values of each element are summed to obtain the final significant wave height prediction. The prediction results of the SSA-MLP-BP, PSO-MLP-BP, SA-MLP-BP, and VMD-SA-MLP-BP were compared and demonstrated that the VMD-SA-MLP-BP model performed best. The MAE, MAPE, MSE, RMSE, and R2 of the prediction evaluation indexes were 0.036 m, 11.7%, 0.004 m2, 0.067 m, and 0.983, respectively, which performed well in predicting significant wave height. © 2023 IEEE.

Addressing multiagent decision problems in AI, especially those involving collaborative or competitive agents acting concurrently in a partially observable and stochastic environment, remains a formidable challenge. While Interactive Dynamic Influence Diagrams (I-DIDs) have offered a promising decision framework for such problems, they encounter limitations when the subject agent encounters unknown behaviors exhibited by other agents that are not explicitly modeled within the I-DID. This can lead to sub-optimal responses from the subject agent. In this paper, we propose a novel data-driven approach that utilizes an encoder-decoder architecture, particularly a variational autoencoder, to enhance I-DID solutions. By integrating a perplexity-based tree loss function into the optimization algorithm of the variational autoencoder, coupled with the advantages of Zig-Zag One-Hot encoding and decoding, we generate potential behaviors of other agents within the I-DID that are more likely to contain their true behaviors, even from limited interactions. This new approach enables the subject agent to respond more appropriately to unknown behaviors, thus improving its decision quality. We empirically demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach in two well-established problem domains, highlighting its potential for handling multi-agent decision problems with unknown behaviors. Existing face forgery detection usually follows the paradigm of training models in a single domain, which leads to limited generalization capacity when unseen scenarios and unknown attacks occur. In this paper, we elaborately investigate the generalization capacity of deepfake detection models when jointly trained on multiple face forgery detection datasets. We first find a rapid degradation of detection accuracy when models are directly trained on combined datasets due to the discrepancy across collection scenarios and generation methods. To address the above issue, a Generalized Multi-Scenario Deepfake Detection framework (GM-DF) is proposed to serve multiple real-world scenarios by a unified model. First, we propose a hybrid expert modeling approach for domain-specific real/forgery feature extraction. Besides, as for the commonality representation, we use CLIP to extract the common features for better aligning visual and textual features across domains. Meanwhile, we introduce a masked image reconstruction mechanism to force models to capture rich forged details. Finally, we supervise the models via a domain-aware meta-learning strategy to further enhance their generalization capacities. Specifically, we design a novel domain alignment loss to strongly align the distributions of the meta-test domains and meta-train domains. Thus, the updated models are able to represent both specific and common real/forgery features across multiple datasets. In consideration of the lack of study of multi-dataset training, we establish a new benchmark leveraging multi-source data to fairly evaluate the models' generalization capacity on unseen scenarios. Both qualitative and quantitative experiments on five datasets conducted on traditional protocols as well as the proposed benchmark demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach. As an extended computing paradigm of cloud computing, Mobile Edge computing (MEC) facilitates real-time service responses by deploying resources near network edges. However, services should frequently move among multiple edge computing servers because of the mobility of most users, which accordingly leads to increased network operation costs and influences service quality. In this paper, we formulate the service migration problem as a Markov Decision Process (MDP) and introduce the dueling Deep Q-Network (DQN) to solve the problem, so as to reduce the network operating cost without lowering the service quality. We also propose a trajectory prediction approach to further optimize the service migration. Simulation experimental results demonstrate that the proposed mechanism can achieve a lower network operation cost without reducing the service quality.

GLC++: Source-Free Universal Domain Adaptation through Global-Local Clustering and Contrastive Affinity Learning

Deep neural networks often exhibit sub-optimal performance under covariate and category shifts. Source-Free Domain Adaptation (SFDA) presents a promising solution to this dilemma, yet most SFDA approaches are restricted to closed-set scenarios. In this paper, we explore Source-Free Universal Domain Adaptation (SF-UniDA) aiming to accurately classify "known" data belonging to common categories and segregate them from target-private "unknown" data. We propose a novel Global and Local Clustering (GLC) technique, which comprises an adaptive one-vs-all global clustering algorithm to discern between target classes, complemented by a local k-NN clustering strategy to mitigate negative transfer. Despite the effectiveness, the inherent closed-set source architecture leads to uniform treatment of "unknown" data, impeding the identification of distinct "unknown" categories. To address this, we evolve GLC to GLC++, integrating a contrastive affinity learning strategy. We examine the superiority of GLC and GLC++ across multiple benchmarks and category shift scenarios. Remarkably, in the most challenging open-partial-set scenarios, GLC and GLC++ surpass GATE by 16.7% and 18.6% in H-score on VisDA, respectively. GLC++ enhances the novel category clustering accuracy of GLC by 4.3% in open-set scenarios on Office-Home. Furthermore, the introduced contrastive learning strategy not only enhances GLC but also significantly facilitates existing methodologies. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Prostate cancer is a prevalent form of cancer among men, with a high rate of occurrence but relatively lower mortality compared to other types of cancer. Early detection is crucial because it allows for earlier intervention, potentially preventing progression to more severe stages, and improving patient outcomes. However, human diagnosis is time-consuming and inefficient, an autonomous early detection system is essential for saving lives. To address this challenge, we propose a novel MoE-MRIViT framework that uses advanced machine learning and computer vision techniques to analyze MRI images and identify features indicative of prostate cancer. The system processes the data using a vision transformer to extract precise prostate cancer features from MRI scans, and uses attention mechanisms to focus on significant areas. Through the MoE-MRIViT intervention in two stages, we have achieved superior results compared to the state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods. Experimental results demonstrate that our model achieves an impressive accuracy of 94.84%, outperforming the ResNet-101 and the basic ViT models, which achieve accuracies of 89.4% and 92.31%, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.
