Resilient observer-based event-triggered control for cyber-physical systems under asynchronous denial-of-service attacks

We develop the resilient observer-based event-triggered control update strategy in this *** is utilized to achieve the input-to-state stability（ISS） of cyber-physical systems（CPSs） when there is an asynchronous denial-of-service（DoS） attack, which is launched by malicious adversaries both on measurement channel and control channel in a random attack strategy. To estimate the unmeasurable states while saving the limited networked bandwidth, an H∞observer-based event-triggered control scheme is first designed to guarantee the ISS of CPSs with economic communication. Moreover, the occurrence of Zeno behavior can be eliminated by providing the existence of a lower positive bound of any two inter-event times. Then, a recursive model of asynchronous DoS attacks is introduced. A resilient control update strategy is proposed and further analyzed to derive the stability criterion of CPSs. At last, a numerical simulation example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the introduced control update policy.

This article studies the circumnavigation problem of a non-holonomic vehicle independent of the global coordinate. Specifically, the vehicle circumnavigates an unknown stationary target with anticipated distance and velocity. However, the position information (i.e., absolute position and positive position) is not available to the vehicle. Instead, the vehicle can just obtain the distance rate relative to the target. We propose a generic continuous and bounded control algorithm based on only the distance-rate measurement. It is demonstrated using Poincare-Bendixon Criterion that the proposed control algorithm in this article ensures the asymptotically stable circumnavigation. Simulation is finally given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.

This paper studies the design of adaptive event-triggered protocols for consensus of linear multi-agent systems (MASs) with external disturbances. Different from most of the existing results that deal with undirected graphs, this paper addresses directed graphs, specifically graphs that are assumed to be strongly connected. Inspired by a recent development [1], this paper devises novel adaptive event-triggered protocols for linear MASs with all agents subject to external disturbances. Two specific designs of composite triggering conditions are analysed and discussed. Compared with the disturbance-free case, additional constraints need to be introduced to deal with external disturbances and moreover the time-dependent terms are allowed to take any finite functions, rather than a class of L1 functions.

THE CONSUMER technology ASSOCIATION estimated that residents of the United States bought 183 million smartphones in 2016. There are already as many TVs in this country as there are people. That's a lot of electronics, and these numbers are just going up. On balance, all this technology is probably making our lives better. But there's a downside, too: The stuff often malfunctions. Unlike the 30-year-old mixer on your kitchen counter that refuses to die, new technology- especially the smart devices with fancy, embedded electronics-breaks more quickly. That trend, confirmed by a recent study by the German government, applies not just to delicate products like smartphones and tablets but also to equipment we would expect to last for a long time- like televisions, washing machines, and even tractors.

An energy-efficient adaptive control is developed for a pursuer spacecraft docking with a cooperative *** pursuer spacecraft is subject to parameter uncertainties. A six degree-of-freedom（6-DOF） nonlinear model is expressed by coupled relative attitude and orbit dynamics. In the proposed control, inverse optimality approach is applied, such that the conventional Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation can be avoided, and the controller is energy-efficient. Lyapunov theory is used to prove that the closed-loop systems are asymptotically stable despite of unknown inertial parameters. Numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of our control strategy.

Human cytochrome P450 1B1 (hCYP1B1), an extrahepatic heme-dependent monooxygenase, has been validated as a key target for overcoming chemotherapy resistance and tumorigenesis. Herein, to discover novel efficacious hCYP1B1 inhibitors, a suite of 1,8-naphthalimide derivatives was designed, synthesized, and biologically evaluated, via integrating structure-based drug design (SBDD) and biochemical assays. After two rounds of structural modifications and structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies, the results suggested that introducing a benzene ring at the north part and a halogen atom at the C-4 site significantly enhanced the anti-hCYP1B1 effects of naphthalimides. Among all tested 1,8-naphthalimides, NB-10 showed the most potent anti-hCYP1B1 effect (half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC 50 ) = 0.41 nmol/L) and excellent specificity, while this agent did not activate AhR transcription activity in living cells. Further cellular assays and in vivo tests in paclitaxel (PTX)-resistance xenograft mice showed that NB-10 could significantly potentiate the anti-cancer effects of PTX both in vitro and in vivo , while this agent also showed high safety profiles in mice. Mechanistically, NB-10 potently inhibited hCYP1B1-catalyzed 7-ethoxyresorufin O -deethylation in a competitive manner, with an estimated K i value of 0.15 nmol/L. Docking simulations showed that NB-10 could be well-fitted in the catalytic pocket of hCYP1B1 to form a stable conformation with a high binding affinity. Collectively, several potent 4-halogenated naphthalimides were developed as novel hCYP1B1 inhibitors, while NB-10 showed high safety profiles and impressive efficacy for overcoming hCYP1B1-associated PTX resistance both in vitro and in vivo .

Formation control with disturbance rejection for a class of Lipschitz nonlinear systems

In this paper, we consider the leader-follower formation control problem for general multi-agent systems with Lipschitz nonlinearity and unknown disturbances. To deal with the disturbances, a disturbance observer-based control strategy is developed for each follower. Then, a time-varying formation protocol is proposed based on the relative state of the neighbouring agents and sufficient conditions for global stability of the formation control are identified using Lyapunov method in the time domain. The proposed strategy and analysis guarantee that all signals in the closed-loop dynamics are uniformly ultimately bounded and the formation tracking errors converge to an arbitrarily small residual set. Finally, the validity of the proposed controller is demonstrated through a numerical example.

In this paper, we study a robust disturbance attenuation problem that arises when applying the Artstein–Kwon–Pearson reduction transformation for a class of uncertain Lipschitz nonlinear systems with input delay and external disturbances. A conventional predictor-based feedback controller is adopted with the control gain matrix carefully identified by solving a couple of sufficient conditions in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals are constructed to guarantee that the robust disturbance attenuation problem can be solved by the proposed controller. Cloud radio access network (C-RAN) has been proposed as a novel mobile network architecture allowing centralized processing. Resource allocation (RA) is the core task in order to coordinate transmissions. In this paper efficient resource allocation technique in non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) based C-RAN systems is proposed. The task of RA is solved by centralized solutions in a C-RAN. The problem of maximizing the weighted sum-rate of users with target quality of service (QoS) is addressed subject to various constraints. The problem is divided into sub-problems and then sub-optimal solutions are proposed. Numerical experiments show that the proposed algorithms can improve the system performance as compared to orthogonal multiple access (OMA)-based C-RAN systems.
