Aiming at issues of low accuracy and poor anti-interference ability in laser point detecting, a target detection method based on Faster R-CNN was proposed. The laser point position detecting method is realized by calibrating the laser point data set, initializing the weight coefficient and the training network model. Experiments illustrate that the proposed method is more accurate in cases of strong noise such as the light changing, the background changing and the smoke filling the air. The accuracy of the method is 98.1%, as a better detection effect and generalization ability.

Due to difficulties in observing crystal state and the high cost of crystal preparation, the teaching of the Czochralski single crystal silicon production is complex. To solve the above problem, a digital twins-inspired virtual simulation system for the growth of single crystal silicon was developed. The 3D models of the single crystal furnace, single crystal silicon rods, and other related objects were created using Blender. The nonlinear model of the single crystal silicon growth process was established based on the heat conduction during crystal growth and geometric deformation. The 3D models were then imported into the web page using ***. The PID control algorithm was used to control the temperature and pulling speed, and finally, the B/S architecture was adopted to design and implement the virtual simulation experiment system for the growth of Czochralski single crystal silicon. The virtual simulation method will help to overcome the shortcomings of on-site experiment teaching and enhance students’ understanding of the entire single crystal silicon preparation process.

In view of the problems of high energy consumption, long inventory time and low production efficiency in the production process of traditional aluminum extrusion machine, this paper establishes an efficient two-stage parallel scheduling optimization model based on the integration of flexible job shop scheduling and assembly sequence planning (IFJSS-ASP). On this basis, an evolutionary algorithm combining strong dominance relationship and simple grouping method (SDREA-SGM) is proposed. The algorithm utilizes a two-stage hybrid chromosome encoding and decoding method to establish a rational mapping from the decision space to the solution space. Furthermore, in order to prevent the model from easily falling into local optima, an adaptive intra-class and inter-class pairing selection strategy has been adopted by the algorithm. This enhances global search and improves local search ***, the feasibility and effectiveness of the algorithm are verified by solving problems of different scales. © 2024 IEEE.

There has been a direct relationship between the temperature of the laser point and the quality of the casting in the process of the 3D printing. In the paper, a method based on convolutional neural network (CNN) was proposed to estimate the temperature of the laser point. The collected temperature data used were trained by the deep-learning method. A new structure of the model was proposed on the part of the CNN model, which improved from original LeNet. The process of the prediction for the testing set was carried out through the new model. The unknown temperature in the testing set can be estimated. The experimental result illustrates that the proposed method is satisfactory.

This paper investigates the generalized projective synchronization scheme of a new fractional chaotic system, which can display a four-wing chaotic attractor when the order of system is in the range of 0.82 and ***, considering the situation with unknown parameters, an adaptive nonlinear controller is obtained for synchronization and parameters identification based on fractional-order Lyapunov stability theorem. The fractional-order adaptation law, which can update parameters estimation errors online, is derived to ensure the stability of synchronization error system. Numerical simulations are used to verify the results.

EMOST: A dual-branch hybrid network for medical image fusion via efficient model module and sparse transformer

Multimodal medical image fusion fuses images with different modalities and provides more comprehensive and integrated diagnostic information. However, current multimodal image fusion methods cannot effectively model non-local contextual feature relationships, and due to direct aggregation of the extracted features, they introduce unnecessary implicit noise into the fused images. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a novel dual-branch hybrid fusion network called EMOST for medical image fusion that combines a convolutional neural network (CNN) and a transformer. First, to extract more comprehensive feature information, an effective feature extraction module is proposed, which consists of an efficient dense block (EDB), an attention module (AM), a multiscale convolution block (MCB), and three sparse transformer blocks (STB). Meanwhile, a lightweight efficient model (EMO) is used in the feature extraction module to exploit the efficiency of the CNN with the dynamic modeling capability of the transformer. Additionally, the STB is incorporated to adaptively maintain the most useful self-attention values and remove as much redundant noise as possible by developing the top-k selection operator. Moreover, a novel feature fusion rule is designed to efficiently integrate the features. Experiments are conducted on four types of multimodal medical images. The proposed method shows higher performance than the art-of-the-state methods in terms of quantitative and qualitative evaluations. Magnetic Levitation system (MLS) is a complex nonlinear control system. The aim of MLS control is to keep the vertical position of a metal ball by adjusting the duty ratio of electromagnet voltage. Sliding mode controller achieves the robustness to unknown disturbance and uncertainty, however, its control variable chattering is an obstacle for applications. There are some traditional methods to reduce the chattering at the cost of increasing the steady state error. In this paper, we present an improved reaching law based on proportional-derivative (PD) sliding surface to reduce the chattering, at the same time, to reduce steady-state error. The simulation is performed to test the effectiveness of the proposed method. The proposed method is compared with four other controllers to show the superiority.

Forest fire detection has great practical significance in actual production and ***, many current solutions are still not reliable in practice and usually affected by many *** paper presents a forest fire detection method based on deep learning approach using aerial images taken by Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs).We train a full image fire classifier by exploiting YOLOv3, a latest fast and accurate real-time object detection algorithm using deep learning neural ***, the feature map of a certain size is obtained by feature extraction network, such as 13×*** the input image is divided into 13×13 grid ***, if the central coordinate of an object in the ground truth falls in a grid cell, the grid cell will predict the object, because each grid cell will predict a fixed number of bounding *** the largest bounding box with ground truth IOU(Intersection Over Union) is used to predict *** fire patch detector developed in this paper obtains 91% mAP(mean Average Precision) on the data sets used and the FPS(Frames Per Second) average can reach 80.

PIWI-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) are a type of small non-coding RNAs which bind with the PIWI proteins to exert biological effects in various regulatory mechanisms. A growing amount of evidence reveals that exosomal piRNAs are potential biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment of complex diseases. Effective methods for the prediction of exosomal piRNAs are the foundation of piRNA functional research. In this study, we propose an end-to-end deep network for identifying exosomal piRNAs based on features learned from natural language processing (NLP) models for sequence embedding with attention mechanism. First, a benchmark dataset is constructed by processing piRNA subcellular localization annotated data and sequence data. Moreover, bagging positive unlabeled learning is applied to get the reliable negative set. Finally, we treat a piRNA sequence as a sentence and its k-mer subsequence as a token. Sequence embedding models with self-attention mechanism is designed to extract features from exosome piRNA sequences, which are used for the prediction task. Compared with three competing methods, our model achieves the best performance and reveals the key factors of exosomal piRNA sequences by the attention mechanism. Our model characterizes exosomal piRNAs and could be beneficial for researchers to investigate exosomal piRNAs' functions. © 2022 IEEE.

Position sensors in permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) are restrained in some applications because of the space restriction and the reliability of the system. A marginalized particle filter (MPF) can used to staminate the speed of the motor by combining a Kalman filter (KF) with a particle filter (PF). In the MPF algorithm, the rotor position of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is represented by a set of particles, and the rotor speed associated with each particle is estimated by using the KF. The PF here is used to handle the non-Gaussianity and nonlinearity of the system. In this paper, the uniform distribution of particles is proposed to replace the traditional Gaussian distribution of particles in the PF to get better performance at the low-speed range. The motor drive system prototype is built using a TMS320F28335 digital signal processor as a controller core. The proposed improved PF is used in the sensorless speed vector control PMSM system. The experimental results show that the proposed PF with a uniform distribution of initial particles enables more accurate speed estimation in the low-speed range compared to the conventional Gaussian distribution, while increasing number of particles also helps to improve the accuracy.
