As a crucial auxiliary technique in inertial navigation, scene matching has been widely applied in aircraft navigation and guidance. To enhance the adaptability and efficiency of scene matching algorithms in complex environments, existing approaches have gradually shifted towards heterogeneous scene matching, such as optical/ infrared scene matching based on deep learning features, with a focus on point features. However, due to the complex and diverse nonlinear distortions between optical and infrared images, the matching accuracy often fails to meet the practical requirements of navigation and positioning. In view of this problem, an EPM-Net algorithm based on edge features is proposed to improve matching performance by extracting more stable and discriminative edge point descriptors. Experimental results on infrared datasets demonstrate that this method achieves an average matching accuracy improvement of more than four times compared to traditional and existing deep learning methods. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. The study shows that the leakage of the expansion joints in the underground heating primary pipe network will lead to the fluctuation of soil temperature and conductivity around the leakage point. Based on the online monitoring of changes of physical quantities around the expansion joint, this paper established the assessment model of temperature and conductivity as the input parameters and the degree of expansion joints leakage as the output parameters, which took the radial basis function as kernel function and made use of PSO algorithm to achieve the optimization of the kernel function parameters. Then, the temperature and conductivity were predicted based on the ARIMA model, and the LS-SVM assessment of expansion joint leakage was realized according to the prediction results. Both simulation and field experiments show that the prediction model based on ARIMA has higher accuracy, which has identified the foundation for on-line prediction and accurate assessment of the expansion joint leakage in the underground heating primary pipe network. © 2018 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose a novel regularization algorithm that is introduced as a penalty term to the loss function. Differing from conventional L1 and L2 regularization methods, our approach does not aim to diminish the weights of individual neurons or enforce sparsity by driving certain neurons to zero. Instead, it functions by increasing the differences between neurons and enhancing the diversity of neurons within each layer. Our method incorporates ensemble learning techniques by treating the layer weight matrix as a collective learning model, where each neuron serving as a weak learner within the layer. The proposed algorithm improves the performance of DCNN by simultaneously considering the distance between multiple filters in the same layer. This algorithm reduces the redundancy of the parameter layer filters in DCNN and enhances its robustness. The penalty term proposed by our algorithm dynamically adjusts its value in a cyclical manner, compelling the neural network to navigate away from its current gradient state. In the parameter space, different weights correspond to different locations. The proposed algorithm quantifies the distance between neurons and iteratively increases the distance between neurons during thereby encouraging greater diversity within the network. Experimental evaluations demonstrate the effectiveness of our algorithm in enhancing neural network performance without requiring adjustments to other hyper-parameters.

To deal with the unsatisfactory transient response of the conventional integral sliding mode control (ISMC), A nonlinear integral sliding mode controller (NISMC) is proposed in this paper, which uses a smooth nonlinear function with “small error amplification and large error saturation” property, meanwhile, takes the limited input into account. The proposed NISMC improves the transient performance, i.e., less controller chattering and less steady error. The two-tank system is usually treated as a paradigm to test the control algorithms. Five kinds of sliding-mode control methods (SMC) are used to control the two-tank liquid level to test the performance. The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed NISMC has the superior performance as compared to the comparison methods.

The three-electrode sliding dielectric barrier discharge(TES-DBD) plasma actuator significantly enhances the ionization rate and momentum exchange between charged particles and neutral particles by incorporating a parallel DC electrode into the standard DBD design. This design improves the body force and induced jet velocity while allowing flexible control of the induced jet angle, overcoming the limitations of discharge extension and uncontrollable direction in traditional DBD plasma actuators. An integrated plasma power supply has been designed specifically for TES-DBD plasma actuators, streamlining the power supply management. The methodology involves designing the circuit topology for the TES-DBD power supply, followed by simulating and validating its operating principles using Multisim software. The operational performance of the power supply is evaluated through a comprehensive analysis of its electrical,thermal, and aerodynamic properties specific to TES-DBD plasma actuation.

Dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)plasma actuators are widely used in active flow control due to their simple design and rapid ***,they need more effectiveness and discharge *** overcome these limitations,a sector-shaped dielectric barrier discharge(SS-DBD)plasma actuator with an adjustable jet angle was developed to enhance flow control *** flow field dynamics induced by the SS-DBD plasma actuator were quantitatively analyzed using particle image velocimetry(PIV).Experimental investigations showed that precise adjustments to the actuation voltage can modulate the maximum velocity of the induced ***,a quasi-linear relationship between the sector-shaped angles of the SS-DBD and the deflected jet angles was established,indicating that changes in the sector-shaped angles directly influence the direction of the deflected *** correlation enables precise control over jet angles,significantly enhancing flow control by adjusting the SS-DBD-PA's sector-shaped angle.

Massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO), with giant array size and multi-dimension array structure, has been widely considered as a key physical layer technique in future wireless communications. With regarding the large number of antenna elements, some new challenges and issues are arising, e.g. modeling the near-field effects in MIMO channel and the high computational complexity. To solve these problems, a statistical channel model is proposed based on the cluster delay line(CDL) framework. The proposed model focuses on the spherical wavefront theory, thus can be applied to the massive MIMO system. Furthermore, the map-based ray tracing algorithm with low complexity is used to compute the statistical parameters, such as pathloss, delay spread, etc., The numerical analysis results show that the proposed channel model is enable to describe the main characteristics of massive MIMO channel.

Timed weighted marked graphs are a subclass of timed Petri nets that have wide applications in the control and performance analysis of flexible manufacturing *** to the existence of multiplicities(i.e.,weights)on edges,the performance analysis and resource optimization of such graphs represent a challenging *** this paper,we develop an approach to transform a timed weighted marked graph whose initial marking is not given,into an equivalent parametric timed marked graph where the edges have unitary *** order to explore an optimal resource allocation policy for a system,an analytical method is developed for the resource optimization of timed weighted marked graphs by studying an equivalent ***,we apply the proposed method to a flexible manufacturing system and compare the results with a previous heuristic *** analysis shows that the developed approach is superior to the heuristic approach.

Traditional forest fire detection methods based on flame are subject to detection delays due to the later appearrance of flame than smoke. When the flame is detected, the fire might have already been spread and out of ***, the objective of this paper is to study new fire detection method based on smoke. First a quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) is adopted to capture the fire video;then the collected video sequence will be processed by a series of preprocessing including filtering and image enhancement;finally a new significance detection algorithm is investigated for early and efficient smoke detection. Experimental results show that the algorithm can detect smoke effectively.

To settle the problem that identifying inrush current and fault current of large transformer is difficult,a new identification method which is a combination of variational mode decomposition(VMD)and Hilbert-Huang transform(HHT)is come up ***,the inrush current and fault current signals are decomposed into multi-band intrinsic mode function(IMF)by using ***,the instantaneous frequencies of each intrinsic mode function(IMF)of inrush current and fault current are calculated respectively by Hilbert-Huang transform,so that the corresponding Hilbert spectrum is ***,the Hilbert spectra of inrush current and fault current are filtered by band-pass filter to remove the similar main lobes and some *** is concluded that the Hilbert spectra of inrush current and fault current are significantly different from each *** order to facilitate engineering application,the energy values of the first 16 sites in the Hilbert spectra of the two are taken to identify the inrush current and fault current,and the protection criteria are obtained.
