RGBD images, which refer to the three-channel color images augmented with depth channel, have been greatly exploited to improve the performance of scene semantic segmentation. RGBD semantic segmentation task is of great significance to help the development of robot navigation and grasping. However, most existing methods addressing RGBD semantic segmentation lack effective feature fusion modules. To address the aforementioned problem, we propose a novel network with two novel modules for feature fusion, namely Channel-Attention based Complementary Feature Fusion Module (CAC-FFM) and Cross-Layer Feature Fusion Module (CL-FFM). Specifically, CAC-FFM, which is essentially based on the channel-attention mechanism, effectively utilizes the complementary information of RGB and depth to generate fusion features, and CL-FFM captures patch-wise features from low-level feature maps to assist the training of high-level features so as to further optimize the segmentation results. Experimental results on the publicly available NYUDv2 dataset validate the effectiveness and superiority of our proposed method.

Fire segmentation is very important for fire rescue. It can make firefighters get the information on fire area, spread direction and so on, and then help them make quick and effective fire-fighting plan. Therefore, this paper proposes an early forest fire segmentation algorithm based on a deep learning model, named F-Unet, which mainly uses the architecture idea of Unet for reference. F-Unet consists of contraction path, feature fusion layer and expansion path. The contraction path is composed of the first 13 layers of VGG16, which is used to obtain feature maps with different scales. In order to improve the segmentation accuracy of the model, the feature fusion network proposed in this paper is added to the Unet architecture to fuse these feature maps with different scales. The expansion path is used for upsampling these feature maps to restore the size of the original input image and obtain the fire segmentation results. The experimental testing results on the FLAME dataset show that F-Unet can significantly improve the fire segmentation precision, and also prove that the proposed feature fusion network is effective to improve the performance of fire segmentation.

In order to improve the detection performance of ultra-wideband signals and obtain a higher detection signal-to-noise ratio, based on the traditional bistable stochastic resonance model, an improved stochastic resonance method is proposed to detect, analyze and compare pulse-modulated ultra-wideband signals. The simulation experiment proves that the improved stochastic resonance method has obvious effect on ultra-wideband signal detection, and is superior to traditional algorithms in terms of signal-to-noise ratio and cross-correlation coefficient.

SLAM is significant to autonomous mobile robots. In order to realize drift-free state estimation and provide accurate localization results for the subsequent navigation, we develop an optimization-based framework consisting of a high-frequency Inertial-Wheel Odometry(IWO), Visual-Inertial-Wheel Odometry(VIWO) and a global fusion module. To fuse the local state with the position provided by GNSS, we perform ternary edge in factor graph optimization to estimate the transformation between the local frame and ENU coordinate. Thanks to the tightly-coupled VIWO, the localization property of the odometry presents more robustness, and improve the accuracy of global fusion. A noise repropagation strategy is introduced to ensure the consistency of the IMU and wheel odometer. We evaluate the proposed system on public datasets and test it in real-world scenario. The experimental results show that our system achieves accurate pose estimation in outdoor environments.

In this paper, a time-fractional heat conduction model is established to describe the heat transfer process of monocrystalline silicon in the Czochralski method. The numerical solution of the fractional-order model is obtained by using implicit difference scheme. In addition, an improved grey wolf algorithm is proposed to estimate the parameters of the fractional heat conduction model using the experimental temperature data. The numerical experiment results show that the time-fractional heat conduction model has a higher explanatory ability, compared with the classical heat conduction model. The Improved Grey Wolf algorithm proposed in this paper is effective in solving the parameter estimation problem of the time-fractional heat conduction equation.

The renewable energy is connected to the power grid through power electronic converters, which are lack of make the inertia of synchronous generator/machine (SM) be lost. The increasing penetration of renewable energy in power system weakens the frequency and voltage stability. The Grid-Forming Converters(GFCs) simulate the function of synchronous motor through control method in order to improve the stability of power grid by providing inertia and stability regulation mechanism. This kind of converter control methods include virtual synchronous machine, schedulable virtual oscillator control and so on. These control method mainly use AC side state feedback and do not monitor the DC side state. This paper analyzes the control strategy of GFC considering power grid stability, including Frequency Droop control, Virtual Synchronous Machine control and dispatchable Virtual Oscillator control. The DC side voltage collapse problem is found when a large load disturbance occurs. The control methods of GFC considering DC side voltage feedback are proposed, which can ensure the synchronization characteristics of grid connection and solve the problem of DC side voltage collapse. Scene text recognition (STR) methods combined with semantic information have made great progress to recognize texts in natural scenes, most of which are daily words. However, research on mining semantic information in industrial texts attracts less attention. Since industrial texts follow a different semantic pattern defined by industry standards, it challenges many existing methods to conduct accurate semantic reasoning. In this paper, we abstract the industry standards into two aspects of prior knowledge: the grouping property and the prior lexicon. Correspondingly, a knowledge-based language model is proposed with several group-wise correlation modules and a lexicon-based reasoning module to learn semantic rules from both data and the prior knowledge. Besides, we transfer the prior knowledge into data by generating synthetic pure text datasets according to the industry standards’ rules, which introduces more prior knowledge to the language model. Furthermore, a novel STR framework is presented by combining the knowledge-based language model and an attention-based vision model. For evaluation, two industrial text datasets called CIN and SB are collected from real-world industrial field surveillance. Experiments indicate that our method’s word-level accuracy outperforms state-of-the-art methods with 15% and 10.61% on CIN and SB datasets respectively.

Simple molecular graphs or molecular line notations are insufficient for molecular representation learning models that automatically learn molecule representations to acquire deep semantic features about chemistry. Therefore, we proposed the Morgan Fingerprint Graph, a novel molecular graph model constructed with the nodes of the Morgan Fingerprint Identifier, whose nodes incorporate various properties of the atom neighborhood. Based on our Morgan Fingerprint Graph, we trained a BERT-based molecular representation model MFGB which employs a local rather than global attention module to adapt the model to the Morgan Fingerprint Graph. The attention module of MFGB regulates the exchange of information in the attention layer based on the connection information of the atoms in the molecules. To verify the effectiveness of MFGB, we selected several mainstream datasets for evaluation. The results demonstrated that our method improve the performance of molecular properties prediction. In addition, we analyzed MFGB from both the over-smoothing and the attention perspectives. The analysis indicates that the node vector representations learned from the Morgan Fingerprint Graph are generally less smoothing, and the attention distributions of MFGB match the partial charge density distribution of the molecules.

As the application of unmanned forklifts becomes more and more widespread, logistics scenarios are constantly evolving. This paper focuses on a scenario where the pick-up of pallets perpendicular to forklift in narrow aisles is required. The narrow aisles only allow the forklift to complete the turning, performing pallet localization in front of it will be difficult. We proposes a method for localizing pallets in narrow aisles for unmanned forklifts. By installing the camera at an oblique angle above the pallet, the collected images are uploaded to the image processing system. The YOLOv5 is used to detect the pallet and extract the bounding boxes of the pallet class. Based on the bounding box coordinates, the original image is cropped. Convert the cropped image to grayscale for Canny edge detection, and then perform Hough line detection to extract the right edge of the pallet. This right edge will be compared with the reference pallet edge to obtain the relative localization between the pallet and the unmanned forklift.

Influence of Si buffer layer on the crystal quality of SiGe films in Ge/Si/SiGe heterostructures: A molecular dynamics investigation

SiGe materials have become a research hotspot due to their important applications in semiconductor devices, especially in optoelectronic and high-speed electronic devices. In this study, based on molecular dynamics simulations, the influence of the Si buffer layer on the quality of films in Ge/Si/SiGe heterostructures is investigated. By simulating the growth process of the Ge/Si/SiGe heterostructure, a deposition model based on Ge(100) substrates is established. Inspired by the concept of reverse gradient buffer layers, Si buffer layers are directly grown on Ge substrates, followed by the deposition of SiGe films. This study primarily investigates the effects of the growth temperature and deposition thickness of the Si buffer layer on the quality of SiGe films. Based on the deposition parameters identified as suitable under the current simulation conditions (620 °C, 9.7 nm), the influence of the buffer layer on SiGe films with varying Ge compositions is further analyzed. The results show that the dislocations and stacking faults formed in the Si buffer layer effectively relieve the stress caused by lattice mismatch, thus improving the crystal quality of the subsequent SiGe films. This study provides theoretical insights into the Ge/Si/SiGe heterostructure film growth process, which helps enhance the quality of SiGe films and expands their applications in semiconductor devices.
