In recent years, Siamese networks which is based on appearance similarity comparison strategy has attracted great attention in visual object tracking domain due to its balanced accuracy and speed. However, most Siamese networks based tracking algorithms have not considered template updates. The fixed template may cause tracking matching error and can even cause failure of object tracking. In view of this deficiency, we proposed an algorithm based on dual templates Siamese network using difference hash algorithm to determine the template update timing. First, we kept the initial frame target with stable response map score as the base template zr, using the difference hash algorithm to determine the dynamic template zt. We analyzed the candidate targets region and the two template matching results, meanwhile the result response maps were fused, which could ensure more accurate tracking results. The experiment results on the OTB-2013 and OTB-2015 and VOT2016 datasets showed that the proposed algorithm has achieved satisfactory result. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2020.

Smart contracts are programs that run on a blockchain, where Ethereum is one of the most popular ones supporting them. Due to the fact that they are immutable, it is essential to design smart contracts bug-free before they are deployed. However, various defects have been found in the deployed smart contracts, causing huge economic losses and lowing people's trust. Writing secure smart contracts is far from trivial, where developers tend to engage in reliable resources or social coding platforms to reuse code. This leads to a large number of similar contracts with potential security risks. Therefore, detecting similarity of smart contracts helps to avoid vulnerabilities, identify threats, and improve the security of Ethereum. In this paper, we design a learning-effective and cost-efficient model, called SmartSD, for Ethereum smart contract similarity detection. Different from the current research efforts, SmartSD is performed on a bytecode level and leverages deep neural networks to learn the latent representations from the opcode sequences for smart contract bytecodes, where the representation learning and similarity measurement are supervised via siamese neural networks. The experimental evaluations demonstrate that SmartSD outperforms EClone's 93.27% accuracy, achieving 98.37% high detection accuracy and 0.9850 F1-score, which is computationally tractable and effectively mitigates the interference caused by compilers. © 2022 Knowledge Systems Institute Graduate School. The identification of drug-protein interactions (DTIs) is a critical step in drug development and repositioning. However, detecting these interactions using scientific methods presents a formidable challenge. Existing models often struggle to extract relevant information from drug-protein sequences, and they fail to consider pre-existing interactions between pairs. Here, we introduce a deep learning model, DPAG, based on attention mechanisms and graph neural networks, which overcomes these limitations. DPAG leverages information from both the drug and protein sequences, as well as the association between drug-protein pairs, to predict DTIs. We conducted multiple experiments to evaluate the performance of the model in benchmark datasets, and the results showed that DPAG achieved excellent performance in terms of AUC, AUPR, precision, and recall. Our findings suggest that DPAG holds significant potential as a promising tool for predicting DTIs in drug development and repositioning. Code is available at https://***/veresse/DPAG.

As the material basis for all life activities, proteins play a crucial role in performing life activities. Most real-life proteins perform various functions in the form of protein complexes, so it is essential for understanding of life activities to accurately identify protein complexes. Most of the existing approaches learn protein interactions directly from protein topology, ignoring the biological characteristics of the actual proteins. Nevertheless, actual protein complexes are usually composed of protein cores and protein attachments. In this study, a new MP-DE algorithm is designed from the core-attachment structure to generate protein complex cores using Markov clustering, while searching for attached proteins in the second-order neighborhood of core protein complexes based on differential evolution(DE) algorithm. The experimental results show that the proposed method has high detection accuracy and efficiency on the current mainstream protein-protein interaction(PPI) database.

In order to solve the impact of the temporal and spatial characteristics of traffic on network routing optimization, this paper proposes convolution long-short memory neural network deep reinforcement learning (CLSDRL) model for routing optimization. The CLSDRL model consists of deep deterministic policy gradients (DDPG) deep couple with convolution neural network (CNN) and long-short memory neural network (LSTM). After extracting the spatial and temporal characteristics of network traffic with CNN and LSTM, routing decisions are made with DDPG algorithm. Experiments are conducted under different load intensities, and the network performance is evaluated by the average network delay and packet loss rate, experimental results show that this method can improve significantly network performance.

Anomaly detection of time series in wireless sensor networks has gained significant attention. Researchers employ representation techniques to reduce the dimensionality of time series. The Piecewise Aggregate Pattern Representation (PAPR) method vertically divides the time series and represents as patterns. However, the computational cost of the PAPR method for anomaly detection is high. To overcome this issue, we propose a time series representation method for anomaly detection called Skeleton Pattern Representation for anomaly detection (SPR-AD). An improved Perceptually Important Point (iPIP) identification algorithm is devised to transform the subsequence into a skeleton with PIPs. Then the skeleton is divided into several equal-sized subspaces in the amplitude domain. Statistical information of the PIPs located in subspaces is constructed to represent the skeleton as a pattern. Based on the two-phase representation scheme, anomaly is determined by anomaly scores which are based on the of similarity among pattern. The experimental results demonstrate the performance of the SPR-AD method is better in terms of computational cost and detection accuracy than the PAPR method. © 2019 IEEE.

With the development of smart manufacturing in Industry 4.0, large amount of heterogeneous data are generated from multiple sources. Various data processing techniques can be applied to these data for the purpose of extracting potential information about the status of the manufacturing network. Thus, data are valuable to the analysis and adjustment of the manufacturing processes. Due to the diversity of products, assembly lines and manufacturing processes are highly dynamic. In view of the flexible deployment of wireless sensor networks, they have been widely deployed to conduct data collection. However, due to the limited radio range of a wireless sensor node, the connectivity of a highly dynamic wireless sensor network is a key issue. In this paper, we analyzed the connectivity in a wireless sensor network and accorded three types of connectivity. Then, we developed two network connectivity models from the perspective of one dimension and two dimensions. The degrees of connectivity for both two nodes and the network are elaborated. Finally, the relation between the number of sink nodes and the average degree of connectivity of the network is analyzed based on experimental results.

GLSNet: A Global Guided Local Feature Stepwise Aggregation network for polyp segmentation

Accurate polyp segmentation is of great significance for the prevention and diagnosis of early colon cancer. Transformer-based image segmentation models have been proposed for polyp segmentation with good results, however, these methods do not sufficiently consider the negative impact of background noise in different levels of features, resulting in the loss of local details. To alleviate this problem, we propose a GLSNet (A Global Guided Local Feature Stepwise Aggregation network for polyp segmentation) network, including a spatial feature enhancement (SFE) module, a globally guided local feature enhancement (GLFE) module, and a feature stepwise aggregation (FSA) module. SFE can enhance the spatial feature representation of polyps to better capture the polyp information in the features. GLFE uses high-level features to filter noise in low-level features to capture polyp information hidden in shallow features;FSA fuses the semantic and positional information of polyps across scales to obtain the final segmentation results. Qualitative and quantitative experiments were conducted on 7 benchmark datasets, and the experimental results demonstrated that GLSNet outperforms other existing methods and has stronger generalization performance. In particular, we achieved a mean Dice of 92.9% on the large-scale Kvasir dataset, and mean Dice of 81.3% and 81.6% on CVC-ColonDB and ETIS, respectively, which are significantly higher than those of the competing methods. © 2023

With the blooming development of Industry 4.0, the management of industrial processes has drawn a lot of research attention. We employed the Gaussian process regression model to predict the key indicators of an industrial process. To facilitate the description of the data characteristics in an industrial process, the kernel function is reconstructed with respect to different kinds of data. We propose a novel structure based on the Gaussian process regression model which incorporates the previously predicted values into the input data of subsequent prediction. A series of contrastive experiments are conducted on the Tennessee Eastman process simulator. Experimental results show that the proposed method possesses a higher prediction accuracy than several notable prediction methods. © 2019 IEEE.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a kind of ocular complication of diabetes, and its degree grade is an essential basis for early diagnosis of patients. Manual diagnosis is a long and expensive process with a specific risk of misdiagnosis. Computer-aided diagnosis can provide more accurate and practical treatment recommendations. In this paper, we propose a multi-view joint learning DR diagnostic model called RT2Net, which integrates the global features of fundus images and the local detailed features of vascular images to reduce the limitations of single fundus image learning. Firstly, the original image is preprocessed using operations such as contrast-limited adaptive histogram equalization, and the vascular structure of the extracted DR image is segmented. Then, the vascular image and fundus image are input into two branch networks of RT2Net for feature extraction, respectively, and the feature fusion module adaptively fuses the feature vectors’ output from the branch networks. Finally, the optimized classification model is used to identify the five categories of DR. This paper conducts extensive experiments on the public datasets EyePACS and APTOS 2019 to demonstrate the method's effectiveness. The accuracy of RT2Net on the two datasets reaches 88.2% and 85.4%, and the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) is 0.98 and 0.96, respectively. The excellent classification ability of RT2Net for DR can significantly help patients detect and treat lesions early and provide doctors with a more reliable diagnosis basis, which has significant clinical value for diagnosing DR. © 2024 The Authors
