The combination of infrared and visible images can result in the generation of a single image with a high degree of detail and important targets in a variety of scenes, which is beneficial for human recognition. However, in low-light environments, low-intensity visible images tend to blur valuable information, which is often overlooked. This results in the loss of important information. While existing methods address the issue of low illumination and highlight the illumination, a considerable amount of structural information is lost when adjusting illumination, resulting in the omission of texture details. To solve aforementioned problems, we proposes a method for edge enhancement in low-illumination scenes. This approach aims to minimise the loss of edge information while simultaneously enhancing the illumination, thereby producing fusion images with enhanced texture detail. The initial step involves the design of an illumination enhancement module, which is employed to segregate the compromised illumination present from the scene information. Given the fact that image edge information has the capacity for effective structural modeling, a low-light visible image edge extraction network is designed to model structural information, which can accurately highlight important structural information and insert it in fused images. The results produced by this method have better visual perception and minimize structural loss. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the method outperforms SOTA methods in term of visual quality and quantitative metrics.

With the rise in societal pressures, depression and anxiety have increasingly become prominent mental health conditions impacting people’s lives. To enhance the efficacy of automatic detection for these disorders, we have developed an experimental framework called the Voluntary Facial Expression Mimicry(VFEM). This framework led to the creation of the VFEM Dataset, which supports related research endeavors. Subsequently, we introduce the LI-FPN designed specifically for the automatic identification of depression and anxiety disorders. The LI-FPN comprises two core components: the Learning and Imitation Module(LIM) and the Spatio-temporal Feature Pyramid network(STFPN). Within the LIM, we leverage sequence features to facilitate comprehensive feature extraction through learning and imitation steps. The STFPN is designed to focus on outliers in multi-scale features for further screening. Compared with traditional attention methods, LI-FPN is more suitable for processing sequence data features and small sample datasets. Upon training using the VFEM Dataset, the LI-FPN achieves impressive accuracies: 0.850 for depression detection, 0.835 for anxiety detection, and 0.786 for co-occurrence detection of depression and anxiety. Meanwhile, LI-FPN also achieves SOAT results on AVEC2014 dataset. The source code for LI-FPN is accessible at https://***/muzixingyun/LI-FPN

Sidechain techniques improve blockchain scalability and interoperability, providing decentralized exchange and cross-chain collaboration solutions for Internet of Things (IoT) data across various domains. However, current state-of-the-art (SOTA) schemes for IoT multi-domain data exchange are constrained by the need for synchronous networks, hindering efficient cross-chain interactions in discontinuous networks and leading to suboptimal data exchange. In this paper, we propose AsyncSC, a novel asynchronous sidechain construction. It employs a committee to provide Cross-Blockchain as a Service (C-BaaS) for data exchange in multi-domain IoT. To fulfill the need for asynchronous and efficient data exchange, we combine the ideas of aggregate signatures and verifiable delay functions to devise a novel cryptographic primitive called delayed aggregate signature (DAS), which constructs asynchronous cross-chain proofs (ACPs) that ensure the security of cross-chain interactions. To ensure the consistency of asynchronous transactions, we propose a multilevel buffered transaction pool that guarantees the transaction sequencing. We analyze and prove the security of AsyncSC, simulate an asynchronous communication environment, and conduct a comprehensive evaluation. The results show that AsyncSC outperforms SOTA schemes, improving throughput by an average of 1.21 to 3.96 times, reducing transaction latency by 59.76% to 83.61%, and maintaining comparable resource overhead. Group recommendation involves comprehensively considering various aspects, including members and items, to predict the overall interests of a group and recommend suitable items through a recommendation system. With the rapid evolution of the Internet, online group activities have become increasingly prevalent, making group recommendation a highly discussed topic within the realm of recommendation systems. However, current research in group recommendation still confronts the following challenges. Firstly, a predominant portion of group recommendation research focuses solely on aggregating group-level information, neglecting the valuable contribution of higher-order member-level insights to group recommendation. Moreover, some aggregation strategies overly prioritize fairness, thereby disregarding common real-world patterns. Secondly, previous studies have primarily relied on aggregating individual member interests to establish group preferences, lacking a holistic consideration of group dynamics. To tackle these challenges, this study introduces an innovative approach by implementing multi-channel hypergraph convolution within the member perspective. This approach aims to effectively extract higher-order insights from members by utilizing a member information enhancement module. By establishing group interconnections based on similarity and employing an adaptive fusion network to amalgamate multiple viewpoints, a final representation is derived. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed model surpasses baseline models by 3% to 4% in terms of hit rate and accuracy, validating the efficacy of our approach.

Nowadays, real-time interactive content services have been the most dazzling sector of next-generation Internet. The high-quality perceptions of virtual scenes have given rise to the strict requirements of high bandwidth and low latency, where the edge-cloud system promises several benefits. However, there still remain prominent challenges, when taking the economical efficiency into consideration, including location-heterogeneity, context-directability, and capacity-exploitation. In this paper, we propose a location-context-capacity aware bandwidth cost economizing strategy in the edge-cloud system, i.e., LoCoCa. LoCoCa adopts server pools partition mechanism, then achieving the optimal burstable billing in each pool. Here, a location-aware graph construction and partition algorithm is designed to solve the server pools partition problem. Then an improved burstable billing optimization mechanism, with a context index and an adaptive bandwidth capacity, is also proposed to economize bandwidth costs. Finally, the realistic edge-cloud company's trace-based experimental results verify LoCoCa reduces bandwidth costs by 81.83 %, compared with the baselines.

With the increasing amount of computation in high-performance computing, the scale of interconnection networks is becoming larger and larger. It is inevitable that processors or links in the network become faulty. Therefore, it is very important for a processor to understand the security status of itself and neighbors, and then adaptively and reliably communicate. However, the existing security information models consider faulty processors or faulty links separately, and do not consider the situation where both processors and links fail simultaneously. The Exchanged Hypercube is an excellent interconnection network structure which achieves a balance between network functionality and hardware overhead while preserving many excellent properties of the Hypercube. In this paper, we propose an adaptive fault-tolerant routing algorithm of the Exchanged Hypercube based on an improved local security information model, which considers the faulty processors and faulty links simultaneously. This algorithm always can select suitable processors for routing based on the local security information and unsafe coefficients of processors, which greatly reduces the impact of the faulty of networks. The adaptive fault-tolerant routing algorithm of the Exchanged Hypercube network is not only suitable for regular networks but also for heterogeneous networks since the Exchanged Hypercube is a semi regular network. Sufficient experimental results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper has a lower packet loss rate, a higher success rate, and a shorter average path length.

In the context of Industry 4.0 and the rise of intelligent manufacturing, the quality of industrial products is becoming more and more important. Strip steel surface defect detection, as a key link in industrial production, is crucial to ensure the quality of industrial products. However, due to the irregularity of the defect scale and the inconspicuous defect features in the surface defect image of strip steel, it is difficult for the existing detection algorithms to realize the effective detection of defects. In order to better extract the features of defects and improve the network’s ability to detect defects, this paper proposes an algorithm for detecting surface defects on industrial strip steel based on receptive field and feature information supplementation. First, we design a receptive field (RF) module to replace the residual structure in the C3 module, which we name C3RF. This module can effectively increase the network’s receptive field, allowing the network to fully capture irregular defect features without increasing the cost. Second, for the characteristics that defective features are not obvious and tend to lose detail information as the network deepens, an extra information supplemental branching feature fusion pyramid (EFPN) is proposed on the basis of the original PAFPN architecture to compensate for the detail information that is lost by the fragile features in deeper layers. Finally, convolutional block attention module (CBAM) is introduced to replace the spatial pooling pyramid (SPPF) in the baseline network, which enhances the contrast between defects and backgrounds, and improves the classification and localization ability of the network. Our network achieves an accuracy of 82.2% on the publicly available strip steel defect detection dataset, which is a 4.0% improvement over the baseline. The results show that the network constructed in this paper can realize effective defect detection.

Prostate cancer is a prevalent form of cancer among men, with a high rate of occurrence but relatively lower mortality compared to other types of cancer. Early detection is crucial because it allows for earlier intervention, potentially preventing progression to more severe stages, and improving patient outcomes. However, human diagnosis is time-consuming and inefficient, an autonomous early detection system is essential for saving lives. To address this challenge, we propose a novel MoE-MRIViT framework that uses advanced machine learning and computer vision techniques to analyze MRI images and identify features indicative of prostate cancer. The system processes the data using a vision transformer to extract precise prostate cancer features from MRI scans, and uses attention mechanisms to focus on significant areas. Through the MoE-MRIViT intervention in two stages, we have achieved superior results compared to the state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods. Experimental results demonstrate that our model achieves an impressive accuracy of 94.84%, outperforming the ResNet-101 and the basic ViT models, which achieve accuracies of 89.4% and 92.31%, respectively.

Surface electromyography (sEMG) signal is a physiological electrical signal produced by muscle contraction. Different gestures can be effectively recognized from the characteristics of the sEMG signal. Currently, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been widely used in sEMG gesture recognition systems due to their capabilities in acquiring spatial features of sEMG signals. However, these classical CNNs are inefficient in extracting temporal correlation that resides in the time serials of sEMG signals, which is definitely important for gesture recognition. To overcome such a drawback of traditional CNN-based gesture recognition methods, we propose a multichannel hybrid deep learning model for gesture recognition by combining the multichannel CNNs with a gated recurrent unit (GRU). Specifically, we use multiple CNNs to preprocess the original multichannel EMG signals in a one-by-one manner to obtain the spatial features in the current observing window. The outputs of the multiple CNNs are concatenated and fed to a temporal-feature extracting module, which is designed by cascading a GRU with an attention mechanism. Through the GRU, the temporal features of successive signal frames can be established, while the attention mechanism is introduced to further focus on the key information in recognizing the gestures, which is beneficial to improve the robustness and accuracy of the model. Experiments show that the recognition accuracy of the proposed method reaches 97.6% and 96.7% on the Ninapro DB2 and Ninapro DB5 datasets, respectively. Compared with the classical CNN method, the performance improvement is 2.9% and xx% higher than that of the traditona CNN model, respectively.

This paper studies the current situation of image compression encryption and analyzes the influence of low frequency (DC coefficient) and high frequency (AC coefficient) on image structure in DCT transformation. Based on this, a novel image security protection method based on DCT compression theory and hyper-chaotic mapping is proposed. First, the position of the pixel of the original image is disturbed, and converts the image from spatial domain into frequency domain by the two-dimensional DCT transformation and quantization. Second, change the pixel values by modifying the values of the sign bit of AC coefficient and DC coefficient. At last, the encrypted image is obtained by carrying out inverse quantization, inverse transformation and reverse operation by bit.
