An Adaptive Physics-Informed Neural Network with Two-Stage Learning Strategy to Solve Partial Differential Equations

Physics-Informed Neural Network(PINN)represents a new approach to solve Partial Differential Equations(PDEs).PINNs aim to solve PDEs by integrating governing equations and the initial/boundary conditions(I/BCs)into a loss ***,the imbalance of the loss function caused by parameter settings usually makes it difficult for PINNs to converge,*** they fall into local *** other words,the presence of balanced PDE loss,initial loss and boundary loss may be critical for the *** addition,existing PINNs are not able to reveal the hidden errors caused by non-convergent boundaries and conduction errors caused by the PDE near the ***,these problems have made PINN-based methods of limited use on practical *** this paper,we propose a novel physics-informed neural network,*** adaptive physics-informed neural network with a two-stage training *** algorithm adds spatio-temporal coefficient and PDE balance parameter to the loss function,and solve PDEs using a two-stage training process:pre-training and formal *** pre-training step ensures the convergence of boundary loss,whereas the formal training process completes the solution of PDE by balancing various loss *** order to verify the performance of our method,we consider the imbalanced heat conduction and Helmholtz equations often appearing in practical *** Klein-Gordon equation,which is widely used to compare performance,reveals that our method is able to reduce the hidden *** results confirm that our algorithm can effectively and accurately solve models with unbalanced loss function,hidden errors and conduction *** codes developed in this manuscript are publicy available at https://***/callmedrcom/ATPINN.

Based on the analysis of the Cusp magnetic field suppression convection principle, the simulation model of superconducting Cusp magnetic field is built by the finite element method. In the case of satisfying the magnetic field strength of the crucible wall and giving the excitation current, the number of layers of the superconducting coil is calculated by using the established model. The influence of coil spacing, thickness of shielding thickness, horizontal distance between coil and shielding thickness and longitudinal distance on magnetic induction strength, horizontal distance and longitudinal distance between coil and the shielding are analyzed under the condition that the number of superconducting coils is constant. The influence of the force on the coil, the influence of the thickness of the shielding body on the magnetic leakage strength of the magnetic field. The simulation results show that the optimized Cusp magnetic field structure parameters can be used in the actual design. © 2018 IEEE.

To meet the demand of the laser application market for semiconductor laser function diversification, this paper proposes a handheld multi-wavelength laser stack packaging module. The 808 nm, 915 nm, and 980 nm semiconductor laser bars are selected for the integrated assembly of the multi-wavelength module. However, with the continuous increase of the optical power density of the integrated packaging module, thermal management has become a key factor affecting the performance and life of the device. In this paper, the finite element analysis method is used to analyze the influence of the arrangement of three laser stripe chips in the stacked packaging structure on the heat dissipation of the multi-wavelength module. The simulation results show that the heat dissipation efficiency of the multi-wavelength module can be improved by 13.74 % by changing the arrangement of chips. A back heat dissipation packaging structure with higher heat dissipation efficiency is proposed, and the influence of chip arrangement and working mode on the thermal characteristics of the device in the new packaging structure is simulated and analyzed. According to the simulation results, a chip arrangement that can make the heat dissipation effect of the multi-wavelength module achieve the best is determined. © 2022 Institute of Physics Publishing. In DC microgrids, current sharing and voltage regulation are two main objectives for real-time control, while the operation loss reduction is typically achieved by steady-state optimization. However, the ratio of current sharing is generally determined by the result of the centralized optimization in the classical hierarchical control framework of DC microgrids. Such an issue brings insufficient capability in respond to the changes of photovoltaic power and stored energy in the solar-powered energy systems. To handle this, this work proposes a distributed control scheme for single-bus DC microgrids. Under the proposed controller, the objectives of current sharing, bus voltage regulation and the total operation loss (converter loss and line loss) reduction can be guaranteed simultaneously. Moreover, the constraints on line currents and bus voltage are tackled as well. Finally, simulations verify the performance of the proposed control scheme. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

State-of-charge (SoC) balancing is crucial for improving the efficiency and lifetime of the battery energy storage system in near-space vehicles. In this paper, the SoC balancing control problem is investigated by a coupling battery model with electric-thermal-aging dynamics. Firstly, a system identification experiment is carried out to obtain the internal parameters of the battery. Secondly, a weight optimization index is designed by integrating the balancing speed and battery state-of-health (SoH). Then, a receding horizon control algorithm is proposed to realize multi-unit battery SoC balancing with partial swarm optimization (PSO). Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified by simulation results. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

In this paper, component parameters of the boost converter are identified online using a multiple updating recursive least squares (MURLS) algorithm. The component parameters, such as resistance, inductor inductance and capacitor capacitance, are obtained directly through the identification procedure rather than transfer function coefficients. The MURLS algorithm is applied to improve the rapidity of system identification compared to the traditional recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm, which is verified by a comparative simulation between MURLS and RLS and the simulation of a load-switching scenario. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Aiming at the high demands of temperature and precision in the aspect of additive manufacturing, a method based on CNN was proposed for estimating measurement. The network was trained through the collected laser thermal radiation images for image recognition and isotherm estimation after modeling a CNN. The experimental conclusion verifies that the isotherm detection and temperature estimation of the laser point can be efficiently implemented in proposed method. © 2020 Institute of Physics Publishing. The study primarily delves into addressing the data filtering challenge inherent in the silicon single crystal growth process by proposing a multi-sensor integrated detection approach. This approach is designed to alleviate the diminished filtering accuracy resulting from the reliance on a single sensor and the conventional Kalman filtering algorithm. By utilizing an enhanced adaptive Kalman filtering algorithm and the maximum likelihood estimation criterion to incorporate the innovation variance directly into the gain calculation of the Kalman filter, dynamic adjustment of the estimation model is achieved while interference from system noise and measurement noise is reduced. Finally, simulation-based comparative experiments between the adaptive and conventional Kalman filtering algorithms are performed. The results show that the performance of the adaptive Kalman filtering algorithm is superior to that of the conventional Kalman filtering algorithm in terms of accuracy and stability when detecting signals from multiple sensors. The research findings furnish dependable data support for refining the decision-making process in crystal growth technology, augmenting the precision and scientific integrity of crystal safety production scheduling and decision-making endeavors. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the effect of selective laser sintering technology used in 3D printing, the recursive least squares method was applied to fitting a control system model for quantification the relationship between laser power and corresponding temperature in this paper. The internal model control method is considered based on the establishing model. The controller is put into the actual 3D printing power control system for controlling the laser power. In the experiment, both internal model controller and the PID controller for the 3D printer are researched and deployed for comparing the their effects in the paper. The experimental result illustrates that the IMC based on the recursive least squares method is of effectiveness. © 2020 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.
