Driver drowsiness electroencephalogram (EEG) signal monitoring can promptly alert drivers of their drowsiness in edge-end Consumer Electronics (CE), thereby reducing the probability of traffic accidents. Graph convolutional networks (GCNs) have shown significant advancements in processing the non-stationary, time-varying, and non-Euclidean nature of EEG signals. However, the existing single-channel EEG adjacency graph construction process lacks interpretability, which hinders the ability of GCNs to effectively extract adjacency graph features, thus affecting the performance of drowsiness monitoring. To address this issue, we propose an edge-end Lightweight Dual Graph Convolutional Network (LDGCN). Specifically, we are the first to incorporate neurophysiological knowledge to design a Baseline Drowsiness Status Adjacency Graph (BDSAG), which characterizes driver drowsiness status. Additionally, to express more features within limited EEG data, we introduce the Augmented Graph-level Module (AGM). This module captures global and local information at the graph level, ensuring that BDSAG features remain intact while enhancing effective feature expression capability. To further enhance the application of CE, we apply Adaptive Pruning Optimization (APO) to the channels and neurons of LDGCN, which nearly halves the inference latency. Experiments on benchmark datasets demonstrate that LDGCN offers the best trade-off between monitoring performance and hardware resource utilization, outperforming existing state-of-the-art algorithms. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

As the deadliest form of pollution, air pollution had a prolonged severe damage to the human health and life safety of nearly 99% of the world's population. Facing to the problem that billions of tons of pollutants discharged into the air per year by industrial activities, this paper proposed a novel image-based air pollution monitor (IAPM) by incorporating local and global information in the self-adaptive multiscale transform domain, so as to achieve the timely and effective leakage detection of typical air pollutants from a single image. To be specific, this paper first developed a screen-shaped module according to two significant findings in visual neuroscience, which include the high sensitivity of human eyes to horizontal and vertical stimuli and the center-surround inhibition, by designing and fusing the square module, horizontal strip module and vertical strip module parallelly for simulating the behaviour of human eyes to extract local features. Second, the learnable weights and proportional mapping were applied to incorporate the screen-shaped module and lightweight vision transformer as backbone, towards more richly exploiting and fusing local and global information just as the way a brain perceives external stimuli. Third, a new self-adaptive multiscale transform domain method was devised based on two motivations from the visual characteristics of multiscale perception and the brain characteristics of self-adaptive domain transform to modify the backbone by using the operations of pooling and pointwise convolution. Extensive experiments implemented on the datasets of carbon particulate matters and ethylene leakage confirmed the superior monitoring performance of the proposed IAPM model beyond the state-of-the-art (SOTA) peers by an accuracy gain of about 4%. Furthermore, the proposed IAPM model only required 0.089 GFLOPs and 0.15 million model parameters, remarkably outperforming SOTA competitors in computational efficiency and storage resources. © 1999-2

Influence of Si Buffer Layer on the Crystal Quality of SiGe Films in Ge/Si/SiGe Heterostructures: A Molecular Dynamics Investigation

SiGe materials have become a research hotspot due to their important applications in semiconductor devices, especially in optoelectronic and high-speed electronic devices. In this study, based on molecular dynamics simulations, the influence of the Si buffer layer on the quality of films in Ge/Si/SiGe heterostructures is investigated. By simulating the growth process of the Ge/Si/SiGe heterostructure, a deposition model based on Ge(100) substrates is established. Inspired by the concept of reverse gradient buffer layers, Si buffer layers are directly grown on Ge substrates, followed by the deposition of SiGe films. This study primarily investigates the effects of the growth temperature and deposition thickness of the Si buffer layer on the quality of SiGe films. Based on the deposition parameters identified as suitable under the current simulation conditions (620 °C, 9.7 nm), the influence of the buffer layer on SiGe films with varying Ge compositions is further analyzed. The results show that the dislocations and stacking faults formed in the Si buffer layer effectively relieve the stress caused by lattice mismatch, thus improving the crystal quality of the subsequent SiGe films. This study provides theoretical insights into the Ge/Si/SiGe heterostructure film growth process, which helps enhance the quality of SiGe films and expands their applications in semiconductor devices.

To solve the problem of low performance of network intrusion detection,a deep learning intrusion detection model based on space-time fusion features and attention mechanism—CLT-net is *** this model,space-time fusion features are obtained by integrating convolutional neural network and long short-time memory network,and attention module is added to calculate the importance of the input features,and softmax function is used for *** a large number of simulation experiments on NSL-KDD data sets,CLT-net has significantly improved the convergence of the training set and the accuracy of the test *** with the traditional CNN model with similar structure and the space-time fusion CLSTM the accuracy of the model increased by 11.8% and 10.9%*** shows that this model has great potential in the application field of network intrusion detection.

Nonlinear system identification is one of the most important topics all over the word. Until now, there are many of off-line identification methods which exhibit well performance. The online approach with non-Gaussian noise, however, is still a challenge. For a class of nonlinear systems where all of the candidate parameters are contained in a definite parameter set, an online parameters and sates estimation method is proposed based on particle filter and Bayes theorem as the following steps. Firstly, regarding all of the candidates, the states are estimated by particle filter(PF) algorithm. Secondly the posterior probabilities of all of candidates are calculated according to the Bayes theorem;then the weights of all of the candidates are obtained through normalization. Lastly, the parameters and sates are estimated ultimately according to the weighted sum of all of the candidates and states. Numerical illustrations are presented to exhibit the application of the method proposed herein, and the performance of the method is examined.

In this paper, a method for a sort of nonlinear system identification with stochastic time-varying parameter is investigated. This kind of nonlinear systems is referring to the system where probability density functions(PDFs) of the parameters are known. This parameter identification and states estimation method is realized based on expectation maximization(EM) algorithm and particle filter. Firstly, parameter particles are generated randomly according to the PDF of parameter. Secondly, the particle filter is employed to estimate system states corresponding to each group of the parameters, and the weight of each group parameters is calculated according to the Bayesian theory. Then the new iteration of parameter is obtained by adopting the expectation maximization algorithm. Lastly, the real parameters are obtained along with system operation. Numerical illustrations are presented to exhibit the effectiveness of the method proposed herein, and the performance of the method is examined.

Railway point machines(RPMS) are one of the key equipments in the railway system to switch different routes for the *** monitoring for RPMs is a vital measure to keep train operation safe and *** convenience and low cost into consideration, a novel intelligent condition monitoring method for RPMs based on sound analysis is ***-domain and frequency-domain features are obtained,and normalized using z-score standardization method to eliminate the influences of different *** particle swarm optimization(BPSO) is utilized to select the most significant discrimination feature *** effects of the selected optimal features are verified using Support vector machine(SVM), 1-Nearest neighbor(1 NN), Random forest(RF), and Naive Bayes(NB).Experiment results indicate SVM performs best on identification accuracy and computing cost compared with the other three *** identification accuracies on normal switching and reverse switching processes reach100% and 99.67%, respectively, indicating the feasibility of the proposed method.

In this paper, within the prescribed performance control framework, we revisit the output tracking problem of a nonlinear system with input saturation, user-specified performance and external disturbances. To handle the intrinsic conflict between actuator saturation and performance requirements, we introduce a novel auxiliary system, which is driven by an artificial saturation nonlinearity, to generate modification signals for relaxing the prescribed performance functions. To further alleviate the adverse effects caused by actuator saturation, we incorporate a new performance-based anti-windup compensator into the control framework. In particular, the auxiliary system is designed to adjust the external performance requirements, and the anti-windup compensator is used for improving the internal saturation handling capability. Moreover, we employ a predetermined weighting coefficient to balance between the auxiliary system and the anti-windup compensator for better control performance. To deal with external disturbances, we construct a series of disturbance observers. With the help of dynamic surface control strategies, we develop a state-feedback control law. Theoretical analysis establishes the boundedness of all signals. Finally, an academic example and a tunnel diode circuit system are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of our control strategy. © 2004-2012 IEEE.
