Dynamic modeling of the electrical actuation system of the hypersonic aircraft considering the temperature effects

The electrical actuator is usually used in the navigation and control system of the hypersonic aircraft, and it can be described by a multi-body dynamical system, which contains brushless motor, gear pairs, ball screw, folk, rudder, etc. For such a complex multi-body system, it may contain clearance between the mating components, such as the gear pairs, the nut of the ball screw and the folk. Additionally, the discontinuous friction force is introduced due to the friction sheet between the folk and the rudder shaft. Since the working temperature of the electrical actuator for the hypersonic aircraft can be extremely high and time-varying, the stiffness, clearance and friction coefficient will also change during the maneuvering flight of the hypersonic aircraft. In this paper, the ordinary differential equations of each subsystem of the electrical actuation system for the hypersonic aircraft will be developed. The continuous and discontinuous interaction forces between the mating components will be derived. The temperature effects will be considered such that the stiffness, clearance and the friction coefficient of such an actuation system are in the function of the working temperature. The dynamic responses of such an electrical actuation system for different working temperatures will be compared based on the numerical simulations, which shows the evidence that the temperature can reduce the transmission ratio of such a system, as well as affecting the system flutter behavior, through changing the contact position of the adjacent meshing components. © shanghai Jiao Tong University 2024.

Flexible, Super-stable, and Multifunctional Capacitive Pressure Sensors with Tilted Micropillar Array by Inclined Laser Ablation and Demolding

Flexible capacitive pressure sensors have garnered considerable interest across diverse applications, including medical monitoring, electronic skin, and robotic tactile systems, owing to their straightforward fabrication process, low energy consumption, and robust stability. In this paper, we introduce a new inclined laser ablation (ILA) combined with demolding technique for the fabrication of flexible capacitive sensors featuring a microstructured dielectric layer composed of a tilted micropillar array (TMA). The design parameters of TMA were systematically optimized, including the tilt angle of the micropillars, array gap, aspect ratio, and bottom film thickness. The resulting capacitive pressure sensor, equipped with 75° tilted micropillar arrays (aspect ratio of 5:1), demonstrates exceptional sensitivity (1.12 kPa-1) within the low-pressure range (0-2 kPa), rapid response and recovery times, a low pressure detection limit of 0.25 Pa, and transient response stability factor as high as 243.9. The proposed capacitive pressure sensor was validated for the detection and recognition of human motions when attached to various body parts. Additionally, the sensors also demonstrated significant potential for diverse applications, including tactile sensing, and Morse code communication. © 2025 IEEE.

Two-dimensional (2D) material photodetector based on semi-floating gate (SFG) structure is expected to achieve multiple functions of information sensing, storage, and processing in a single device. Here, we demonstrated a terahertz (THz) detector based on the graphene/h-BN/graphene SFG structure. The device exhibits an excellent memory behavior and a gate-controlled non-volatile and multistate photothermoelectric (PTE) THz response. A theoretical model is established to systematically investigate the memory and PTE response characteristics, and the numerical results are well consistent with the experimental results. Our research provides valuable insights into the complex optoelectronic behavior of 2D material Semi-Floating-Gate Graphene Field-Effect Transistors (SFG-FETs) and paves the way for the realization of multifunctional photodetectors based on SFG-FET structures. © 2025 Optica Publishing Group under the terms of the Optica Open Access Publishing Agreement.

Data-driven Wasserstein distributionally robust chance-constrained optimization for crude oil scheduling under uncertainty

Crude oil scheduling optimization is an effective method to enhance the economic benefits of oil *** uncertainties,including uncertain demands of crude distillation units(CDUs),might make the production plans made by the traditional deterministic optimization models infeasible.A data-driven Wasserstein distributionally robust chance-constrained(WDRCC)optimization approach is proposed in this paper to deal with demand uncertainty in crude oil ***,a new deterministic crude oil scheduling optimization model is developed as the basis of this *** Wasserstein distance is then used to build ambiguity sets from historical data to describe the possible realizations of probability distributions of uncertain demands.A cross-validation method is advanced to choose suitable radii for these ambiguity *** deterministic model is reformulated as a WDRCC optimization model for crude oil scheduling to guarantee the demand constraints hold with a desired high probability even in the worst situation in ambiguity *** proposed WDRCC model is transferred into an equivalent conditional value-at-risk representation and further derived as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming *** case studies from a real-world refinery are conducted to show the effectiveness of the proposed ***-of-sample tests demonstrate that the solution of the WDRCC model is more robust than those of the deterministic model and the chance-constrained model.

Presently,photocatalytic degradation has emerged as an attractive and efficient technology for wastewater *** order to avoid hurdles,such as difficulty in the suspended photocatalyst segregation from the aqueous system and low reutilization rate,the strategy of immobilizing photocatalysts with electro-spun fibers has been widely ***,those methods usually require multi-step preparation and complex *** this,a novel metallic Bi-decorated flexible multiphase Bi_(x)Ti_(y)O_(z)/TiO_(2) electrospun carbon nanofibers(Bi/Bi_(x)Ti_(y)O_(z)-TiO_(2)/CNFs)with high photocatalytic efficiency,good mechanical property,good stability,easy separation,and recovery were synthesized via a one-step approach of pre-oxidation and carbonization *** as-prepared Bi/Bi_(x)Ti_(y)O_(z)-TiO_(2)/CNFs with multiphase Bi_(x)Ti_(y)O_(z),anatase TiO_(2),and metallic Bi particles embedded not only enhance the harvest of light but also pro-vide more separation paths for photogenerated carriers,which improve photocatalytic efficiency *** Bi/Bi_(x)Ti_(y)O_(z)-TiO_(2)/CNFs(S3)exhibited excellent photocatalytic performance and the degradation rate of 10 mg L^(-1) Rhodamine B(RhB)was up to 97%in only 30 min under simulated sunlight ***,S3 exhibited stable activity during 5 cycles of experiments since the degradation rates remained at about 97%in 30 *** mechanism of degradation of RhB by Bi/Bi_(x)Ti_(y)O_(z)-TiO_(2)/CNFs in the photocat-alytic process was also proposed based on active species trapping *** work in this paper shows that Bi/Bi_(x)Ti_(y)O_(z)-TiO_(2)/CNFs are easy to prepare and have high photocatalytic ability and stability,thereby offering a new strategy in catalyst immobilization and wastewater treatment.

Supplier selection is an important business activity in order to realize the purchasing function in supply chain *** supplier selection process includes four stages,i.e.,bidding inviting,bidding,group decision-making,and results disclosure,involving the participation of manufacturing service demanders(MSDs),manufacturing service suppliers(MSSs),and ***,all the participants have raised concerns about the increased transparency in supplier ***,this study proposes a transparent supplier selection method by considering the engagement of *** this method,the Bayesian best-worst method(Bayesian BWM)is used to aggregate decision-makers'preferences into the overall optimal weights of the alternative MSSs,and the MSS with the largest weight is considered the suitable MSS for ***,blockchain is introduced to record the decision-making process information about supplier selection through a customized smart contract,where MSSs act as supervisors to supervise the decision-making process through the distributed consensus mechanism rather than directly participate in the decision-making ***,a case study of supplier selection in purchasing vibration acceleration sensors is *** result shows that the proposed method can support MSDs in selecting suitable MSS from alternative MSSs by aggregating decision-makers'preferences,and blockchain can provide credible information about the supplier selection process for MSSs,MSDs,and *** this way,the transparency of supplier selection is enhanced.

Color filters in different surroundings inherently suffer from angular sensitivity,which hinders their practical ***,we present an angle-insensitive plasmonic filter that can produce different color responses to different surrounding *** color filters are based on a two-dimensional periodically and randomly distributed silver nanodisk array on a silica *** proposed plasmonic color filters not only produce bright colors by altering the diameter of the Ag nanodisk,but also achieve continuous color palettes by changing the surrounding *** to the weak coupling between the metallic nanodisks,the plasmonic color filters can enable good incident angle-insensitive properties(up to 30°).The strategy presented here could exhibit robust and promising applicability in anti-counterfeiting and imaging technologies.

CO_(2)-based carbon-neutral organics production processes could potentially reshape the chemical ***,their feasibility and net carbon footprint rely strongly on the sources of H_(2).Herein,we present a comprehensive comparative techno-economic analysis of CO_(2)-based methanol(CO_(2)TM)and aolefins(CO_(2)TO)manufacturing using various feedstock supply modes:(1)the standalone mode with external CO_(2)but H_(2)from on-site water electrolysis,(2)the integrated mode with both CO_(2)and H_(2)recovered from coal-chemical plants,and(3)the integrated mode with recycled CO_(2)but H_(2)from on-site water *** integration of CO_(2)TM and CO_(2)TO into coal-to-olefins(CTO)and coal-to-methanol(CTM)facilities is currently cost-effective and can reduce net CO_(2)emissions by 65.7%and 68.5%,resulting in a three-fold and two-fold increase in carbon efficiency,*** carbon tax policies and electrolysis technologies continue to evolve,standalone CO_(2)TM and CO_(2)TO are projected to become more economically competitive than CTO and CTM by 2035-2045.

Closed-loop scheduling optimization strategy based on particle swarm optimization with niche technology and soft sensor method of attributes-applied to gasoline blending process

Gasoline blending scheduling optimization can bring significant economic and efficient benefits to ***,the optimization model is complex and difficult to build,which is a typical mixed integer nonlinear programming(MINLP)*** the large scale of the MINLP model,in order to improve the efficiency of the solution,the mixed integer linear programming-nonlinear programming(MILP-NLP)strategy is used to solve the *** paper uses the linear blending rules plus the blending effect correction to build the gasoline blending model,and a relaxed MILP model is constructed on this *** particle swarm optimization algorithm with niche technology(NPSO)is proposed to optimize the solution,and the high-precision soft-sensor method is used to calculate the deviation of gasoline attributes,the blending effect is dynamically corrected to ensure the accuracy of the blending effect and optimization results,thus forming a prediction-verification-reprediction closed-loop scheduling optimization strategy suitable for engineering *** optimization result of the MILP model provides a good initial *** fixing the integer variables to the MILPoptimal value,the approximate MINLP optimal solution can be obtained through a NLP *** above solution strategy has been successfully applied to the actual gasoline production case of a refinery(3.5 million tons per year),and the results show that the strategy is effective and *** optimization results based on the closed-loop scheduling optimization strategy have higher *** with the standard particle swarm optimization algorithm,NPSO algorithm improves the optimization ability and efficiency to a certain extent,effectively reduces the blending cost while ensuring the convergence speed.
