Modeling and verifying of grid computing based on FSM

Many applications of grid computing are appearing to solve a scientific or technical problem by shaping and coordinating computational services across the network. The dynamic and complex interaction of grid computing has been a big challenge in guaranteeing the reliability of services behaviors. This paper focuses on the behavioral correctness of grid computing. In order to unify the expression of grid computing behaviors, we introduce the BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation) to formally describe the interactions in a visualization way with the basic business process concepts, which creates a standardized bridge for the gap between the business process logic design and implementation. Then we translate BPMN to an extended FSM (Finite-State Machine) automaton. Furthermore, the safety and liveness properties of behavioral requirements are expressed as LTL (Linear Temporal Logic) formulae according to coverage criterions. After that, LTL formulae are automatically verified in model checker tool SMV (Symbolic Model Checker). Finally, the experimental results are discussed. In conclusion, our method affords an underlying guideline for modeling and verifying grid computing.

software testing is a difficult task and testing Web applications may be more difficult, due to their characteristics. Web application is an interactive one since it came into being. How to model and test Web interactions is a challenge in software engineering. Web navigation models are useful to clarify requirements and specify implementation behaviors. Web frameset and Web browser's interactions are wildly used in today's Web applications. The behaviors of Web frameset and Web browser interactions changed the traditional Web navigation and influence the functionalities of Web applications. In this study, we took Web frameset and Web browser's interactions into account and proposed an approach to modeling the Web application's navigation and generating tests with Web framesets and browser's interactions. The construction formal semantics of structure compositionof Web frameset is give out. Based on the formal semantics, the Web navigation with Web framesets is modeled. The Extended Browser Loading Model with Web frameset (EBLM) and the extended FSMis employed to formalize the navigation models with Web framesets and browser's interactions andaFSM Test-Tree (FSM-TT) is constructed using present construction algorithm. At last, test generation is given out which satisfies the corresponding coverage criteria. This study resolves the following research problems: (1) propose an approach tomodeling Web applications with Web framesets and Web browser's interactions, (2) give the formal construction semantics of Web frameset and (3) formalize the navigation model and generatingtests. © 2011 Asian Network for Scientific Information.

An approach to analyzing time constrained service composition

Service composition is widely applied in different applications. One key issue is how to model and analyze time-related properties for service composition. A model called service composition time-constrained Petri Net (SCTNet) is proposed in the paper, which is capable of capturing time behavior of services accurately. The basic relationships, priority and preemption between services are characterized, meanwhile the transaction properties of service are also considered. In order to reduce the state space of model, we propose four simplification schemas which can maintain structural feature and time delay of SCT-Net, a theorem is given to explain the rational of simplification schemas. We present the concept of the greatest concurrent set and analyze the consistency of overtime handling based on the state space of the model. Finally, a heuristic algorithm for schedule computation is created and the experiments are given to explain the feasibility of our method. © 2011 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

In the heterogeneous and open networks, reputation can help users to make a decision about whether or not to have a transaction with other entities. The feedback data used to evaluate the reputation always comes from different entities in different systems and is expressed in different forms. The variety of forms will increase difficulty of the integrated evaluation. This paper first introduces the different express forms of the reputation, and then gives a detail description about how to translate the feedback reputation information using different form into fuzzy form, and evaluates the integrated reputation based on fuzzy number of fuzzy set theory. The data shows that fuzzy form is more accordant with the definition and evaluation of the reputation, and the methods based on fuzzy set is convenient for the entities to predict the behavior of the object entities. © 2011 Binary Information Press.

Verifiable reputation management scheme based on RSA threshold secret sharing in P2P networks

In this paper we propose an innovative verifiable reputation management scheme based on RSA threshold secret sharing in P2P networks. This scheme employs RSA threshold secret sharing theory to realize management of the reputation information. The dealer divides reputation information into n secret shadows and distributes them to n different participants. The reputation information can be reconstructed by any t or more participants, and cannot be done by any fewer than t participants. The dealer also distributes the validation shadows corresponding to the secret shadows to the participants at the same time. Any unlawful participant arguing itself holding secret shadow or rightful participant offering false secret shadow will be recognized for its unable to break through RSA cryptography, so the scheme is secure and verifiable. © 2005 by Binary Information Press.

With the development of information technology, a large number of software products enter the maintenance phase. The maintainability of software products continues to attract people's attention. This paper proposes a new synthetic maintainability evaluation model basing on fuzzy entropy theory. In the model, the weight of different indexes is calculated by combining the entropy weight and expert weight. The entropy weight can be obtained through measuring the difference of membership degree of the index which reflects the consistency of the expert opinion. The evaluation result is more objective and reasonable. It provides a guideline to design a software product with high maintainability. © 2010 IEEE.

This paper studies online quality measurement in cloud computing environment. The paper analyzes concentration measure evaluation method of the current software quality evaluation system. As is known to all, the existing evaluation technology uses concentrated evaluation before run-time. By testing and analyzing results, the quality is obtained. In this paper, by analyzing the features in cloud computing environment, we consider that service-oriented evaluation should be mainly based on runtime online measurement. The paper puts forward agent-based online measure infrastructure, which is evaluated by distributed assessment in service computing environment A quality model and corresponding online data collection strategy are described. In this approach, the previous quality evaluation, which is concentrated and simulating in a simulated environment, is substituted. Then, a novel measure method of quality data acquisition, which is based on distributed agent technology, is established. So, during online service operation, the obtained data can make measurement results to be accurate and credible. © 2010 IEEE.

In service oriented cloud, in order to meet the different users' service requirements, the cloud venders need to manage the service applications' deployment effectively first. During the deployment process, the deployment costs and the influence of service deployment to the cloud are very important issues to be paid attention to, which lacks in current research. In this paper, we design a novel optimization approach for service deployment to address above issues, which works in a service deployment framework. The approach can improve the deployment efficiency and reduce the deployment costs. Atom-services, the basic units of service application, are partitioned to different service families with its compatibility and installation policy. We present three algorithms to automatically standardize the installation expressions, simplify and optimize the installation expression series during the service deployment process respectively. An analysis about the service deployment result is given in the paper and the experiment data demonstrates the approach's efficiency. © 2010 IEEE.

Lots of collaborative works are developed by workflow at present. The modeling of workflow is mainly by Petri Net. This paper studies the test coverage of collaborative workflow system to improve the system quality. By analyzing many Petri-Net models, the paper puts forward generic advance Petri Net model. And other workflow Petri Net models can be compatible with the generic Petri Net. Then test coverage strategy is considered and test case is designed according to the strategy. This method not only can meet the requirement of test coverage, but also can assist test case design and further execution of test case. Finally, a typical example is introduced to illustrate effectiveness of this method in collaborative workflow application. © 2010 IEEE.
