Service composition is an important means for integrating the individual Web services for creating new value added systems. However, Web service runs in the heterogeneous environments on the Internet, it is difficult to guarantee the reliability of service composition. To address this problem, we propose a systematic method to model and analyze reliability for service composition. First, we present a formal description language to model the different components of service composition, and use it to analyze the reliability of service composition. Second, we propose reliability assurance strategy to ensure that service composition dynamically meet the required reliability. Third, we present operational semantics and related theories of Petri nets for establishing the correctness of our proposed method. We have also performed a series of simulations to evaluate our proposed approach. Results show that the method can help reveal the structural and behavioral characteristics of service composition, and improve the reliability of service composition. © 2014 IEEE.

Regression testing is a hot research area for Web service composition, which has direct impact on QoS of applications. This paper proposes an aspect-oriented regression test technique for analyzing functionalities of service composition. An extended version of Petri net is proposed as the underlying formalism. Services and components are modeled by Petri nets, service evolution is specified as crosscutting concerns, and in turn woven into the testing model of service composition by following weaving rules. A regression testing algorithm of service composition is designed. Theories of Petri nets help prove the effectiveness of the testing method. A case study shows that the approach simplifies the process of testing, and improves its efficiency as well.

Reputation is a key factor to enhance reliability and performance of transactions in the network. Many works have focused on rating the reputation of the entities through kinds of technologies. The entities send the request messages about reputation to other entities when they need the reputation of the target entities. Considering the nodes population is highly transient in open network, and the number of requests and responses are also various, this paper builds up a model about propagation of reputation query request. It reveals relationship of query request times, connect rate and response rate. It is a valuable reference to set the scope of TTL in Gnutella. Through reducing the number of query requests, it's significant to efficiently solve the problems about bottleneck of bandwidth and denial of service attacks. © 2010 IEEE.

Nowadays, with the prevalence of Web applications, more and more services and information are available over the Internet while their correctness, security and reliability are often crucial to the success of business and organizations. Web testing is one of the methods to ensure the Web security. However, due to the special characters of Web applications, traditional testing methods are not suitable for Web testing in many aspects. A typical Web application consists of two tiers: the client, the server. Most existing works consider Web applications testing from an external or a user's view, not taken the interactions and the behaviors of the server side into account. In this paper, special care on the interactions and the behaviors of server side is paid, and an approach to model composition and testing Web applications is proposed. FSMs are used to model Web applications from the user's side, and the server's side, respectively. Then, synchronous product was employed as a tool to construct a composition of FSMs. Finally, based on the composition of FSM, test generation is given out which satisfies the corresponding coverage criteria. © 2011 IEEE.

In recent years, the demand for arithmetic power from all walks of life is growing, especially the increasing popularity of AIGC, which makes people realize that huge technological progress cannot be made without the support of large arithmetic power. Quantum computing may bring a leap in computing power and become a 'trigger' and 'catalyst' to accelerate the development of science and technology innovation, and its technical development trend and application prospects have become a hot issue of concern, and quantum simulators are a very important part of the development process. The development of quantum simulators is a very important part of the process. However, due to the lack of systematic evaluation theories and methods, it is difficult to quantify and analyze the quality of the increasing number of simulators on the market, which may hinder researchers from practicing their quantum algorithms objectively or developing quantum technologies. For these reasons, this paper proposes a quality model for quantum simulator software, which reflects the quality characteristics of simulators in seven aspects, such as functionality and performance efficiency, and selects some simulators for experimental validation of the proposed model to prove its rationality. © 2023 IEEE.

Biogeography based Optimization (BBO) is a new evolutionary optimization algorithm based on the science of biogeography for global optimization. However, its direct-copying-based migration and random mutation operators make it easily possess local exploitation ability. To enhance the performance of BBO, we propose an improved BBO algorithm called imBBO. A hybrid migration operation is designed to further improve the population diversity and enhance the algorithm exploration ability. Empirical results demonstrate that our imBBO effectively gains the high optimization performance by comparing with the original BBO and three BBO variants for 23 out of 30 CEC’2017 benchmarks. Moreover, our imBBO presents a faster convergence speed. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The rapid development of data analyze needs high data quality requirements. The data quality also determine the software quality. This paper proposes a test data deisgn method for evaluating data quality. The paper analyzes the data quality requirement model of typical software applications, considering the typical data quilty problem or issus. According to different evaluation characteristics, the paper proposes a test data method for quality evalaution related to data requirement. The paper also gives detailed for data design to fulfill the evlauation requirements. The method is used to test some data set and found some data issues in actual application databases.

Information diffusion prediction is the basis of many fundamental tasks, such as social recommendation and community detection. Currently, most researchers infer user correlation based on cascade records to predict future infected users. However, they only consider whether the infected users at each location are correctly predicted, ignoring the semantic differences between users who participate in the retweets of similar content and other users. This naturally leads to learning biased user features. In this paper, we compute semantic relevance between two different cascades (e.g., cm and cn) based on user coincidence and develop the cascade correlation graph (CCG) to learn user features. Afterward, we devise a position-independent sequence similarity loss (SSL) function combined with an auxiliary predictor to optimize the user encoder. The above two methods make users participating in the relevant cascades more relevant than others. Experiments show that the two methods are effective, and the combination of them can improve performance more significantly. © 2022 IEEE.

With the development of next-generation sequencing technology, massive genomic data has been generated, primarily encouraging research on cancer driver genes. Many bioinformatics methods were proposed to identify driver genes. However, the results of driver gene identification a mong these methods show considerable differences. It is still challenging to obtain a comprehensive catalog of cancer drivers. Although current methods have greatly promoted the development of driver genes, few methods can integrate the identification results of existing methods. To solve such problems in cancer driver genes research, we proposed a cascade forest model to discover cancer driver genes(CFC) that can integrate multi-omics data and annotation scores from different cancer driver gene identification algorithms. The proposed method got precise results for 33 cancer types and Pan-cancer. The CFC framework identified 275 driver genes in Pan-cancer, of which 179 were included in the Gold standard. The identified genes were enriched i n t he principal cancer signaling pathways. © 2022 IEEE.

The development of digital content industry needs the support of the online 3D model library. The construction of efficient interaction, stable and reliable model library is the trend of industry. In this paper, we design a web 3D model library system based on the Amazon cloud service platform. It adopted model simplification, model size adaption methods to make the system more efficient interaction. Meanwhile, cloud-based architecture ensured the reliability and scalability of the system. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
