Face anti-spoofing (FAS) based on domain generalization (DG) has been recently studied to improve the generalization on unseen scenarios. Previous methods typically rely on domain labels to align the distribution of each domain for learning domain-invariant representations. However, artificial domain labels are coarse-grained and subjective, which cannot reflect real domain distributions accurately. Besides, such domain-aware methods focus on domain-level alignment, which is not fine-grained enough to ensure that learned representations are insensitive to domain styles. To address these issues, we propose a novel perspective for DG FAS that aligns features on the instance level without the need for domain labels. Specifically, Instance-Aware Domain Generalization framework is proposed to learn the generalizable feature by weakening the features' sensitivity to instance-specific styles. Concretely, we propose Asymmetric Instance Adaptive Whitening to adaptively eliminate the style-sensitive feature correlation, boosting the generalization. Moreover, Dynamic Kernel Generator and Categorical Style Assembly are proposed to first extract the instance-specific features and then generate the style-diversified features with large style shifts, respectively, further facilitating the learning of style-insensitive features. Extensive experiments and analysis demonstrate the superiority of our method over state-of-the-art competitors. Code will be publicly available at this link. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on human society. It has highlighted the need for faster diagnostic methods. Research has shown that combining semantic segmentation with traditional medical approaches can significantly accelerate the process. To address this, leveraging COVID-19 CT images, our team designs a revolutionary semantic segmentation model called Level of Detail Enhancement U-Net (LDE-UNet), which shows the lesion area on CT images. By introducing the LDE block, the model has the unique advantage of overcoming the loss of data details during the downsampling process by emphasizing and transmitting details at the same level. Our SOTA model outperforms the second-best model by at least 0.7% in the most critical indicator precision. Compared with other models, LDE-UNet’s strong reliability determines its ability to be used in the medical field to accelerate the localization and division of lesion areas on CT images by professional doctors, thus completing patient diagnosis faster. In addition, we also propose a standardized method for processing medical images.

Cloud computing has attracted much interest recently from both industry and academic. However, it is difficult to model and analyze cost and utilization based task scheduling due to complex and heterogeneous environment in cloud computing. In this paper, we propose the systematic approach to modeling and analyzing cost and utilization based task scheduling for cloud application. A Game theory based task scheduling scheme is proposed based on analyzing the factors affecting the cost and utilization of virtual machine. Then a formal description language is presented to model the different components of cloud application. The backward induction game algorithm is proposed to ensure that cloud application can dynamically meet the customers' request while improving the utilization of virtual machine. The operational semantics and related theories of Petri nets help establish the correctness of our proposed method. Finally, a series of simulations are performed to evaluate the efficiency of our proposed approach.

Fault localization aims to use testing information from executed test cases to help locate the fault position. However, obtaining testing information (including test results and coverage information) is expensive because it needs much manual effort. How to orderly choose and execute a small number of test cases, and in the meantime achieve a good effectiveness of fault localization in the case of unknowing testing information is still a challenge for us. In this paper, we propose a new test case prioritization algorithm for fault localization, which is based on the rank changes of suspicious values of program elements. Test case which can maximize the improvements of suspicious ranks of program elements may assign the highest priority for execution. A set of empirical studies have been designed and conducted on Siemens programs and four medium-sized programs. The results show that our algorithm can help reduce the debugging effort in terms of the percentage of statements needed to be inspected to locate faults in both single-fault and multi-fault programs.

A large number of studies show that in complex indoor propagation environment, parameters of indoor positioning method for typical applications, such as localization performance of TOA, TDOA, AOA, RSSI method is often less than ideal. In order to reduce the influence of indoor environmental factors on the indoor wireless positioning, improve the positioning accuracy and expand the location area, the indoor wireless positioning method based on WiFi K-means is proposed. The improved distance formula is used to take into account the effect of attribute values, and the difference between different objects can be calculated more accurately. The AP in the position of each room is established by testing the signal strength of different signals. The experimental results show that the precision in location probability of 3 meters is more than 80%, which relative than hard clustering algorithm, positioning accuracy is improved.

Service composition is an important means for integrating the individual Web services for creating new value added systems. However, Web service runs in the heterogeneous environments on the Internet, it is difficult to guarantee the reliability of service composition. To address this problem, we propose a systematic method to model and analyze reliability for service composition. First, we present a formal description language to model the different components of service composition, and use it to analyze the reliability of service composition. Second, we propose reliability assurance strategy to ensure that service composition dynamically meet the required reliability. Third, we present operational semantics and related theories of Petri nets for establishing the correctness of our proposed method. We have also performed a series of simulations to evaluate our proposed approach. Results show that the method can help reveal the structural and behavioral characteristics of service composition, and improve the reliability of service composition.

As a way to compose independent services together to fulfill a function, service composition is an important means for flexible and rapid information integration of complex distribution application in open and heterogeneous environment. Because the participating services may be failure or unavailable, how to guarantee the quality of service composition has become a challenging problem. A service composition model based on Timed Petri net (SCTPN) is proposed in this paper, which is capable of accurately capturing transaction behaviors and time constraints of services. The basic relationships and failure processing strategies between services are also characterized by SCTPN model. Based on states of the constructed SCTPN model, we propose the concepts of greatest concurrent set and transfer matrix to analyze reliability related properties of SCTPN model. Two simplification schemas are established to reduce the complexity of computation. Finally, three specific experiments are conducted to explain the effectiveness of proposed method.

In the heterogeneous and open networks, reputation can help users to make a decision about whether or not to have a transaction with other entities. The feedback data used to evaluate the reputation always comes from different entities in different systems and is expressed in different forms. The variety of forms will increase difficulty of the integrated evaluation. This paper first introduces the different express forms of the reputation, and then gives a detail description about how to translate the feedback reputation information using different form into fuzzy form, and evaluates the integrated reputation based on fuzzy number of fuzzy set theory. The data shows that fuzzy form is more accordant with the definition and evaluation of the reputation, and the methods based on fuzzy set is convenient for the entities to predict the behavior of the object entities. © 2011 Binary Information Press.

This paper proposes a method of modifying the face sketch with text descriptions. Face sketch is widely used in the criminal field and digital entertainment field. Forensic painters usually draw face sketches based on descriptions provided by witnesses or clients. However, drawing a face sketch often takes lots of time and effort. Existing face sketch synthesis studies have not considered text-based sketch manipulation, and we find that applying text-driven editing methods on natural images directly to face sketches causes severe distortion of generated results. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel text-based attribute manipulation method for face sketch synthesis, named SketchCLIP. Our approach adopts text-driven attribute manipulation by using the powerful Contrastive Language-Image Pre-Training (CLIP) model, which not only conforms to the current drawing process of face sketches but also does not require tedious manual operations and allows for more diverse modifications. Besides, we design an intra-modality fine-tuning module to eliminate distortion and improve the quality of the modified face sketch. Through extensive comparison experiments on public face sketch datasets, our method is demonstrated to be very excellent in the effectiveness of the face sketch processing and the quality of modified results.

An improved Hilbert-Huang transform(HHT) combined with wavelet packet transform(WPT) is proposed for recognizing continuous electroencephalogram(EEG) in brain computer interfaces(BCIs). The HHT consists of empirical mode decomposition(EMD) and Hilbert–Huang spectrum(HHS). Firstly, the WPT decomposes the signal into a set of narrow band signals, then a series of Intrinsic Mode Functions(IMFs) can be obtained after application of the EMD. Whereafter, two kinds of screening processes are conducted on the first two IMFs of each narrow band signal to remove unrelated IMFs. Hilbert Transform(HT) is then employed to calculate the HHS, from which energy changes in mu-rhythm and beta-rhythm can be recognized clearly. Datasets I of BCI competition IV 2008 are analyzed. The results show that the proposed method has better discriminability than the traditional HHT among different states. The proposed algorithm has the potentiality to trace mu-rhythm and betarhythm changes, which paves a way for a more enhanced BCI performance.
