Due to the presence of surface texture, the oil film thickness is uneven, and the Reynolds number varies greatly in the whole flow field, forming a mixed flow state of turbulent and laminar flows. The shear stress in the fluid flow field is going to change, and the assumption that there is no slip at the interface between the bearing and oil film may no longer be applicable. Based on the successful application of a shark skin structure model in drag reduction, this paper establishes a texture model according to the shield scale structure of shark skin and considers the influences of turbulence and slip length. This structure is used in the design of the bush surface of journal bearings. It turns out that the shark skin texture can improve bearing capacity and reduce friction in the oil film convergence area. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

With the advantages of high safety and scalability, collaborative robots are widely used in the fields of Human-Robot Collaboration and Interaction. However, the joint limits of the robot restrict its flexibility and workspace, especially in a cluttered environment. Inspired by the motion of the human arm, whose elbow joint and shoulder joint can rotate infinitely, a collaborative robot with the capability of infinite rotation of its first and fourth joints is constructed in this paper and named the IR-Robot. With the breakthrough of the joint limit, the corresponding dimension in the robot's configuration space changes from a bounded dimension to an unbounded dimension. The high-dimensional torus configuration space (HTCS) is presented to describe the bounded-unbounded dimensions hybrid property of the IR-Robot's configuration space. Additionally, an IR-RRT∗ algorithm is proposed to conduct path-planning in HTCS. The experimental results in simulation and the real world demonstrate the feasibility and superiority of the IR-Robot in path-following and path-planning tasks. © 2023 IEEE.

Noncontact humidity sensor overcomes the limitations of its contact sensing counterparts,including mechanical wear and cross infection,which becomes a promising candidate in healthcare and human-machine interface ***,current humidity sensors still suffer the ubiquitous issue of uncomfortable wear and skin irritation hindering the long-term *** this study,we report a skin-conformal and breathable humidity sensor assembled by anchoring MXenes-based composite into electrospun elastomer nanofibers coated with a patterned *** composite is highly sensitive to the water molecules due to its large specific surface area and abundant water-absorbing hydroxyl groups,while the elastomeric nanofibers provide an ultrathin,highly flexible,and permeable substrate to support the functional materials and *** sensor presents not only excellent air permeability(0.078 g cm^(−2)d^(−1)),high sensitivity(S=704),and fast response/recovery(0.9 s/0.9 s),but also high skin conformability and ***,this humidity sensor is confirmed to realize the recognition of motional states and emotional modes,which provides a way for the advanced noncontact human-machine interface.

Multiple Automatic Guided Vehicle(multi-AGVs)management systems provide an effective solution to ensuring stable operations of multi-AGVs in the same scenario,such as flexible manufacturing systems,warehouses,container terminals,*** type of systems need to balance the relationship among the resources of the system and solve the problems existing in the operation to make the system in line with the requirement of the *** multi-AGVs management problem is a multi-objective,multi-constraint combinatorial optimization problem,which depends on the types of application *** article classifies and compares the research papers on multi-AGVs management in ***,according to the different dimensions of the problem,the multi-AGVs management system is analyzed from three perspectives,namely,1)task dimensiondispatch,2)spatial dimension-path,and 3)time *** detailed comparison between the three dimensions and their respective solutions are discussed in detail as ***,according to their utility,the multi-AGVs management problems are divided into three categories:1)cost reduction,resource-oriented,2)efficiency improvement,problem-oriented,3)personalized demand,*** algorithm and methods of the different utility-oriented are analyzed and *** related literature is summarized and corresponds to the composition of the multi-AGVs management system and the multi-AGVs management ***,according to the literature review,suggestions are made for further research.

Impedance Shaping Method for System-Level Stabilization of Droop-Controlled DC Microgrids

DC microgrids (MGs) based on distributed energy resources (DERs) are prone to stability issues due to the negative impedance characteristics of some interface converters. Large-scale MGs need to be compatible with various operation modes and integrate the DERs with different structures, thereby increasing the difficulty of stabilization design. To address this problem, this paper proposes a novel impedance shaping method to achieve system-level stabilization by designing feedback laws for the droop-controlled sources. An impedance shaping criterion is first proposed for the decoupling design of multiple droop-controlled sources. Compared with existing impedance shaping methods, the proposed criterion can be more flexibly applied to a large-scale DC MG. An efficient algorithm is further developed to design the primary droop control by combining the proposed criterion and linear matrix inequalities. The proposed method features a simpler control architecture and can be directly applied to the DERs with different interface converters. Case study based on experiment and benchmark system shows that the DC MG designed by the proposed method has a high stability margin and good transient performance. © 1986-2012 IEEE.

The rapid global development of electric vehicles has heightened the imperative for exacting performance assessments of Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems, a pivotal subsystem within the automotive domain[13]. This research focuses on the EPS automated testing equipment as the research subject, proposing an automated testing system solution for EPS motors in new energy vehicles based on the testing requirements of the entire vehicle factory. The system is primarily composed of three parts: a testing platform, a control cabinet, and an industrial computer, incorporating both hardware devices and software programs. Its purpose is to conduct motor performance tests specifically tailored for EPS power-assisted motors. The testing system can achieve automated execution, data collection, and data analysis, displaying test results and saving test reports. Experimental findings affirm that the motor testing system demonstrates elevated stability and reliability, contributing significantly to the enhancement of testing efficiency and precision, as substantiated by relevant academic literature. © 2024 SPIE.

The MobileOne-YOLO lightweight detection model is put forward for surface defect detection of wafer. Based on the YOLOv7 model, the backbone network is replaced with the MobileOne network. The re-parameterization and refocus convolution (RefConv) module and the coordinate attention (CA) mechanism are introduced into the feature pyramid network (FPN) to enhance feature extraction and strengthen inter-channel connections. As a result, the model performance is further improved. Ablation experiments on a self-collected material dataset validate that the improved algorithm surpasses current algorithms in both detection accuracy and speed. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The assembly process of complex products involves many process links, which is a dynamic process with multiple variables and complex coupling. Effective quality control of the assembly process plays an important role in improving the consistency of complex product quality. However, in the actual assembly process, even if the quality of each component meets the design requirements, deviations still gradually accumulate and spread in the process, and it is ultimately difficult to ensure the assembly quality. To effectively identify the key assembly features and the deviation propagation paths in the assembly process, this paper investigates the assembly deviation propagation problem of complex assemblies based on complex network theory. Firstly, based on the measured data, feature surface information, and assembly process, a coupled network model of parts-features is constructed for describing the complex assembly systems by taking assembly parts as nodes and assembly relationships as edges. Then, the node importance indexes of the assembly deviation propagation network are measured to identify the key assembly features, and trace and control the corresponding deviation assembly nodes. Finally, as a typical complex multi-stage process, the diesel engine assembly system is used for validation. Through experimental comparison with actual assembly processes, the results show that this method can effectively model the deviation flow in multi-stage assembly processes, identify key quality factors, and achieve deviation traceability. © 2024 IEEE.

An improved ViBe algorithm is presented to enhance the target extraction of complete wafers. Substrate images with clear edges, complete structure and low noise can be obtained by applying the improved ViBe algorithm. Experimental results show that the enhanced algorithm has higher accuracy and recall rate than other algorithms and the effect of IC wafer target extraction process on dynamic substrate is improved. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

An improved NSGA-II algorithm for the dual-resource constrained multi-objective flexible job shop scheduling problem (DRCMOFJSP) is proposed, with improved encoding and decoding and an optimized genetic evolution strategy. In addition, the problem of multi-objective optimization is solved by using non-dominated ordering and congestion computation.
