In virtue of modern control theory, combining with the analysis of structure and principle of direct current comparator (DCC), relative error formula of direct current ratio was derived to theoretically analyze the steady state value. Resolve each part of transfer function and then compound the closed-loop transfer function. Employ Nyquist stability criterion to judge the system stability;establish the closed-loop transfer characteristic simulation model;take unit ampere turn value as example and the simulation result was analyzed. The results showed that the secondary side fast tracked the primary side signal and output signal smoothly, without obvious transition appearance such as overshoot and oscillation, according with the principle of DCC. The steady-state error of direct current ratio is 2.5×10-8, consisting with the derived theoretical value, meeting the expected design requirements. © 2021 IEEE.

The article implemented an uncertainty evaluation method for output power of microwave digestion system, based on the adaptive Monte Carlo method and the correlation of inputs. The result is compared with that obtained by GUM method. By using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Normal probability method, the probability distribution of the output has deviated from normal distribution in a certain interval. The Result of GUM method is not validated, and MCM method is proved to be faster and more efficient in the case of complex models and correlative cases. © 2021 IEEE.

To enable adjustable sensitivity in lateral shearing interferometry, a tunable snapshot phase-shifting lateral shearing interferometry system based on a liquid crystal polarization grating (SPS-LCPG-LSI) was developed. However, in high-precision surface measurements, system phase-shift errors introduced by the LCPG and the pixelated phase mask (PPM) can significantly affect measurement accuracy. To ensure precision, the sources of various system phase-shift errors in the SPS-LCPG-LSI system were analyzed. A Dual-Quality map-guided (Dual-QMG) ellipse fitting algorithm was developed to correct phase-shift errors under varying error magnitudes and intensity distributions. Simulations and experimental results validated the accuracy and feasibility of the Dual-QMG correction algorithm.

Development of a spatial accuracy compensation method based on multi-beam laser interferometer

A mathematical model has been established for the error associated with the degree of freedom for each motion axis, with a correction applied based on the 12-line method in three-dimensional space. A multi-beam laser interferometer is proposed, which comprises four lasers, where different laser combinations can be used to measure different parameters, ultimately achieving simultaneous measurement of errors for the six degrees of freedom. This has informed the development of a spatial error measurement and accuracy compensation system. The error in the X/Y/Z axis data of the computer numerical control (CNC) machine tool is determined using the multi-beam laser interferometer. Spatial accuracy compensation is achieved by applying a software algorithm, and the positioning accuracy is obtained by measuring the same axis at different spatial coordinate positions to verify correction of the angular error. The experimental results have confirmed that after spatial error compensation, linear positioning accuracy, horizontal and vertical straightness errors were improved by nearly 96%, 89% and 55% respectively;the average and maximum deviations of positioning accuracy were improved by nearly 88% and 91% respectively. © The Author(s) 2025.

In order to research the discharge properties of the direct carbon fuel cell (DCFC) with a molten metal anode, the experimental system with a reactor is designed and constructed. The reaction mechanisms at both anode and cathode are analyzed. The molten Sn and Sb are used as the anodic material for comparison. The cell performance of DCFC is tested before and after discharging in the battery mode and the carbon fuel mode, respectively. In the battery mode, due to the different states of metallic oxides, the current density is not degraded after discharging with the molten Sb anode, but sharply decreases with the molten Sn anode. On the contrary, the cell performance with Sb is much worse than that with Sn after discharging in the carbon fuel mode, which is result from the volatility of Sb together with the reduction of its oxide. The above studies will help to thoroughly understand the underlying mechanism of DCFC with a molten metal anode. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Balancing efficiency and meat quality during the thawing of frozen meat remains a big challenge for meat industry. In this study, the effects of three thawing methods, including ultrasound-assisted thawing (UT), solid-state microwave thawing (SMT) and air thawing (CT) on the quality and protein physicochemical properties of beef in a pilot scale, were investigated. COMSOL Multiphysics simulation was employed to predict the thawing process, identifying an optimal endpoint of no more than -2 ºC. Results showed that optimized SMT efficiently avoided overheating and greatly balanced the thawing efficiency, meat quality and physicochemical properties of myofibrillar proteins, resulting in better water-holding capacity, lower levels of TBARS value and protein oxidation, while though UT kept better color and reduced protein denaturation, serious mechanical damage and aggravated protein oxidation limited its application. Thus, SMT could be a promising solution for industrial applications to thaw frozen meat. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The article describes the importance of microwave digestion system in many different scientific fields, and proposes a calibration method for lack of calibration specification in China. The method focuses on temperature, pressure and output power. It defines their measuring points, technical requirements. An experiment is carried out to calibrate the output power with its expanded measurement uncertainty. This paper presents a sensor fault diagnosis method for the satellite attitude determination system based on analytical redundancy and wavelet transform. Specifically, we design a full-order observer to achieve fault detection. After the fault is detected, wavelet transform is used to isolate the fault sensors. Moreover, the gyroscope faults are estimated by using the algebraic observability. The proposed fault diagnosis approach combines the analytical redundancy-based method and the signal processing technique, its major benefit is that the computational burden is effectively reduced by introducing the fault detection method based on the analytical redundancy. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
