A novel Image security Protection Method Based on DCT Compression Theory and Hyper-chaotic Mapping

This paper studies the current situation of image compression encryption and analyzes the influence of low frequency (DC coefficient) and high frequency (AC coefficient) on image structure in DCT transformation. Based on this, a novel image security protection method based on DCT compression theory and hyper-chaotic mapping is proposed. First, the position of the pixel of the original image is disturbed, and converts the image from spatial domain into frequency domain by the two-dimensional DCT transformation and quantization. Second, change the pixel values by modifying the values of the sign bit of AC coefficient and DC coefficient. At last, the encrypted image is obtained by carrying out inverse quantization, inverse transformation and reverse operation by bit.

The integration of edge computing with deep neural networks (DNNs) is crucial for intelligent industrial cyber-physical systems. Typically, deploying DNNs on heterogeneous edge devices relies on methods like model compression and partitioning. However, these approaches often result in homogeneous models across devices. This homogeneity limits the collective capability of edge computing systems, particularly in terms of generalization to diverse data distributions and adaptation to dynamic industrial environments. In this work, we propose to treat each DNN on an edge device as an independent model, aggregating their capabilities via ensemble learning to enhance generalization and dynamic adaptability. To realize this, we introduce the Adaptive Ensemble Knowledge Distillation Framework (AEKDF), combining cloud-based model training with edge computing based collaborative inference. In the cloud, AEKDF develops an enhanced Born Again network that generates diverse, lightweight models tailored to specific edge devices through knowledge distillation. This process ensures model diversity which is critical to effective ensemble learning. On the edge, AEKDF employs an adaptive ensemble technique that aggregates prediction logits across devices, enabling rapid adaptation to changing environments and maintaining inference efficiency. Our extensive evaluations conducted on a realistic prototype demonstrate the substantial boost in predictive performance achieved by our AEKDF, showcasing a 4% to 10% accuracy improvement on the CIFAR-100 compared to conventional single-model approaches, while maintaining low latency. © 1983-2012 IEEE.

For increasingly complex communication demands of large-scale AI communication systems, the Space-Air-Ground Integrated network (SAGIN) better caters to demands but also raises concerns about resource scarcity and diversity. This paper innovatively combines Graph Pointer Neural networks (GPNN) and Reinforcement Learning (RL) to enhance resource allocation efficiency. The method leverages the advantages of GPNN in handling graph data and RL in optimizing decisions in dynamic environments. It also targets the optimization goal of maximizing resource allocation while minimizing deployment latency. This paper begins by modeling SAGIN and elucidating the SAGIN logical architecture based on Software-defined networking (SDN). Subsequently, it introduces an SFC deployment algorithm aimed at joint optimization of resource allocation and latency. The algorithm leverages GPNN and RL to deploy virtual nodes and links, with the goal of optimizing resource allocation and deployment latency. Experiment findings conclusively demonstrate that the efficacy of proposed algorithm in effectively weighing limited heterogeneous resources and minimum mapping delay. Notably, when compared to three other SFC mapping algorithms MLRL, NFVdeep, and RL, the proposed algorithm consistently outperforms them, with an average improvement of 10.17% in long-term average reward/cost, 11.21% in link resource utilization ratio, 15.34% in node resource utilization ratio, and 16.38% in acceptance ratio.

Nowadays, data plays a unique role in various fields. Based on the background of the era of big data, this paper collects user evaluations of certain commodities and labels the evaluations into positive emotions and negative emotions. We propose an intelligent recommendation algorithm based on Naive Bayes algorithm, which determines the user's preference for a product according to the user's opinion on a product, then uses the collaborative filtering algorithm to recommend other similar products according to the similarity between the product and other products, so as to realize the recommendation of other similar products. This can not only help users choose more goods in the environment, but also maximize the value of goods. In this paper, bayesian classifier was used for prediction, and the accuracy reached about 97%.

By observing the fact that moving in a straight line is a common flying behavior of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in normal applications, e.g., power line inspections, and air patrols along with highway/streets/borders, in this paper we investigate the secrecy outage performance of a UAV system with linear trajectory, where a UAV (S) flies in a straight line and transmits its information over the downlink to a legitimate receiver (D) on the ground while an eavesdropping UAV (E) trying to overhear the information delivery between S and D. Meanwhile, some information is delivered to S over the uplink from D, such as commanding messages to control S’s detecting operations, which can also be eavesdropped by E. The locations of S, D, and E are randomly distributed. The attributes of object contours has great significance for instance segmentation task. However, most of the current popular deep neural networks do not pay much attention to the object edge information. Inspired by the human annotation process when making instance segmentation datasets, in this paper, we propose Mask Point R-CNN aiming at promoting the neural network’s attention to the object boundary. Specifically, we innovatively extend the original human keypoint detection task to the contour point detection of any object. Based on this analogy, we present an contour point detection auxiliary task to Mask R-CNN, which can boost the gradient flow between different tasks by effectively using feature fusion strategies and multi-task joint training. As a consequence, the model will be more sensitive to the edges of the object and can capture more geometric features. Quantitatively, the experimental results show that our approach outperforms vanilla Mask R-CNN by 3.8% on Cityscapes dataset and 0.8% on COCO dataset. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. Ad-Hoc network which is one kind of self-organized networks is much more vulnerable than the infrastructural network with the properties of highly changeable linkage, dynamic structure, and wireless connections so that the tradition intrusion detection system (IDS) should be improved to adapt in such network with limited computing resources and open channels. To ensure the security in Ad-Hoc network, the efficient anomaly detection methods should be probed. Over the past years, many studies have implemented anomaly detection methods (intrusion detection techniques) based on machine-learning methods in this field. This article analyzes the existing security problem in Ad-Hoc network, presents the basic theory of intrusion detection for Ad-Hoc network, and reviews the current and recent anomaly detection methods used machine learning techniques in the intrusion detection system. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Recently published graph neural networks (GNNs) show promising performance at social event detection tasks. However, most studies are oriented toward monolingual data in languages with abundant training samples. This has left the more common multilingual settings and lesser-spoken languages relatively unexplored. Thus, we present a GNN that incorporates cross-lingual word embeddings for detecting events in multilingual data streams. The first exploit is to make the GNN work with multilingual data. For this, we outline a construction strategy that aligns messages in different languages at both the node and semantic levels. Relationships between messages are established by merging entities that are the same but are referred to in different languages. Non-English message representations are converted into English semantic space via the cross-lingual word embeddings. The resulting message graph is then uniformly encoded by a GNN model. In special cases where a lesser-spoken language needs to be detected, a novel cross-lingual knowledge distillation framework, called CLKD, exploits prior knowledge learned from similar threads in English to make up for the paucity of annotated data. Experiments on both synthetic and real-world datasets show the framework to be highly effective at detection in both multilingual data and in languages where training samples are scarce. © 2021, CC BY.

The rapid development of cloud computing probably benefits many of us while the privacy risks brought by semi-honest cloud servers have aroused the attention of more and more people and legislatures. In the last two decades, plenty of works seek to outsource various specific tasks to servers while ensuring the security of private data. The tasks to be outsourced are countless;however, the computations involved are similar. In this paper, we construct a series of novel protocols that support the secure computation of various functions on numbers (e.g., the basic elementary functions) and matrices (e.g., the calculation of eigenvectors and eigenvalues) on arbitrary n ≥ 2 servers. All protocols only require constant rounds of interactions and achieve low computation complexity. Moreover, the proposed n-party protocols ensure the security of private data even though n − 1 servers collude. The convolutional neural network models are utilized as the case studies to verify the protocols.
