Image-text matching is an important task in cross-modal information processing, which consists of evaluating the similarity between images and text. However, the data of the two modalities have different distributions and representations, which cannot be directly compared. Therefore, the two modalities need to be processed separately. Most existing image-text matching methods extract image fragments and text fragments separately, using an attention mechanism to establish relationships between regions in the image and words in the text. Subsequently, they aggregate the similarity of these images and text fragments. Regardless, not all fragment alignment is meaningful, and irrelevant fragment alignment will bring redundancy and reduce retrieval accuracy. In addition to that, there are contextual relationships between image regions and between text words, which should also be taken into account. In this paper, we simultaneously consider these two aspects and propose a Semantic-Enhanced Attention network (SEAN). It first focuses on each modality, mining contextual relationships between fragments within each modality and aggregating contextual information into visual and textual embeddings. Then, we compute the similarity between all image regions and text fragments, focusing all attention on the region-word pairs with the highest similarity. Finally, we summarize these to infer the similarity between the image and text. Our method achieves competitive results on two generalized image text retrieval datasets, Flickr30K and MS-COCO.

Semi-supervised techniques for medical image segmentation have demonstrated potential, effectively training models using scarce labeled data alongside a wealth of unlabeled data. Therefore, semi-supervised medical image segmentation is one of the key issues in engineering applications of medical artificial intelligence. Consistency constraints based on prototype alignment provide an intuitively sensible way to discover valuable insights from unlabeled data that can motivate segmentation performance. In this work, we propose a dual prototypes contrastive network (DPC-Net) to motivate semi-supervised medical segmentation accuracy by imposing image-level global prototype constraints and pixel-level local prototype constraints. First, we introduce a Background-Separation Global Prototype Contrastive Learning technique that utilizes the natural mutual exclusivity of foreground and background to separate the inter-class distances and encourage the segmentation network to obtain segmentation results that are more complete and do not contain background regions. Second, we design a Cross-Consistent Local Prototype Contrastive Learning techniques to extend the perturbation consistency of the two networks to the prototype's localized response to the feature map, thereby shaping a more stable intra-class prototype space and producing accurate and robust pixel-level predictions. Finally, we comprehensively evaluate our method on mainstream semi-supervised medical image segmentation benchmarks and settings, and experimental results show that our DPC-Net outperforms current state-of-the-art methods. © 2024, The Authors. With the increasing intelligence of power IoT terminal devices, the massive volume of data transmission, and the widespread adoption of shared services, traditional terminal boundary security mechanisms are unable to keep up with the rapid development of network technologies and applications. Additionally, they fail to trace and source network attacks, leading to frequent organized and purposeful malicious attack incidents. To address these issues, this paper proposes a research method for risk modeling and traceability of boundary attacks on power IoT terminals based on complex networks. First, based on the node information of power IoT terminal devices and complex network theory, a terminal boundary attack network (TBAN) is established. Next, using indicators related to complex network theory, such as degree, in-degree, and out-degree, the terminal boundary attack network is analyzed. Furthermore, a staged TBAN is proposed to analyze the attack risks at different times. Then, combining causal theory, a method for tracing and sourcing terminal boundary attacks based on a causal Bayesian network is proposed to identify and trace malicious attacks. Finally, validation and testing analysis are conducted using the actual deployment of power IoT terminal devices. The proposed analysis method transforms the spatial characteristics of the power IoT terminal boundary into a temporally sequential TBAN, which not only visually reflects attack risks but also reveals the temporal relationships of terminal boundary attacks between lines. © 2024 IEEE.

Since the discovery of COVID-19 in late 2019, the viral pneumonia crisis has begun to spread rapidly around the world. Lesion segmentation can remove unnecessary background areas and help doctors diagnose the condition. However, the infected areas showed differences at different stages, and the border between the infected areas and the surrounding tissue was blurred. To solve this problem, a novel COVID-19 lung infection segmentation network (Mix-Net) is designed for the automatic identification of infected areas from chest CT slices. Specifically, first, the local and global features of the infected areas are extracted and interacted with using the mixing block. Then, the features extracted from multiple layers of the encoder are fused and connected to the decoder. Experiments show that Mix-Net outperforms most cutting-edge segmentation models and achieves good segmentation results.

A 2-bit encoder based on the plasmon-induced transparency (PIT) effect was proposed and investigated in the range from 2 to 7 THz. The Lorentz oscillation coupling model was utilized to confirm the simulation. By tuning the Fermi levels of cross1 and cross2, the 2-bit encoder was achieved. And the minimum MD was 94.73 %, the minimum ER was 12.77 dB, and the maximum IL was 0.32 dB. As a sensor, the structure had a sensitivity of up to 2.33 THz/RIU. In addition, due to the insensitivities to incidence angle and polarization angle, the encoder could be utilized to complex environments. Therefore, these results reveals that our work is significant in terahertz encoders, optical switches, sensors, slow light devices, and modulators. © 2024 The Author(s)

Domestic violence (DV) is getting more and more attention due to the critical trouble and danger that pose great challenge to human rights and health. The popularity of various social medias can help these victims to share their experiences and obtain more possible support from numerous open communities. However, it is not only inefficient but also laborious and time-consuming to manually access and browse through a great deal of available posts on the Internet and social media space. Therefore, considering the advantages of Deep Learning (DL) technology in Natural Language Processing, adopting DL as an efficient strategy for automatic recognition and evaluation of DV victims is in the urgent requirements. This paper takes social media Facebook posts about domestic violence as the research object and uses Word2Vec to build word vector model. The paper uses Bi-LSTM+self-Attention deep learning models to accomplish DV crisis recognition task and compares it with CNN, RNN and LSTM. The assessment of experimental results show that the accuracy of CNN and LSTM are both above 90% which is better than RNN;And the accuracy of Bi-LSTM is the highest after using the Attention mechanism. The research results of this article will provide reference and help for public DVCS to rescue DV victims. © 2022 IEEE.

Industrial data collection is the foundation for implementing enterprise digitization, which is of great significance to the development of intelligent manufacturing. However, Industrial Data Collection Standards (IDCS) are primarily published in paper or PDF formats, which makes it challenging to associate and reuse knowledge. This brings difficulties to data collection and management of heterogeneous devices, thus affecting the adaptive collection of industrial data. For this reason, this paper introduces SMART into industrial data collection and proposes the construction and application of a knowledge graph-based SMART Model. First, ontology semantic reasoning and natural language processing techniques are utilized to develop an ontology model for industrial data collection and extract fine-grained IDCS knowledge. Then, the knowledge is integrated according to the standard primitive structure and conceptual reasoning rules by constructing a standard association model to form the Industrial Data Collection Standards Knowledge Graph (IDCS-KG). Finally, the SMART competence level is quantitatively assessed based on the completion degree of each operation within the SMART Model. An experimental case study demonstrates that the SMART Model can collect intelligent adaptive industrial data through the reasoning and analysis of equipment adaptation protocols and data quality management strategies.

We present GauKGT5, a sequence-to-sequence model proposed for knowledge graph completion (KGC). Our research extends the KGT5 model, a recent sequence-to-sequence link prediction (LP) model. GauKGT5 takes advantage of textual characteristics inherent in the knowledge graph, exhibiting a small model size. However, KGT5’s proficiency in link prediction necessitates the ensemble with a knowledge graph embedding model, which itself poses challenges due to its substantial size and expense. By integrating the Gated Attention Unit into the KGT5 model and directly applying it to the encoder-decoder structure, we achieve improved contextual dependency capturing within the sequence, resulting in enhanced prediction accuracy, accelerated training speed, and enhanced computational efficiency. At the same time, we introduce parallel computing as a means to enhance the efficiency of model training and inference within the XPU distributed computing environment.

The integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system can simultaneously provide communication and radar sensing, effectively improving spectrum utilization. However, existing research mainly focuses on the mono-static sensing ISAC system, which has shortcomings in limited sensing range and accuracy. We thus investigate a passive sensing multi-ISAC system with multiple communication users and sensing targets, and consider two cases for multi-target sensing without and with prior target knowledge at the base stations (BSs), in which the BSs are interested in estimating the targets' response matrix and channel coefficients, respectively. We also formulate a joint beamforming problem to minimize the Cramér-Rao bound (CRB) of the worst estimation constrained by communication requirements, and obtain the optimal solution with semidefinite relaxation (SDR) assisted transformation. To verify the advantages of our proposed scheme, we consider the bi-static BSs system (B-B) and beamforming with sensing interference cancellation (W-S) as two benchmark schemes. Numerical results illustrate that the proposed scheme obtains better sensing performance and effectively alleviates the effect caused by sensing interference. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Due to the fact that many realistic problems are multimodal optimization problems (MMOPs), multimodal optimization has attracted a growing interest. In this paper, a Species-based differential evolution with migration algorithm is proposed for MMOPs. First, a migration strategy is developed to improve the exploration ability of species with less individuals. Then, an improved operation of creating local individuals is introduced to help the algorithm to find high-quality solutions. Finally, an archive mechanism is applied to preserve the best solutions found during previous generations and avoid the loss of the peaks. Experimental results on CEC2013 test problems confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm compared to several well-known multimodal optimization algorithms. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
