In the wireless power transfer (WPT) system, the internal resistance of the coil will lead to the loss of electric energy and affect the transmission performance of the system. It is of great significance to establish an analysis model with coil internal resistance for the design of WPT system. In this paper, an equivalent circuit model of LCC-LCC compensated WPT system is proposed. According to the proposed model, the influence of circuit parameters, including coil internal resistance, on the transmission performance of WPT system is analyzed. The analytical expressions of system output power and efficiency are derived, and the index for optimizing the constant current (CC) output characteristic of the system is given. Finally, the constant current output characteristic and zero phase angle (ZPA) characteristic of the WPT system are verified by simulation model. The simulation waveform is basically consistent with the theoretical analysis results, which can provide reference for the parameters design and optimization of the WPT system. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. In this paper, a method of single-phase grounding fault line selection based on high frequency energy proportion of zero sequence current and polarity clustering is proposed. According to the energy proportion of the high frequency components of zero sequence current extracted by VMD in the first 1/4 cycle, and combined with the first half-wave polarity of zero sequence current, a synthetic feature matrix is constructed to characterize the fault characteristics of transient zero-sequence current. The fault lines are identified by genetic simulated annealing Fuzzy C-means clustering(FCM) algorithm without threshold setting. Using RTDS/ RSCAD to build a 10kV distribution network system model, different fault conditions are simulated and tested. The results show that the method can achieve accurate and reliable line selection for the possible influencing factors in engineering practice. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). Aiming at the problems of stability and efficiency of full-width cross-axis cutting in large section semi-coal rock roadway under complex geological conditions, a shield type intelligent driving robot system is developed, and a new shield type full-width cross-axis cutting system was proposed. The body structure model of the cutting system was constructed, and the mechanical model of the full-width transverse axis drum of the cutting system, the mechanical coupling model of "cutting robot - rectangular shield - top and bottom wall rock", and the force transfer mechanism in the cutting process of the drum were established. The stability condition of the cutting system is determined according to the relationship between the stability moment and the jumping moment of the cutting system, and the stability coefficient model of the cutting system when the shield and the roof are coupled is established. The Adams simulation model of the cutting system is established, and the cutting performance of the coal rock with hardness of f6 is simulated, and the stability coefficient is always greater than 1.1. The simulation and industrial test results show that the shield type full width transverse axis cutting system has characteristics of good stability, cutting efficiency and high forming quality. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Pulse coding technology can effectively improve the performance of the phase-sensitive optical time domain reflectometry (Phi-OTDR) system, but the cross-correlation decoding for mass data along a long sensing distance brings a lengthy extra time cost. In this paper, a pre-frequency-shift method is proposed for the lightweight demodulation in the random number coding Phi-OTDR system. By using the first-order sideband generated by the phase modulation, this method can effectively reduce the frequency of the beating signal, thus reducing the requirement of the data sampling rate. The principle of the cross-correlation decoding algorithm based on sequence interpolation is studied, and the extra computation caused by the cross-correlation operation is analyzed theoretically. In the experiment, the validity of the pre-frequency-shift scheme is verified, and the sampling rate of the system is reduced from 500 MSps to 100 MSps. Comparative experiments using conventional down-sampling techniques with sampling rates of 250 MSps, 125 MSps, and 60 MSps validate the superiority of the proposed method. Finally, the vibrations of different frequencies are successfully located at 62.24 km with a spatial resolution of 5 m. At this distance, the algorithmic time cost of the proposed method is only 13.28 % of that of the traditional scheme. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

Traditional evolutionary algorithms require a large number of computations for fiber optimization. This paper proposes an enhanced radial basis function-based global and local optimization algorithm to improve efficiency. The algorithm incorporates a surrogate model-based pre-screening module, which integrates both global and local models to improve the exploration and exploitation of the search space. It also employs a local model-assisted search strategy to refine promising regions. A comparative analysis with several other optimization methods is provided. To optimize two low-loss, polarization-maintaining fiber structures, the algorithm needs just 100 evaluations per model, decreasing the computational effort by at least an order of magnitude compared to conventional methods. The best-achieved birefringence is 1 × 10 −4 , with a loss of 0.3 dB/m.

With the rapid development of a new generation of Big Data and artificial intelligence, intelligent fault diagnosis of industrial processes including chemical processes, coal mining equipment operations, etc., has become increasingly important. The local–global interval embedding algorithm (LGIEA) has attracted significant attention for its capability to simultaneously extract local and global features from interval data. However, this method can only process linear interval data and performs poorly in terms of extracting strong nonlinear features. To solve the problem, this study proposes a new intelligent fault diagnosis method based on kernel LGIEA (KLGIEA), which extends the linear process monitoring model to nonlinearity. First, the interval inner product estimation (IIPE) is transformed into the kernel IIPE by introducing kernel function, which can not only inherit the advantage that LGIEA can extract both global and local features of data simultaneously, but also has stronger applicability to nonlinear data in industrial processes. Second, the four statistics defined can effectively monitor the fault of industrial equipment under strong interference environment such as noises, and the nonlinear reconstruction contribution (NRC) can effectively identify the fault variables, improve the fault diagnosis ability of KLGIEA. Finally, two cases of the Tennessee Eastman process (TEP) simulation data from Eastman Company and site shearer fault data obtained from Shaqu No. 2 coal mine show that KLGIEA is significantly superior to complete information principal component analysis (PCA), midpoint-radius kernel PCA, and LGIEA in processing nonlinear interval data, improving accuracy, applicability, and reliability of algorithm. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

Light field information includes the position and angle information of light in space. A camera array is one of the methods for obtaining light field information, which combines and arranges multiple cameras in space to achieve multi-angle imaging of the same target. Based on the light field information, a computational imaging method can be used to achieve refocusing technology for a camera array (also known as optical synthetic aperture imaging technology). In this technology, by setting the focusing coefficient, the light field information can be focused on different depths. This mode is called taking photos first and focusing later. However, in order to focus on a specific object surface, traditional refocusing methods require users to manually adjust the focusing coefficient multiple times, which is time-consuming and user-unfriendly. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an automatic focusing method based on the optimal focusing coefficient map (OFCM) to address the manual refocusing problem. This method transforms the refocusing problem into obtaining the optimal focus coefficient map. In the process of solving OFCM, the threshold filtering method and the neighborhood filling method are used to optimize the results and improve the robustness of the proposed method. The experimental results show that our proposed method has higher imaging quality and faster running efficiency compared to automatic refocusing methods based on disparity maps and gradient functions. © 2025 Optica Publishing Group under the terms of the Optica Open Access Publishing Agreement.

intelligent multi-component fault diagnosis method driven by vibration-mapped images of mechanical transmission system

In order to realize the intelligent multi-component fault diagnosis of bearings, rotors and gears in a mechanical transmission system under low speed, weak faults and few measurement points, a fault diagnosis method based on improved vibration-mapped gray texture images (GTIs) and multi-scale lightweight convolutional neural network was proposed. An improved gray texture image with enhanced features was obtained by robust local binary pattern (RLBP) on the traditional gray image. Based on the standard convolutional neural network (CNN), a multi-scale lightweight CNN (MSLCNN) model was constructed by adding batch normalization, multi-scale convolution and simplified full connection layer. The fault diagnosis experiment under 700 r/min and a single measurement point was designed, and seven typical faults of bearings, rotors and gears were simulated. The investigation shows that the model parameters of the proposed fault diagnosis method are 0.30 M, the floating point operations (FLOPs) are 127.22 M, the model size is 1. 17 MB, and the average diagnostic accuracy is 98.42%. It provides a new feasible approach for the data-driven multi-component fault diagnosis of the mechanical transmission system based on the deep learning. © 2025 Chinese Vibration Engineering Society. Enhancing IC substrate manufacturing through differential geometry and lightweight networks for etching defect detection

With the advancement of high-density interconnect technology in semiconductor manufacturing, the precision and complexity of integrated circuit (IC) substrates have significantly increased, placing higher demands on quality control. Efficient and accurate detection of complex etching defects, which often occur during manufacturing, has become critical to preventing potential product defects. A defect detection method is proposed that combines a lightweight network with differential geometry tools to address the issue of etching defects in IC substrates. First, an improved deformable model is used to rapidly extract regular circuit trace contours from complex metallographic images, and morphological processing is applied to enhance the details, achieving precise image segmentation. For under-etching defects between circuit traces, differential processing of the original and segmented images is performed to locate abnormal regions. Subsequently, an optimized lightweight network based on MobileNet, termed OMNet, is designed to achieve the rapid identification of under-etching defects in these regions. For etching defects occurring on circuit traces, the DGEtch method employs a high-precision discrete curvature calculation based on the Frenet frame to evaluate angular discontinuities in contours, enabling accurate detection of etching defects. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves an average recall rate of over 95% and maintains a precision above 90%. It exhibits high accuracy and stability in detecting etching defects and consistently outperforms existing models, particularly in handling complex mixed defects. This study provides an effective solution for detecting complicated defects in high-density IC substrate manufacturing. © 2025 The Society of Manufacturing Engineers
