Aiming at the problem that the amplitude of load oscillation is not easy to control in the movement process of overhead crane, this paper designs a switching PID control method based on whale optimization algorithm(WOA) to improve the performance of position control and anti-swing control for overhead crane. WOA is used to better adjust the parameters of PID controllers. The switching control is realized by a switching module, which defaults to the output of the Position PID Controller to provide control force for the trolley. When the absolute value of the load swing angle fed back by the crane system exceeds the warning value, the switching module immediately blocks the output of the Position PID Controller, and uses the Angle PID Controller to determine the control force. In addition, through theoretical analysis and simulation experiments under different conditions, the results verify the effectiveness of the WOA based switching control in position control and anti-swing control for overhead crane. Improve the efficiency and safety of overhead crane in practical industrial applications.

Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a nonlinear signal that reflects the physio-logical state of the brain at different times, containing rich information. However, the possible interference during the collection and transmission process often leads to a large amount of unnecessary noise in the EEG signal. Traditional denoising methods may face difficulties in high-dimensional data processing and the inability to effectively handle different types of Gaussian white noise. To better eliminate the interference of Gaussian white noise, this article specifically adopts the Hierarchical Rauch-Tung-Striebel Smoother (HRTS) method. This method can effectively integrate the learned structural prior EEG signals into the state space model, thereby describing the relationship between EEG signals and noise. Capture the spatiotemporal characteristics of EEG signals through hierarchical modeling, and optimize the components of EEG signals through estimation and prediction of hidden variables. Finally, the mean square error (MSE) is used as an evaluation indicator to compare and evaluate the denoising results. Empirical research has shown that the HRTS algorithm can not only effectively reduce runtime and better process high-dimensional data, but also significantly improve the quality of EEG signals, effectively suppress noise interference, and more accurately reflect the characteristics of brain activity. Compared to denoising algorithms such as Kalman filtering and Kalman wavelet filtering, the HRTS algorithm has more advantages in denoising EEG signals. © 2024, J. Network Intell. Cybersecurity researchers always ignore the "people" behind the issues when dealing with cyberspace security issues. The human and technological aspects of cyberspace security must be simultaneously addressed to enable a secure cyber environment. Social engineering is a discipline whose research object is people, and the combination of social engineering and cyberspace security can provide new solution ideas for lots of cyberspace security issues. This paper attempts to answer the question —— "How to solve cyberspace security issues via social engineering?" We briefly review existing frameworks for social engineering attacks and propose a novel, recursive, and iterative framework for social engineering attacks in cyberspace. The existing research achievements of combination of social engineering and cyberspace security were reviewed in the order of cyber personality, hacker psychology, human flesh search, and social engineering defense. To answer this question, we summarized four "guidelines" for using social engineering. Finally, we look ahead, give our thoughts, and discuss answers of the question and future research. Complex networks are frequently employed to model physical or virtual complex systems. When certain entities exist across multiple systems simultaneously, unveiling their corresponding relationships across the networks becomes crucial. This problem, known as network alignment, holds significant importance. It enhances our understanding of complex system structures and behaviours, facilitates the validation and extension of theoretical physics research about studying complex systems, and fosters diverse practical applications across various fields. Media Attention and ESG Greenwashing: Evidence from Chinese Listed Companies

We investigate the relationship between media attention and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) greenwashing using the data of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2020. Our results show that media attention can inhibit corporate ESG greenwashing behavior. Moreover, this inhibiting effect is mainly caused by paper media and becomes more prominent in non-state-owned enterprises (non-SOEs). The mediation analysis proves that media attention plays an important role in improving investor attention, thereby inhibiting corporate ESG greenwashing. The moderation analysis indicates that the effect of media attention on inhibiting ESG greenwashing is weakened in companies with more analyst following and higher quality of internal control. Our study provides a new view on the governance of ESG greenwashing in China. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This study introduces the Quantum-Train Quantum Fast Weight Programmer (QT-QFWP) framework, enabling efficient and scalable programming of variational quantum circuits (VQCs) through quantum-driven parameter updates for the classical slow programmer controlling the fast programmer VQC. By optimizing quantum and classical parameter management, QT-QFWP significantly reduces parameters (by 70–90%) compared to Quantum Long Short-Term Memory (QLSTM) and Quantum Fast Weight Programmer (QFWP) while maintaining accuracy. Benchmarking on time-series tasks—including Damped Simple Harmonic Motion (SHM), NARMA5, and Simulated Gravitational Waves (GW)—demonstrates superior efficiency and predictive accuracy. QT-QFWP is particularly advantageous for near-term quantum systems, addressing qubit and gate fidelity constraints, enhancing VQC deployment in time-sensitive applications, and expanding quantum computing’s role in machine learning.

Efficient, temperature-insensitive electromagnetic attenuation materials are critical for high microwave absorption at high temperatures. This study presents SiC/TiC/SiTiOC hybrid nanofiber mats constructed using an in-situ synthesis method;these mats incorporate SiC/TiC as the microwave loss unit and SiTiOC as the antioxidant unit, offering an innovative approach to high-temperature microwave absorption. The introduction of high-conductivity TiC not only optimizes the dielectric constant and impedance matching of the material but also enhances its thermal cycling stability. This design ensures steady electromagnetic attenuation, enabling the hybrid nanofiber mats to maintain robust absorption performance in the X-band, even at high temperatures. At 873 K, the material demonstrates an effective absorption bandwidth of 3.6 GHz and a minimum reflection loss of-45.55 dB. Compared to single-system absorbers, such as SiC/C nanofiber materials, with a single system, the multicomponent SiC/TiC/SiTiOC hybrid nanofiber mats deliver reliable absorption performance in the temperature range of 293–873 K. This study confirms that highly conductive titanium-based ceramic materials used for dielectric property regulation effectively address the challenges of poor temperature stability and limited reusability in high-temperature carbon-ceramic absorbing materials, providing valuable insights and guidance for designing efficient microwave absorbers that can operate across a wide temperature range.

A hybrid surrogate-assisted dual-population co-evolutionary algorithm for multi-area integrated scheduling in wafer fabs

In wafer fabrication, multiple areas handle different processes and production flows. To maintain the desired chemical and physical properties of wafers, strict time window constraints (TWCs) must be observed as wafers progress through these areas. However, independent scheduling within each area without collaboration complicates resource allocation and hinders overall production optimization. Implementing multi-area integrated scheduling is thus essential for effective production management, aiming to reduce total lead time and production costs. This paper proposes a hybrid surrogate-assisted dual-population co-evolutionary algorithm (HSA-DPEA) to efficiently tackle the multi-area integrated scheduling problem under multiple TWCs. The algorithm employs a dual-population co-evolutionary mechanism, consisting of normal and auxiliary populations, to balance convergence and diversity while ensuring feasibility. The normal population focuses on feasible solutions to maintain overall quality, while the auxiliary population explores infeasible regions to identify promising individuals that can guide the normal population's evolution. To enhance evolutionary efficiency and reduce the number of time-consuming real fitness evaluations, a hybrid surrogate-assisted model is introduced. This model adapts by training regression or classification models at different stages of population evolution. Additionally, an online learning strategy based on convergence and diversity is employed for continuous model updating to improve accuracy. The proposed algorithm is tested on 18 instances and validated through six months of continuous testing on a wafer fab simulation system. The results demonstrate that HSA-DPEA obtains better Pareto optimal sets, effectively reducing total lead time and production costs in multi-area integrated scheduling under multiple TWCs.

With the appearance of the new engineering concept in 2017, the mode of talents development in colleges and universities has also changed. Combining with the core idea of engineering certification and the new requirements under the background of new engineering, in this paper, we put forward to a set of comprehensive software engineering course design for engineering certification in the new engineering environment, which is guided by engineering education, aims at improving students' engineering practical ability and innovation, provides a method of solution for the reform of software engineering course design under the new engineering background.
