Cloud storage services have been used by most businesses and individual users. However, data loss, service interruptions and cyber attacks often lead to cloud storage services not being provided properly, and these incidents have caused financial losses to users. Second, traditional and single-cloud model disaster recovery services are no longer suitable for the current complex cloud storage systems. Therefore, a scheme to provide disaster recovery for cloud storage services in a multi-cloud storage environment is needed in real production. In this paper, we propose a disaster recovery scheme based on blockchain technology. The proposed scheme outlined in this study aims to address the issue of data availability within the cloud storage landscape. The proposed scheme achieves this goal by dividing data into hot and cold categories, verifying the integrity of copy data via blockchain technology, and utilizing blockchain networks to manage multi-cloud storage systems. Experimental findings demonstrate that the proposed scheme yields superior results in terms of computation and time overheads. © 2023 IEEE.

In a multi-cloud storage system, provenance data records all operations and ownership during its lifecycle, which is critical for data security and audibility. However, recording provenance data also poses some challenging security and storage issues. In this paper, we present a secure and efficient multi-cloud storage data source scheme, BMDP. We use blockchain technology to ensure the secure storage of provenance data and design a smart contract to utilize the provenance data to ensure the proper operation of the multi-cloud storage system. Finally, we analyze the scheme's safety and do simulation experiments to show that the scheme has practicality. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper introduces the Temporal Transform Network based on Scale Sequences (TTS) for cloth-changing person re-identification in video datasets. The TTS network is designed to capture multi-scale temporal cues within video sequences. It accomplishes this by initially modeling short-term temporal cues between adjacent frames, followed by capturing long-term relationships between non-consecutive frames. In more detail, short-term temporal cues are modeled through parallel inflated convolutions with different time dilation rates, enabling the representation of pedestrian movement and appearance dynamics. Long-term relationships are effectively captured using a temporal self-attention model, mitigating challenges such as occlusion and noise within the video sequence. The TTS network outperforms existing methods across cloth-changing video ReID datasets such as CCVID. For instance, under general settings, our approach exhibits a 1.1% improvement in top-1 accuracy and a corresponding 1.1% increase in mAP compared to the baseline. In cloth-changing settings, we observe a 0.2% enhancement in top-1 accuracy and a notable 1.3% increase in mAP relative to the baseline. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper aims to enhance the efficiency of teaching and learning by leveraging computer vision technology for automated analysis of student behavior in the classroom. We propose a feature-enhanced method for recognizing student behavior, which integrates an Upsampling module (UPS) and a convolutional block layer (CBL) module into the YOLOv5 model. This innovative approach significantly improves the detection and feature extraction capabilities for student targets, effectively addressing challenges associated with small-sized targets and lowresolution images. Through algorithm optimization, it achieves a balance in sample diversity, enhancing the model's adaptability and generalizability in complex classroom environments. Building upon these technological advancements, we have developed a Classroom Student Posture Perception system (CSP2S). This system integrates functions for data collection, student behavior detection, and result visualization. The CSP2S operates in realtime by capturing and analyzing students' behavioral dynamics while providing teachers with immediate feedback. Experimental results demonstrate that this system substantially reduces teachers' workload in student assessment, offering significant potential to improve teaching effectiveness. These robust technical advancements provide strong support for future applications in real educational environments. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, oriented object detection technology has made significant progress. Most oriented object detectors represent oriented bounding boxes by adding additional angle information to the horizontal bounding box representation, which leads to serious angle periodicity issues. To address these issues, this paper proposes double midpoint vectors (DMvectors) to represent oriented objects. For any oriented bounding box, we align the center point with the origin in the Cartesian coordinate system, and evenly distribute the midpoints of the box edges across the four quadrants. We use the midpoint of the first and second quadrants, as well as the width and height of the box, to represent the oriented bounding box. DMvectors solve the periodic problem of angles by implicitly including angle information in vectors. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method, we conducted extensive experiments on two common remote sensing datasets (DOTA and HRSC2016), and our method achieved competitive results. © 2023 IEEE.

The evaluation of programming course instruction is a key component of educational management. However, relying solely on supervising teachers for assessment poses challenges in comprehensive evaluation and providing feedback on students' classroom learning status. Additionally, a significant amount of monitoring video data from programming courses in Chinese universities remains underutilized. To address these challenges, this paper combines traditional educational management with artificial intelligence and proposes an intelligent algorithm for detecting students' learning status in programming courses. We first establish a dual YOLO network model to analyze students' postures and screen content in programming classroom monitoring videos, thereby identifying their behaviors. Subsequently, we develop a Programming Classroom Student Behavior Recognition system (PCSBS) that integrates data collection, student behavior detection, and result visualization functionalities. Experimental results demonstrate that the system can accurately provide feedback on students' programming course learning status, offering graded results that assist supervising teachers in their classroom instructional evaluation tasks to enhance educational management efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

Forecasting the yield of wafer by using improved genetic algorithm, high dimensional alternating feature selection and SVM with uneven distribution and high-dimensional data

Wafer yield prediction, as the basis of quality control, is dedicated to predicting quality indices of the wafer manufacturing process. In recent years, data-driven machine learning methods have received a lot of attention due to their accuracy, robustness, and convenience for the prediction of quality indices. However, the existing studies mainly focus on the model level to improve the accuracy of yield prediction does not consider the impact of data characteristics on yield prediction. To tackle the above issues, a novel wafer yield prediction method is proposed, in which the improved genetic algorithm (IGA) is an under-sampling method, which is used to solve the problem of data overlap between finished products and defective products caused by the similarity of manufacturing processes between finished products and defective products in the wafer manufacturing process, and the problem of data imbalance caused by too few defective samples, that is, the problem of uneven distribution of data. In addition, the high-dimensional alternating feature selection method (HAFS) is used to select key influencing processes, that is, key parameters to avoid overfitting in the prediction model caused by many input parameters. Finally, SVM is used to predict the yield. Furthermore, experiments are conducted on a public wafer yield prediction dataset collected from an actual wafer manufacturing system. IGA-HAFS-SVM achieves state-of-art results on this dataset, which confirms the effectiveness of IGA-HAFS-SVM. Additionally, on this dataset, the proposed method improves the AUC score, G-Mean and F1-score by 21.6%, 34.6% and 0.6% respectively compared with the conventional method. Moreover, the experimental results prove the influence of data characteristics on wafer yield prediction. © 2022, The Author(s).

Machine learning models are increasingly used in time series prediction with promising results. The model explanation of time series prediction falls behind the model development and makes less sense to users in understanding model decisions. This paper proposes ES-Mask, a post-hoc and model-agnostic evolutionary strip mask-based saliency approach for time series applications. ES-Mask designs the mask consisting of strips with the same salient value in consecutive time steps to produce binary and sustained feature importance scores over time for easy understanding and interpretation of time series. ES-Mask uses an evolutionary algorithm to search for the optimal mask by manipulating strips in rounds, thus is agnostic to models by involving no internal model states in the search. The initial experiments on MIMIC-III data set show that ES-Mask outperforms state-of-the-art methods. Copyright © 2023, Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (***). Due to over-abundant information on the Web, information filtering becomes a key task for online users to obtain relevant suggestions and how to extract the most related item is always a key topic for researchers in various fields. In this paper, we adopt tools used to analyze complex networks to evaluate user reputation and item quality. In our proposed Accumulative Time Based Ranking (ATR) algorithm, we take into account the growth record of the network to identify the evolution of the reputation of users and the quality of items, by incorporating two behavior weighting factors which can capture the hidden facts on reputation and quality dynamics for each user and item respectively. Our proposed ATR algorithm mainly combines the iterative approach to rank user reputation and item quality with temporal dependence compared with other reputation evaluation methods. We show that our algorithm outperforms other benchmark ranking algorithms in terms of precision and robustness on empirical datasets from various online retailers and the citation datasets among research publications. Therefore, our proposed method has the capability to effectively evaluate user reputation and item quality.

Multi-hop reasoning has been widely studied for its important application values in the domain of intelligent search and question answering. Real-world applications are often dominated by natural language input, and it is difficult to directly model the relation semantics in natural language to fit the multi-hop reasoning model. In addition, the extremely large scale and complex structure of knowledge graphs increase the challenge. We propose a natural language and knowledge graph fusion model (NLKGF) for multi-hop reasoning. NLKGF embeds knowledge graph by fusing natural language semantics during the graph propagation process and adds a relation attention mechanism to enable entity representations to perceive the contribution of different relations. A relation path encoder is designed to encode the relation path by an improved recurrent neural network, the reasoning entity is obtained by calculating the correlation score with the natural language. We tested the performance of the NLKGF model on two datasets requiring multi-hop reasoning. The experimental results show that NLKGF beats advanced benchmark models in multi-hop reasoning tasks, which proves superiority of our model. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
