In this paper, a new rational approximation method for fractional-order differentiator aαand integrator sα(0<α<1) is presented. The method is based on the joint optimal rational approximation definition in the given frequency range and the error. First, a definition of joint optimal rational approximation is proposed and the constructing steps of the fractional-order integrator are discussed. Then the approximation algorithm of fractional-order integrator based on the joint optimal rational approximation definition is given. The construction steps of fractional-order integrator are explained by an illustrative example. Finally, the performance comparison result among the proposed approximation model, the Oustaloup's method and the best rational approximation method shows that the amplitude-frequency characteristic and phase-frequency characteristic of the joint optimal rational approximation method are better than the Oustaloup's method and the best rational approximation method. And the proposed model has higher approximation precision. © 2016 SERSC.

The weight coefficients of the diaphragm spring depend on experiences in the traditional optimization. However, this method not only cannot guarantee the optimal solution but it is also not universal. Therefore, a new optimization target function is proposed. The new function takes the minimum of average compress force changing of the spring and the minimum force of the separation as total objectives. Based on the optimization function, the result of the clutch diaphragm spring in a car is analyzed by the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) and the solution set of Pareto is obtained. The results show that the pressing force of the diaphragm spring is improved by 4.09% by the new algorithm and the steering separation force is improved by 6.55%, which has better stability and steering portability. The problem of the weight coefficient in the traditional empirical design is solved. The pressing force of the optimized diaphragm spring varied slightly during the abrasion range of the friction film, and the manipulation became remarkably light. © 2016 by the authors;licensee MDPI.

An intelligent CAD system for Involute cylindrical gear cutting tools is developed by VC++ and SQL server, and it includes four modules, such as user interface, instance query, intelligent gear tool design and database. The intelligent gear tool design is the key to the intelligent CAD system, and it is based on the forward reasoning production system, and as the Intelligent reasoning technology is used for gear tool design, a lots of expert knowledge could be made full use of. The design results by the developed intelligent CAD system are more reasonable than those by a traditional CAD system, and the efficiency and quality of the gear tool design also could be improved. The developed intelligent CAD system supports both 2D and 3D models, which can lay foundation for CAD/CAE/CAM integration of gear cutting tools. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Inverse design is the process of using a certain means of measurement to measure entity or model, and according to the measurements, refactoring physical CAD model through Three-dimensional geometric modeling methods. Basing on the little model, use reverse engineering methods, three-dimensional scanning technology and Raindrop Company produced the inverse engineering software to finish the reverse three-dimensional modeling design of little bear punch. Applying Master CAM to set parameters, simulation run, and automatically generate NC code, in the vertical machining center, complex curved surface NC machining of the model can be finished. In engineering practice, it can improve work efficiency, reduce the labor intensity of product development, and reduce the artificial error of the design. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

As inner cooling grinding can break the closure of grinding area and solve practical engineering problems resulting from too high grinding temperature, it can be used to realize the grinding of difficult-to-machine materials, such as Titanium alloy, in a general machine such as M7130. An inner cooling grinding wheel, a grinding carriage and cutting fluid system are the key parts of a inner cooling grinding system, and an inner cooling grinding wheel must be fixed on a plain grinder by a grinding carriage, so this paper mainly studies how to design and manufacture a tooling for an inner cooling grinding wheel, which has simple construction and reliable performance. Grinding experiment shows it can dramatically reduce cutting temperature and effectively avoid grinding burn, thus grinding quality is improved. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
